Was he in the doorway? Did he ever enter the room? Was the door even open? The more I read the more confused I get

Random Advisor~ DORM AND CLASS NOTIFICATIONS ARE FINALLY HERE!!!! YAY!
The man walked up to the podium. He had shaggy brown hair and green eyes. His glasses were a bit askew. He tapped the microphone, trying to get everyone's attention. "Hello students," He said in a surprisingly low voice. His voice didn't much match his looks. He looked down at the paper in front of him, holding his speech and information. He looked up at the frightened and cooled faces every once in a while. "I am Mr. Gemdi. You won't see me often. I am going to assign you all to your teachers and dorms. Once you know your teacher, and what dorm you live in, please follow your teacher. He, or she, will show you to your dorms. Classes will begin tomorrow morning as soon as possible." He took a pause to make sure everyone was listening. "First off, teachers. Beginner student's, Titan Miles, Alec Gunn, Aaron Lake, Adam Thomas, Lilith Umbro, Samantha Smith, Nikki McCuri, Logan Nighthaven, Arya Grüders, and, last but not least, Scarlet Blackthorn. I would like you to meet your teacher, Sid Carnie." Gemdi paused to look up at the man with the dirty blonde hair talking to Kaileh Newn. He always had his hair in a bun. "Now, Average leveled students. Bea Parker, Light Stryker, and Storm Stryker, you will all have Kaileh Newn this year," He said. He looked at the red headed girl in the back. Her attention currently captured by Ashleigh's sudden appearance by her side. Keileh looked up and waved at the students, letting them know that she is the average leveled teacher. "Valentina Silvers, and Conner Carter, you are in Caiden York's class as pro's." He paused again and looked at Caiden. He had short brown hair with stubble growing on his face. "Now, for you experts. Harley Gibson, and Arn Hemming, you will have Mackenzie Bailey Brookes." Gemdi stopped again to look at the female. Her hair in her ever messy ponytail. He then looked down at the paper again. "You students will have roommates in your dorm. If you have any problems with these, come to me after. I will say that any rooms with an add number have two beds, any with an even number have three beds. Ladies first. In room A1 is Lilith Umbro, and Samantha Smith. In room A2 is Nikki McCuri, Arya Grüders, and Scarlet Blackthorn. In A3 will be Valentina Silvers, and Harley Gibson. And, in A4will be Aleaha Becons, Bea Parker, and Chloe Mendez. Now, for the gentlemen. In B1 is Titan Miles, and Alec Gunn. In B2 will be Aaron Lake, Adam Thomas, and Light Stryker. In B3 is Arn Hemming, and Conner Carter. And, in B5 is Storm Stryker and Logan Nighthaven. I may be adding as new students come, so you may get another roommate, or class mate, or student." Gemdi looked up to make sure everyone was following along. He ended with, "Now, everyone go see your teachers so they can show you to your dorms, and have a nice day." He left the stage.

Arya || Female || Student - Beginner || Bengal Tiger

"I'm sure he will, i heard a lot of nice things about this place. Okay," she said, forwning a little. Scarlett had been in tehre for a very long time now. I hope she's okay, she thought worriedly. Arya hoped she hadn't harmed herself any. She looked up then to see a man stepping up and speaking. There were very many beginners, and almost no Pros and Experts. There were so many people she hand't met before; she felt apang of regret that she hadn't been trying to get to know people better. She was pleased, though, that she'd be roommaates with the one person she knew here. and Nikki was probably nice too. Arya was already looking forward to starting. Huh, looking forward to school.. that's a first, she thought wryly.

He leaned against the doorframe and looked at the man speaking. There were very few experts this year, too. last year's experts had all graduated, though he knew people were free to stay until they felt they mastered their animal. Sometimes it barely took any time; otehr times, many years.

