Dennis Dennis wakes up and pushes himself to his paws, he yawns and stretches he looks around the old shed and walkes over to the shed door on his padded paws and pushes the door open with his nose. He turns right and padds over to mikes house, he goes through the doggie door and goes to his room. Seeing mike he jumps up mikes bed and makes three circles before lieing down. He whispers "Good night mike" he yawned and continued "i wish you could understand me" he sighed and tried to fall asleep Mike He jerked around and pushed dennis with his hand "Come on dennis, why do you come here every night" he laughs and leans up, he stretches and lets out a long yawn. "Come on boy lets feed the team" he smiled and got up from his bed, he made is way to the kitchen and pours 5 bowls, He walks over to his front door and shivers as the cold air blows on his face. Mike left to go to the shed. He opens the door and calls out "Apache, Miska, Fray, And Snow come on breakfast" he watches the dogs wake up and he drags his feet back to his house. He Leads them to there bowls that have there names on them, he makes some coffie and leans on the counter watching his dogs. Fray When fray heres mike he jumps up and bolts out of the shed and into the house, he stops by his food and eats. "So, what do you think bout arctic breeze always winning?"he asked with a mouth full of dog food. his tail wagging rappidly, he flintches as mike leans over and pats him on the head. When he was done eating he laid down his head on his paws, he yawned and looked up at mike "i love it here even is we barely win" he laughed licking his chomps. Snow She padded out of the shed and followed close behind mike, he yawned and srunched up as the cold air ran through her pelt. When she made it into the house instead of eating she laid on the rug next to a warm fire, Snow heard fray and laughed "Dont talk with your mouth full" she barked continued "And i think it sucks, how about you Miska and Apache" she asked not noticing dennis. Dennis "Guys eat quickly, we have to train soon, even if you dont care if we lose" he stoped but shortly after continued "we have to win or we get no money and mike cant care for us" he said his voice tone serious. 0 players like this post! Apache Upon hearing her name called the young dog leapt to her paws, rushing towards him as quickly as possible. AS she realized that she's not given herself enough time to stop she begins to force her weight down and came to a skidding halt, hitting Mike leg. "Sorry!" she spoke to the human, knowing he didn't understand her, before raising to her paws again. Hearing Dennis give and order she went to a bowl, diving her head into it and beginning to eat. "What are we doing today?" she asked Dennis as she ate, her mouth full of food. Hearing Snow ask she shrugged "I get fed, somewhere to sleep, something to do. I mean it's not as good as my old home but it's nicer and not so lonely. You never know we may get better and win more" she shrugged. She didn't want to offend anyone with her answer so spoke in a careful manner, not something she did often at all. Layla The tri-coloured dog had awoken that morning and given a large yawn, instantly heading into her masters room and waking them. As they woke she trotted downstair, hearing the familiar footsteps come down and go into the kitchen. She took a long drink from her water bowl as her human made some odd, brown liquid to drink. Giving a soft whine they nodded their head followed by the words 'alright, alright' as they went to what she saw as 'her cupboard' and her tail began to wag. Hearing the sweet sound of food in her bowl she trotted over and began to eat, it was rather lonely being the only search and rescue dog since her mother passed, but at the same time it made her feel needed. 0 players like this post! Mike He laughed and pet Apache on the head and smiled "ok guys eat up we have to train" he said and got his coffie and sat on the couch turning on the TV, and rubbed Snow with his foot. Snow She rolled over and kicked her leg with a pant, then got up and ran over to her bowl "i actully think we are going to train you know what we always do he ties a sled to us and we race" she laughed and lapped up some water. 0 players like this post! Whittaker Whittaker was one of the first to wake up. He made it a priority to wake up early, because he was the Leader. "All right, dogs! Let's get up!" He barked, his ears pricked and tail raised, but wagging. He knew Glacia and Wynter were coming to watch them train today. The three had been friends since they were young. He was excited, this would be Wynter's first time seeing the team practice, Glacia had watched before. 