Halfblooded~ Some human's were just born this way, others were forced, some were accepted. These human's aren't completely human. They are part animal. The animal they turn into is their INNER ANIMAL. Some human's are part bird, part bear, part wolf, part horse. These 'humans' are shape-shifters. Not everyone started like that, though. Some people are trialed to be one, some people steal a serum that makes them halfblooded. Some people are forced to take the serum. But they all have one thing in common. They were all sick. It all started when mad scientist Dr. Corvelis mixed up blood and a toxin. He gave the toxin to a patient with cancer and the next morning, she was fine. They thought it was a break through, so they gave it to as many people that could afford this pricey drug. What they didn't know, was that the toxin changes the person into an animal. They start to blend with a certain animals' thoughts, they get their senses. Sometimes, they turn into the animal and never return. Over years, a school has been formed to tame these beasts inside of people. The school is called "The Academy" by the students. The original name has been lost in time. Halfblooded people from all over the world come here to unlock their beast side and tame it. After you school here, you should be able to become your inner animal whenever you choose to. You get the animal's senses, looks, and thoughts. You can be a student, a teacher, someone going through the process, or a thief. If your parents were Half&Human, you most likely didn't find your ability until late teens(15+) If parents were Half&Half, you probably first turned when you were between 5-10. If you took the serum, you turned a few days later. There are rules, but not too hard to follow. 1- Follow Lioden Rules 2-On the top of every post put Name-Gender-Animal, except with your names. (Ex- Miley-32-Cat) 3- 3+ sentences please. 4- If rules are not followed you get a strike 3 total strikes. 5-In other, type Following Footsteps so I know you read the rules. 6- If you do not respond in four days, you get a PM asking if you are still in. If you don't respond in a WEEK and have not INFORMED me of it, you get a strike. If you do not respond in TWO WEEKS you are kicked out. 7- You must tell me if you are dropping/won't be able to reply for a certain number of days. 8- 3 characters MAX 9- Try to keep cursing to a minimum. 10-Try to stay updated with this thread, I may add new rules, new people may join, and stuff of the sorts. Other: Following Footsteps Kaileh and Caiden were friends since they were children, but after she got the serum, they sort of went separate ways. Kaileh had lung cancer, so her parents didn't want her to exert herself too much by seeing Caiden everyday. She still did, though. When the cancer got to be too much for her, her parents made her stay home more often. When she had little but a few days left, her parents ordered the serum. Caiden never saw her again, but she saw him. She would catch glimpses of him in her inner form to check up on him. When Kaileh got older, she decided to try a dating site where she met Sid. After meeting him, they both went to the school to teach once their own schooling was over and that was where she was reunited with Caiden. Sid and Kaileh never started a thing. They thought it would be too awkward since they worked together. The three of them have been best friends ever since. 0 players like this post! He tends to not show his emotions, he feels like he shouldn't burden others with what he feels. But, once someone can get past the robot-like soul he has, it shows that he is kind, loving, and rather goofy. [I'm going to go ahead and fill up 2 of my 3 characters.] Name: Mackenzie Bailey Brookes {Call her Ms. Mackenzie or Ms. Brookes} Age: 32 Gender: Female Appearance: Body Type Appearance Mackenzie has an hourglass figure with slightly noticeable, natural love handles. She's fit and remains active, which gives her a slim stomach and a narrow rib area. Her skin is a slight tan color and her auburn hair tends to appear brown in most lighting. She tries to keep it in a messy ponytail or tame it with braids, but gives up to let it run wild. How did you get the ability: Mackenzie was born into a family of halfbloods on her mom's side, but her grandma was the original carrier as she had skin cancer. The ability passed down until it became her own. Her grandma shifts into a large python,and her Mother a thoroughbred. Mackenzie grew an affinity for a surprising creature that her parents didn't usually relate her to; a wolf. Why are you at the Academy: Mackenzie has had many years to perfect the art of shifting, she currently teaches a class on using their shifts in steps with advanced courses. She focuses on using phantom shifting to allow one to gain more control of their senses, as well as half shifts and other advanced techniques. First Shift: 15 years of age; she shifted in the middle of a dinner party her parents were throwing when her grandma was visiting. Inner animal: Timber Wolf Level: Teacher - Advanced level Shifting Courses Personality: While Mackenzie has a great deal of knowledge, can be loyal to a fault, and is great at communicating in class, but she comes across as harsh. She demands more of people and isn't afraid to exert her status as a senior member of the school; she attended there and now she's one of the most advanced teachers there. This, in her mind, has set her up for alpha status. She prefers to use verbal communication in order to place her students in line, but she isn't below a bit of physical violence if her temper flares enough. How did you get the ability?: Adam's father's side was a weird mix up halfbloods who tended to favor large mammal shifts such as bears or large cats, the ability passed to him. Bio/Background: Adam's father passed away when he was about 5, and his mother has raised him alone. She's been a big influence on him, and he's very formal with most people. He's a feminist with his mother, and supports her in most decisions. As he's grown up a single child, Adam has avoided getting too close to very many people. When he was around 14, he got into more outdoorsy sports. He dabbles in soccer, volleyball, and baseball. Although he loves animals, most except cats tend not to like him. After high school came up, he decided upon Volleyball alone. After learning he was a shifter, Adam denied it for quite a while and isolated himself; he quit all his social activities and tried to ignore the problem. He's not keen on the idea, and wishes he was normal. However, after talking it over with his mom, he's accepted it. As a new shifter, he's got tons to learn, so his mother decided to send him to the Academy. Why are you at the Academy?: As a late bloomer, Adam has even more problems with controlling his shift than most. As his mother is a human, she couldn't help him and had to send him to the Academy; against his will, as he hates shift as it is. First Shift: Adam was on his usual run when he developed a huge migraine. Taking a short break did little to help as it simply gave him less to think about. At the age of 17 he had his first shift. Inner animal: Animal/Form King Cheetah - Genetic Mutation Level: Student; 2nd year attending Personality: Adam isn't a social butterfly and he tries to keep to himself most of the time. While he can open up eventually and give others a chance, they have to prove their loyalty first; he's also not keen on the idea of handing out second chance. Ruining his trust means you'll never again get a benefit of his life or even the possibility of redemption in his eyes; never forgive and never forget. When close to someone, he opens up and reveals who he truly it; a goofball who's socially awkward but still a loyal friend to the core. Most others call it being rude. She feels as though she has to be intimidating and rude because no one will take her seriously because of her height. She's beyond sassy, and never knows when to stop speaking for her own good. She gets into a lot of trouble. She has a short fuse, and if anyone calls her 'cute' because of her height, she'll blow. Later that night, cops came and arrested Alec's mother, though he didn't know the exact reason why. He just assumed that she stole someone's jewelry again. He went to stay with his grandmother while his mother was in custody. Over the next few days, Alec figured out why his mother had been arrested. She had stolen serum. He had read about it, and heard about it in the news. The life saving serum. The amazing serum. The revolutionary serum. The serum with a huge side effect. The change was awful. But after a couple days, it was over. The deed was done. Alec was now a halfblood. Why are you at the Academy?: Alec went to the academy to learn about his new powers.
