Halfblooded~ Some human's were just born this way, others were forced, some were accepted. These human's aren't completely human. They are part animal. The animal they turn into is their INNER ANIMAL. Some human's are part bird, part bear, part wolf, part horse. These 'humans' are shape-shifters. Not everyone started like that, though. Some people are trialed to be one, some people steal a serum that makes them halfblooded. Some people are forced to take the serum. But they all have one thing in common. They were all sick. It all started when mad scientist Dr. Corvelis mixed up blood and a toxin. He gave the toxin to a patient with cancer and the next morning, she was fine. They thought it was a break through, so they gave it to as many people that could afford this pricey drug. What they didn't know, was that the toxin changes the person into an animal. They start to blend with a certain animals' thoughts, they get their senses. Sometimes, they turn into the animal and never return. Over years, a school has been formed to tame these beasts inside of people. The school is called "The Academy" by the students. The original name has been lost in time. Halfblooded people from all over the world come here to unlock their beast side and tame it. After you school here, you should be able to become your inner animal whenever you choose to. You get the animal's senses, looks, and thoughts. You can be a student, a teacher, someone going through the process, or a thief. If your parents were Half&Human, you most likely didn't find your ability until late teens(15+) If parents were Half&Half, you probably first turned when you were between 5-10. If you took the serum, you turned a few days later. There are rules, but not too hard to follow. 1- Follow Lioden Rules 2-On the top of every post put Name-Gender-Animal, except with your names. (Ex- Miley-32-Cat) 3- 3+ sentences please. 4- If rules are not followed you get a strike 3 total strikes. 5-In other, type Following Footsteps so I know you read the rules. 6- If you do not respond in four days, you get a PM asking if you are still in. If you don't respond in a WEEK and have not INFORMED me of it, you get a strike. If you do not respond in TWO WEEKS you are kicked out. 7- You must tell me if you are dropping/won't be able to reply for a certain number of days. 8- 3 characters MAX 9- Keep cursing to the minimum. 10-Try to stay updated with this thread, I may add new rules, new people may join, and stuff of the sorts. Harley - Female - Student - Skunk A grin spread across Harley's face. She was extremely relieved that the others liked her animal. Her first year at the school had been really hard for her because of bullying, but she had grown used to it. Harley looked over at the newest girl. "There should be an announcement about our teachers and stuff soon. I think we just hang out in here until that's done," Harley explained with a shrug. She liked helping out other students. Caiden - Male - Teacher - Lion "I haven't tried it, no. I didn't even know it existed. I'm assuming you haven't tried it either?" Caiden looked around for a minute. "Where did Kaileh even go? I didn't see her leave. Maybe she left without us!" Caiden laughed to show that he wasn't serious. He knew she wouldn't do that. Caiden was always slightly intimidated by Sid, and he couldn't explain why. He often worried that he acted awkward around him and that Sid noticed. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He thought of bringing her back to their table but decided against it when he saw her walking to a group who seemed ready to welcome her. Aaron looked at the boy, "It's okay bro. Probably shouldn't have caught you off guard like that. It's my first time being at this school too. As for what I am..." He contemplated for a moment, "I... don't know exactly... Nikki-Female-Student-Raven Nikki rushed through her conversation with the lady at the front desk. "Yeah, that's my mom's signature." She said easily, while in her head she remembered all the times she'd practiced writing it. She shuffled through papers quickly and left as soon as it was finished without a "thanks" or "goodbye." So she was late to this orientation thing, nothing new. She was late to most things. She brushed a few strands of hair away from her face- the ones that had escaped her messy bun. She went through the double doors and glanced around the room quickly, seeing students either alone or talking with each other. Ew. She went and sat at a table alone without making eye contact with anyone and crossed her legs. Hopefully none of these peasants would bug her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He watched everyone show their animals and interact from the corner. Reading over his schedule and introduction letter was enough without a flock of little kids screaming. Sighing, he pushed his loose hairs back from his face, furrowing his brow. Half of this made no sense. Shifting Science? Animal Sensibilities? What was all this? Where was the math? The sports? Sighing, he resigned to simply appear as though he was reading, peeking at the other students. Mackenzie Bailey Brookes | Teacher - Advanced | Timber Wolf| The woman walked in quietly, voting to wear her mini tonkas for the orientation rather than the usual heels. She also wore blue jeans, a grey tank top, and a small olive green crop jacket over it. She looked pretty much like a student from her young stature, although her height of 5 foot 11 could give her some odd looks; a tall woman. That's another reason to add why heels weren't her forte. Slowly integrating with the students, she hung back a bit in the lesser crowded areas to see how much control they all had. Phantom shifting, she honed her senses to pick up on specific words and phrases with a simply glance at who was speaking. She limited the animalistic effect on her brain, trying to avoid growling or stating her dominance. She was the most advanced teacher here, control was like second nature. 