'Time to show her what the team can really do.' Glacia and Wynter Glacia awoke with a yawn, nestled in her comfy bed. She could smell coffee, so that must mean that the Sheriff was already up. She got up and stretched before padding into the kitchen, where the Sheriff was eating his breakfast. She barked and wagged her tail, padding to his chair and sitting beside it. "Hey, Glacia. Good morning." He would say. Glacia padded to her food bowl and quickly ate her food before racing outside, where Wynter was waiting for her. "Hello!" The hyper Keeshond said, her fluffy tail wagging. "Hey, Wynter. You ready to watch the sled team practice?" She asked. Wynter merely nodded happily and began to pad off, towards where the Arctic Breeze team usually slept, Glacia chuckling and following after her friend. 0 players like this post! Bullet He jumped up hearing his leader he padded over to Whittaker "what are we going to do today?" he asked and let out a yawn. he shook his pelt trying to wake himself up, he looked side to side and grunted "LILLY, ANGLE GET UP!!!" he barked a little annoyed that lilly and angle weren't up. He grunted as he sat down and scrachted at his ear, Bullet looked to his leader and barked in a bold tone "Sorry i had to yell" he let out a sigh. Lilly and Angle Bother the girls jumped up at bullets voice , angle flintched and lilly just got pissed and padded up to bullet "Hey what makes you think you can just yell at us when we are sleeping" Lilly growled and held her tail and head high. Angle pulled lilly back and whispered in her ear "Lilly calm down Whittaken wante us up its not bullets fault" she laughs and wags her tail "so what are we going to do to day? 0 players like this post! Misto He let out a loud and booming howl across sitka, he looked around the village and jumped of his rock to rock to get of his mountian. when he reached the ground, he padded over to were snow sweepers home was, he looked through th window curious of what the sled dogs were doing next. When he saw they were doing nothing he ran over to were the arctic breeze's lived to see what they were doing, he let out a sigh and whispered "nothing's happening today" he laughed and padded around the village thinking every one was asleep this early in the morning. Misto flinched and ran into the woods hearing a gun shot humans yelling and seeing a bullet, when he was deep in the forest he gasped for breath and growled "Why are humans always mistaking the wolves for monster, when really there the monsters" he sat down and scrached at a flea. 0 players like this post! Glacia and Wynter Glacia and Wynter reached the shed in which the Arctic Breeze team slept in, and they sat outside, waiting for them to come out. As they waited Glacia straightened her fur, making Wynter giggle. "Are you trying to impress Whittaker?" She asked, making the Siberian Husky roll here eyes. "No, I just need to look professional, I am the Sheriff's dog." She said with a sigh, straightening her posture so that the golden Sheriff's badge on her collar had a glint in the morning sunlight. Wynter thought that she had a crush on Whittaker, but she really only thought of him as a friend. Whittaker "Well, it's Kentahtents turn to choose." Whittaker told Bullet, looking over at the other Leader with a sigh. He was still sleeping. "But I wanted to wake you guys up so that we could be fully awakened for training. We should head out and check the weather." He barked, padding out of the shed. It was a cold day with snow, but there was no rain or wind, so that was good. Suddenly he saw Wynter and Glacia. Miska Following Mike out of the shed, Miska stretched, twisting her head to one side with a yawn. I shake rapidly, my pelt moving with the motions. Sleepily, I follow behind Snow and Mike, welcoming the warmth from the house. I pad lazily to my bowl that has my name printed in cursive white lettering. During eating I bark to Snow to her, "I agree. I really thought we might of won the last race." I said, still sleepy in the eyes, "But," I flex my claws into the tile near my bowl, "We will beat them this time. We have to." I stand and look at Mike, now alert, barking rapidly, "Mike, lets train!" I spin in circles and bark more at Mike till stopping and looking up at him. Tonar I perked an ear at the leader's call. I stand with a stretch and a yawn. The large male stepped carefully over any stray tails. I stood tall with the others, "Whittaker, we gonna impress