Scarlett | Female | Student - Beginner | Black Panther

Scarlett instantly walks out of the room as soon as the door was open, thankful to be out of it. "Thanks." she says to him, a friendly smile on her face. Sighing, she starts walking back to the auditorium and wonders how Arya is doing. Once she enters the auditorium, she smiles, actually happy to be back in a room with all the other halfbloods. *Maybe Dad was right about bringing me here.* she wonders, looking over to where the Tiger halfblood was sat and starts walking over to her. She notices a man stood at the podium as he starts talking, and she listens to him as she walks back to the girl. She hears her teacher's name and follows the man's gaze to a man talking to Kaileh. She exhales, hoping that he has luck in controlling her inner animal. Then she hears her room mates and looks around, happy that she's sharing a room with someone she actually knows. She reaches the table where she was sat before and smiles at Arya. "Hello again, Arya." she says, wondering what to do now.

Kaileh looked up when Mr. Gemdi tapped the microphone. She waved to everyone when her name was mentioned. She looked at all the students, seeing if they knew where to go.

Conner~Student~Male~Grizzly Bear
Conner looked up from Titan. The silence a bit too much. When he heard his name, and then Arn's his first thought was, This is going to suck, Conner never liked Arn much. He was too much of a rule breaker. He would tip Conner over, and make him turn on purpose, getting him in trouble.

Titan slowly got to his feet and made his way over to his new teacher. He wasn't sure who his roommate was, but he didn't care that much. He liked just about everyone so he was happy with whatever.

Harley - Female - Student - Skunk
Harley couldn't help but be happy. Everyone she had talked to so far was liking her animal. She couldn't have asked for a better day. As she walked over to her teacher, she looked around at the other students. She looked for Arn, and she finally spotted him. She sighed inwardly. He liked to cause trouble, and she often got teased about her animal by him.

Caiden - Male - Teacher - Lion
Waving as he was introduced, Caiden walked toward the auditorium door, hoping his new students would find him and follow. He only had a couple students, but he liked it that way. It was easier to make sure each student got enough help with whatever they needed.

She glanced up as Scarlett comes back, settling beside her. "i'm sorry i was so distant earlier. How did it go?" She asked, her voice surprsingly soft. She couldn't see any bruises or scartch-marks on Scarlett; it seemed she wasn't harmed.

Conner looked away from Arn. He didn't need this. Conner made his way over to his teacher, Caiden. He'd sen him a few times. He saw Caiden and Sid and Kaileh hanging out a lot. You'd think they were born in the same house. "Yo, Caid," He said to his teacher.

Kaileh waited for all of her students to get to her. She said "Hello! My name is Kaileh." She gave them a smile. "I'll be showing you to my class room, though we will be outside most of the time, and then to your dorms. Follow me," She said. She turned around and opened the doors. She walked into the hallway. She looked over at Caiden and mouthed "Good luck," To him and Sid.

Noticing a man stepping up to the podium, she looked up, completely focused. She didn't want to miss something important. She raised an eyebrow when he said she was a Pro, a small smile stretching onto her lips. Hearing that Harley was an expert, she mouthed the word 'congrats' to her before returning her gaze to the man speaking. She crossed her fingers as he read out the rooms, her eyes widening with surprise when he said she was with Harley, and she turned to her when the man was done speaking. "Oh, thank god I'm with you. I was afraid I'd get put in a room with a complete stranger." She said in a relieved tone, smiling at Harley. "See you at the room." She said happily before walking off towards the man that she guessed was Caiden York, since Mr. Gemdi said that their teachers would lead them to their rooms. "Hello, Mr. York. I'm Valentina Silvers." She greeted in a polite tone.

Scarlett smiles and listens to her voice. "It's fine. It went alright, I guess. Although, I don't think my inner animal liked being locked in a room." she chuckles to herself, looking over to Sid, their teacher. "Hey, we're room mates!" Scarlett says, excitedly as her grin widens, wondering who Nikki is. "Uhh... We should go over to our teacher, right?" she questions, returning her gaze back to their new teacher.