0 players like this post! Ashleigh Okumura-female-peacock Ashleigh sighed heavily as she looked towards Kaileh. "I'm tired, but, I have a feeling today there won't be much trouble..." She felt a little awkward talking to Kaileh since she never spoke to her much in staff briefings let alone outside of school. Ashleigh glanced back at her papers to occupy herself in the awkward silence, spotting a small white space on a page she took out her pen and scribbled nonsensical doodles all over. And to make it worse, the itch was terrible. She remained perfectly still, knowing that the smallest movement could disrupt her control; a crack in an already fragile armour, where the tiger would claw its way free. Not here, not now, please.. I'll let you out soon, just not here. If we cooperate, we can do it somewhere away from teachers; here we'll just be locked down immediately. Is that what you want? she tried to reason with it, and miraculously, it settled down; but not before it had demonstrated its power over her by forcing a displeased grunt from her mouth. She whimpered; it had grown stronger than she though it had. Then there were voices. Arya looked up confused; there was a worried-looking teacher by their table, and the red-haired girl was picking up her bags to leave. "I- what? Oh yeah, see you around, Scarlett!" She said dazed. She had no idea what had happened while she had been struggling- she wondered if the teacher had tried to talk to her as well. She looked after Scarlett and the teacher as they left, and a spark of curiosity rose in her. This is not the right time to go sneaking around, she told herself strictly. And so she looked up at the teachers gathered at the front of the room and waited. He had arrived early in order to "come in time for orientation@- at least that's what he had told his parents. In fact, he had absolutely no need to, or desire to be at the orientation yet; he knew what the teachers were gonna say, when they would say it, and what would happen later. He'd just show up in his mix with the students as they left for the classrooms and show up in his class. He had gone early to get away from his parents- anything to get away from them. The leopard growled in unison with his feelings for them. One thing that was fun at being there early though, was to see the newcomers; messing with them was always entertaining. "Well, mate, should we go and greet some first years?" He said out loudly, just as much to the beast as to himself. It purred, and he let it escape his mouth. ((I'm back!)) Scarlett | Female | Student - Beginner | Black Panther Scarlett slowly wakes up, feeling a lot more relaxed than she was before she turned. Sighing, she stood up and walked over to her bag, her head was no longer hurting and the panther was quieter than normal. She takes out her clothes and quickly gets dressed, noticing all of the claw marks that her panther left behind. She hastily presses the button that Kaileh told her to which will tell anyone on the outside that she's ready to be let out. She takes out a brush from her bag and runs it through her messy red hair a couple of times, making sure that she looked somewhat presentable. When I turned, I was in my bed room, and I have this HUGE mirror in my bedroom so I turned, I saw myself. I used to watch a ton of documentaries, so I knew what I was the second I turned! Did you know that Blackinston's Fish Owls are one of the largest species of owls? And did you know-" Alec stopped suddenly. "Oh, jeez, I'm sorry. I just kept going on about my inner animal...Hey, if you'd like, I can help you identify your inner animal the next time you turn." Alec looked back down at his hands, then suddenly back up again. "I'm so sorry! I don't think I ever introduced myself. My name is Alec. Alec Gunn." He stuck out his hand, awaiting a handshake. Sid Connie - Male - Patagonian Mara "Ah, no, I sadly haven't had the chance to. And I believe Kaileh left to help a student....Last I saw of her, she was talking to one of the students and then they disappeared. Maybe the student's animal was some predator." Sid shuddered. "Untamed predators sound frightening. I mean, I'm a giant rodent. I practically scream 'eat me'." Sid chuckled. He noticed that Caiden seemed nervous. Arn || Male || Expert-Student || Leopard He entered the building and the warm air engulfed him; he could feel his stiffened muscles relax. It was actually pretty cold outside, so the warmth was welcome. After registering his arrival, he wandered through the corridors, but to his disappoinment, they were deserted. I guess i'll have to wait a little longer, he thought grudgingly. He stopped as a red light flashed over and over outside a heavy door- one of the emergency rooms for safe, quick changing. Peeking in, he saw a red-haired girl putting her comb back into her bag. He let some of the panther's characteristics seep into his features; the sharp teeth, the cat-like eyes, and knocked on the glass. "I see someone's been naughty." She really hoped they'd know she'd meant the safe room. She went over to the other girl that scarlet was sitting next to. She sat in front of the girl. "Hey, my name is Kaileh. I'm a teacher here." She started. She looked into the girls eyes. Her voice was calm and soothing. Kaileh smiled at the girl, trying to calm her down. "Do you need anything?" She asked. She recognized her as the teacher who had taken Scarlett out of the room. "Hi," she said. She tried to hold the teacher's gaze, but the tiger was very present- and it was seeing her direct gaze as a challenge. She bit her lip and looked down, trying to keep her armour free of creaks. "Oh, sorry, I'm new here. Uhm.... i'm having some problems with not shifting, but i think i'll manage," she said, trying to keep her voice strong even though the painw as once again searing through her body. She fisted her hands, trying to remain unchanged. She gasped slightly as claws poked through her skin, drawing blood, and quickly straightened her fingers again so she woudln't damage herself further.