the ladies?" I laugh jokingly. "Time to show them what we got." I said with a smile. Stepping out of the shed I saw that Whittaker was already out. I look at Glacia, "Hello, ladies." I give them my handsome smile. Shila and Nanuk The light brown and white marked female looked up carefully, not to disrupt the sleeping child next to her, Max. I sniff him to check his pressure in my usual route. He was fine, for the morning. I leaped off the comfortable bed, silently, trying my best to not disturb him. I looked out the door of the small room, down the hall to make sure it was clear, which it was. I silently trotted outside through my doggie dog where Nanuk met me every morning. "Hello, beautiful." He puffed out his chest trying to impress me, just making him look more like a giant teddy bear, like the one Max held at night. "Good morning to you too, Nanuk." I walked past him much in his disappointment. "Where are you going?" Nanuk spoke softly. I snorted at him, he acted like a pup. "Going to watch the sled dogs with Wynter." Nanuk trotted at the same speed, "Oh, I know! The sheriff is there also! Maybe I could join you?" Shila rolled her eyes, "Why not?" Soon I reached the shed and stopped as I saw the Sheriff and Wynter with Whittaker and Tonar. "Hello everyone, some turnout for a practice." I chuckled. 0 players like this post! Bullet Bullet walked out of the shed on his padded paws to meet with with tonar, whittaker, he dipped his head to the sherrif dog and the therapy dog. He gave glacia and flirtatious smile "and who might you to lovly laidies be" He asked in a friendly way. He sat down next to whittaker and smiled at the to female dogs, Bullet looked at glacias badge and smiled "you must be the sheriff dog" he laughed and smiled. Mike He looked at Miska "what?" he asked and continued "you want a walk" he said getting up and putting leashes on them, "after a nice long walk we will all train" he says gently to his team. He put a blue leash on Dennis, a purple on Miska, pink on snow, black on fray, and a red on apache. He opend the front door and tuged on all the leashes, before jocking along the sidewalk. Mike slowed down as they past the Arctic breeze's home, "see them, tommorow we are going to beat them" he said in a none jocking tone and speaded his past hoping his team wouldn't bark at the dogs outside the arctice breezes home. Lilly, and angle Lilly and angle ran side by side as they made there way out side the shed, Lilly grunted and rolled her eyes as she saw bullet flirting with one of the females. lillies tail tip twitched in annorance, Angle stepped on lillys tail and whispered "Be polite and dont roll your eyes at them" she let go of her tail and stretched. "Well nice to meet you to" Angle interduced herself, she let out a sigh and mumbled "Hi..." Dennis Dennis jumped up as Mike pulled out the leashes "come on team we need some exercise" he stated and padded over to Mike to let him put on his leash. When Mike opend the door he ran in front used to being in thr front, he trotted and slowed down to match up with mikes speed. "Dont worry every one, the Arctic breeze are going down" he barks loud, and wags his tailas mike speeds back up. Fray & Snow Fray & Snow padd out the door and run after mike trying not to match up to his speed or go further then him."You got that right Dennis" Snow laughs her tail wagging, Fray nodds to snow ans dennis and turns back to look at the rest of the team "How is every one holding up, dont stop keep running" Right after fray says that snow slows down and pants harder. Fray helps her and trys to push her ahead, "Come on guys we got this" he assured his team once more. Kita Kita shakes his pelt as he blinks at the morning sun, he pushes himself to his paws as he sleeps on a porch of the police station. Glacia Glacia looked Tonar over quickly. "Hello." She said politely before smiling at Whittaker. "What took you so long, sleepy-head?" She teased. She was a bit surprised when somebody else greeted her, and she turned her head to see a male Siberian Husky. 'He is handsome, but I'll have to see his personality before I decide on anything.' She thought to herself. "Hi." She greeted. "Yes, I am the Sheriff's Dog. You can call me Glacia. My friend over here is called Wynter. Who might you be, handsome?" She asked with a chuckle. As the other team passed, she heard what Mike said and narrowed her eyes at him. She barked loudly, as if she was telling him off. She made sure that it was loud enough for him and his team to hear. She wasn't going to tolerate such arrogance. 'That human does not want to get on my bad side.' She thought with a low growl. Wynter Wynter smiled flirtatiously at Tonar, wagging her fluffy tail. "I'm Wynter, and who might you be?" She asked happily. Upon hearing the other team, she shook her head. "My mother always told me than arrogance does nothing but make people hate you." She yipped softly before padding over to sit beside Tonar. "Well, well, Whittaker you never told me you had such handsome teammates." Whittaker Whittaker chuckled at Tonar's comment. "Yeah, that's the plan." He joked. "It's Glacia that's hard to impress, she used to be a sled dog herself." He quickly added in a whisper, smiling softly. He had heard the other team, but had chosen to ignore them. "Hush, Glacia. We will show them tomorrow." He said before smiling at Wynter's comment. "You are completely boy-crazy, you know that?" Apache The young female heard the familiar clipping sound of the leash on her collar, her tail beginning to sway in excitement. She's finished her food rather quickly due to the fact that she scoffed anything down that she liked the smell of. "Walk and then training" she told herself, two of her favourite things about her new life. Upon passing the Arctic Breeze teams home she gave a soft growl, her stubborn nature and determination taking over upon the sight of them. "You bet we'll beat them Mike, I don't want to loose my first race. You guys think we can do it?" she then asked Miska and Dennis, after all they were the lead dogs. Layla Having finished her breakfast, she noticed her humans lack of presence which meant only one thing: She was getting herself ready for the day. Layla knew where her special harness was kept, the one that was red with a white circle that had a red cross in it. She had to wear it whenever she went out, after all she was always on duty in case of an avalanche or an accident. She remembered her first rescue: It was a little boy who had gotten himself stuck on a ledge whilst trying to retrieve a ball. The ledge had been too small for a human adult to get to him so she went over, gently licking his hand to reassure him. She'd then gotten him to hold onto her harness, lying across her back and taken him back to his parents, boy the cuddles she'd gotten. Taken out of her memory by the sound of her whistle call and the feeling of the wind she bounded to her human. Layla felt her put the harness on her and her tail began to sway before she stepped outside, wondering where they were off to. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Bullet Bullet smiled at glacia "Well im bullet nice to meet you" he sat up and growled loudly at as the snow sweeper dogs looked over to there team. He flexed his claws and narrowed his eyes at the, He then turned back to wynter and Glacia "well he we are going to train soon, are you going to watch?" he asked keeping his gaze on glacia. Lucky He yawned and stretched, he pushes hmself to his paws and runs out side to meet up with Whittaker, Bullet, Snow, Lilly, and Tonar. "Why did no one get me up" he barked alittle annoyed, "So any way who are these people?" he asked sitting down and holding his croocked paw up to like snow of it. Snow & Lilly Lilly wags her tail seeing lucky up "Well this is glacia and wynter" Lilly points to the silver white dog as she says glacia, and the fluffy dog as she says wynter, Angle laughs seeing one of her best friends finally happy that companny is here. "Well morning lucky, and we did try to get you up, but you wanted to sleep" she laughs and stretched. Mike Mike stoped at a bench and laughed "Well for a sheriff dog she's alittle bitchy" he jocked refuring to Glacia "i sware that dog should get taking of the job if she going to growl at people who is just walking there dogs" he said alittle more serious. Mike went down and rub Miska and Apache on the neck , "Ok well lets head back home and we can train" he said gently and stood back up and walked back to his home. Mike shook his head as he crossed the arctic breezes home, when mike and his dogs arived at there home he took of there leashes and took them outside. He tied sleds to all of them, "ok you know the rout go all the way to the end of the street, and work as a team" he said and yelled out "MUSH" as mike watched his dogs run down the side walk he smiled. Dennis In the front next to miska, he kept looking back at his team mates and his taill wagged happily. "Its been a while sence there as been a good day to race and train" he barked loud so all the dogs can hear him, He panted but kept pushing on. Dennis tried not to look at the arctic breeze team, Dennis pushed harder trying to speed up. "Its ok guys keep it cool" he said trying to make sure all the team mates are ok, He held his tail up high and yelled back "Ok guys good work" he tryed to keep his team in tuch. Fray As he was in the back of the bunch of dogs, he was strongest but was feeling the weakest as he crossed the arctic breezes house. Fray shook his head and looked foward, he tried hard not to slow down and hold the team back. He pushed foward hereing Dennis trying to keep them going and keep them calm, Fray growled and went as fast as he could. No mater what fray did he couldn't shake the thought of lilly out of his head, He let out a sigh and slowed down and whispered "why would she like me" he chuckled hoping no ne heard him. Snow Snow ran behind miska and in front of fray, she slowed down quick and panted "Miska, Dennis i dont think i can take it much longer" she tried to relaxe but her muscles acked, "can we slow down?" she asked looking at Miska as she asked. Misto Misto ran to the entrance of the woods, and ran along the rim of the forests. Misto kept chanting lowly "Come on Snow sweepers you got this" he hoped they could beat there normal time , but he ouldn't take his eye of one of the team dogs. Apache, he slowed down but didn't take his gaze of black and white female. His tail wagged and he smiled as he saw her run with her team. Kita Kita pased the snow sweepers as they ran, Kita watched them and smiled "come on guys you got it" he chanted out loud. Kita always liked the snow sweepers more, he followed behind but could exactly keep up with the fast runners in there team. Miska A growl rumbled in my chest as we past the Arctic Breeze, "We are trying to build up our speed and endurance!" I barked behind me to the team. More gently as I speak to Snow, "Just a little bit more." My eyes showed empathy for her, knowing the feeling. I refuse to show weakness in front of the other team. I bark a sharp tone at the Arctic Breeze telling them to back off. "I refuse... I refuse..." My silent chant to myself seemed to be weak but I continued it anyway. "You all know what happens if we lose!" I howled facing the front but sending the message behind me. I look towards Dennis, afraid what would happen if we did quit. Tonar I look down at Wynter and wink at her about her comment, "No one said such beautiful ladies would come." I look around at the group that had came, I snicker What a turnout for a practice. I look behind me at the Snow Sweepers, feeling bad for the team knowing that they will fail. Bow The red husky male opened his eyes as the team walked out of the freshly built shed. I looked around it and smiled, it looked and smelled like new wood. I step out of the shed and look at the town's dogs. "Aww, I wasn't invited to this meeting?" He chuckled jokingly. Arrow The black and white husky female stood tall knowing that her age was beginning to show but refused it anyway. I walked out of the shed looking at my team with the town dogs. I narrow my eyes at the males flirting with the females. "Aww, you have to do better than that if you wanna be more than friends." Jokingly, the old female snickered and stretched with a yawn, showing off some of her missing teeth in the back. I narrowed my eyes at the females, 'Don't break their hearts or I will break you.' Protective over the team I hear the Snow Sweepers, "Come on! The looser are up before us, are we gonna start training, or what?" Alisa I open an blue eye facing the fire. The heat from the orange flames felt nice from my comfortable spot near the recliner chair that my master sleeps in. I look towards the kitchen and gave a smile. "Looks like I can have a little snack..." I sneak off from my dog bed to the over sized kitchen for just one person. Tom was a lonely soul that looked for someone but couldn't. I was his only girl that he truly loved, as he would say. The kitchen looked new but rustic at the same time. A perfect combination. I sniff the cabinet... Nothing. I look at the fridge. I bite the cloth that Tom always ties to the handle for me to grab to get him his beer. I look at the almost empty fridge... Nothing. I turn towards the cabinet again and claw till it opens. The lowest level had my dog food. But the top... had my jerky. I place my weight in my hind paws and look inside on the top for the elk jerky and finally finding it I snatch it. Chewing through plastic was the hard part, after spiting it out the air filled with the sweet scent of jerky. I pick up everything so nothing was left and ran outside.
