Sign-Ups OOC Thread Art Thread Poll Thread --- Hello. Welcome to the town of Yorkville, Massachusetts. Doesn't look like much, does it? Didn't think so. No one really ever thinks that, and I don't blame them. But what they don't know is the history behind this place, and what amazing things can happen. LAWS OF THE COUNCIL 1. All characters must live in peace with the humans. 2. No fighting is allowed between characters unless otherwise stated. 3. Your existence must be kept a secret. Don't tell everyone who you are. 4. If a member of The Council approaches you, do not panic. 5. If these rules are broken too many times, the offender(s) will be forcefully returned to the pocket dimension. 6. Any characters who do not resemble a human must request an item to hide them before setting out to the new world. SETTING Yorkville, Massachusetts is a coastal town with a port out to sea. A hug wooden "ark" can be seen at dock all the time, though no one knows where it came from. There is an apartment building in the Northern part of the town and houses off to the West. East heads off to sea while South has a heavily forested area. In town there are many attractions for the residents. There is a local coffee shop, perfect for meeting up with friends. A movie rental place allows for some leisure when at home. A general store is in the center of town, not far off from the apartments. A comic book store often has teenagers outside, buying comic books and partaking in tournaments in various card games and video games. A pawn shop is right next to the ocean. There are benches near the dock, which gives an amazing view of the ocean. POST FORM: Name || Age || Universe (Show, Game, Ect.) Location || Mentions RECENT EVENTS: Something is wrong. Sure, everyone is living in peace and all, but... That doesn't change this feeling of dread among the characters. Some humans with a connection like a Writer or Seer can feel it. They can sense it coming off of the characters like waves, and are sometimes drawn to them. Rumors of W among the characters are spreading, and the person could appear any day now.... As of now, W has been discovered after she revealed herself to a group of characters. Soon, news of we discovery will spread to most characters in Yorkville. --- Day of the week: Sunday Weather: Windy and chilly. Season: Fall. The leaves are just starting to turn, and a few are already falling. Feeling in the air: No one really knows what this is. Character SheetsNo thread generated. She looked from one to the other and something tugged in her brain, but she couldn't put a finger on it. "Listen... I'd better get going, kay? Sorry... Nice meeting you." She tried to fill in the older man's name at the end, but had already forgotten it- if he'd mentioned it. She sidestepped them and began walking past, clutching the laptop against her torso. Definitely going in the blog. And in her book. And maybe the security office at the apartment building. Macavity || 27 || Cats (The Musical) Any street || Connor Macavity stopped and drew his cigarette away from his mouth. Who'd said that? He'd certainly heard something. His acute ears had made sure of it. He looked around casually, but didn't see anyone looking for him. "Stupid town," he muttered. Suddenly, he noticed a cat up the nearest tree. His fingers played with his ring again. Wait- was that cat, blue? Huh, he almost looked like Munkustrap. But no, in this universe cats couldn't be blue. He must just be homesick- if possible. "Mangle, I knew you were one of them! Next time, please, just wait until you and the other person are in a private place. I don't want anyone being taken away, alright??" His tone had become serious, and he sighed. "We can still catch a cup of coffee if you like. After you put the necklace back on, naturally." This was going fan-freaking-tastic. This is why he never really got out much, you know? Instantly, he felt that feeling again... Was he going insane? He hardly knew. But... What if that girl was one of The Writers? The Seers? She then put the necklace onto her neck and transformed into a human once again. "Sorry about that slipup... I need to be better at lying, I guess." she sighed. "So, you want to get that coffee as planned?" she then asked, hoping to change the subject. Like she said, she needed to get better at lying. Connor//House//Male//9//Street, in a tree//Mentions: Mcavity//In cat form Was he suspected? Maybe Macavity thought he was grey. really deep grey, maybe maltese, when in reality, he was blue. He felt like he really needed to switch back into human form, but felt it would be weird that a child sitting in a tree in the exact same spot as the cat. And so he jumped down from the tree, about to switch. He was relieved that Macavity walked away, so he stopped himself. "Phe-" he started letting a sigh of relief, then again, covered his mouth with his paws. He quickly took them away as to make it not look suspicious. two slipups in a day, what were the odds? He wondered if Macavity had noticed the blue watch on one of his front cat legs. Maybe it just blended in with the fur, though Connor himself could easily see it. I could always go for a cup." With that, he started off again, thinking. It had been a while since The Council recalled someone from slipping up. It was a good thing, don't get him wrong, but it just made him more uneasy... What if they were waiting for the next person to slip up?? Would it be someone he knew? Maybe it would actually be him?? Chill, Ford, it'll be alright. It's a good sign, people are learning. Every once and a while people will slip up, but... ... Maybe I said the wrong thing to Jackie. As soon and she started getting somewhat out of earshot of the pair, she pulled out her laptop. Resting it on her left arm, she began typing single-handedly with her right. She didn't want to miss a single detail from that. Okay... Let's see. His hair was grey, but not the sickly falling-apart grey of a rabbit, she recorded. Mental notes. Mental notes. More like the sterling grey of silver. A grey that promised richness and some sort of power behind it. A kingly grey-silver, more valuable than any gold. Jumping down from the tree again, he switched back into his human form, for during the day. "It's been fun being a cat, but I can't take anymore slipups, not today." he muttered to himself. He didn't even know what time it was, maybe it was soon going to be night, and he would need to switch into night form. Which he didn't have a problem with, he would just want to perhaps have someone to talk to before then. Mangle//Apartment 5B//21//Coffee shop//Mentions: Standford Pines//Human form Mangle walked to the coffee shop with Ford, finally at the destination she had planned to go to. Getting up to the counter, she ordered one cup of coffee. "I'll find a little table for us." she offered to Ford, and looked for a table to sit at. Not long after, they deliver him his coffee, and he thanked them before looking at Mangle. "Just saying, that was a risky move back there." He spoke in a low voice. "Even in... Suddenly, her path was blocked by a boy and she stumbled into him. "Oh, sorry!" She said, first catching her laptop before turning to him. "My fault, wasn't looking where I was going. Sorry!" She said again, getting her laptop all sorted out. Finally, she looked at the boy. Something drew her to him a little bit, but she couldn't tell what. It was just like the pair from before... He checked the time on his other watch that wasn't cat-shaped. 4:30 PM. Strange, must've been a while sitting up in that tree. But it shouldn't have been getting dark so early, it wasn't winter yet. Maybe it was just cloudy. That must've been it. Why was he outside in the first place at the time? He made his way back home. Entertained him. He didn't know why. However, he finally sighed when she spoke up again about someone, a person named "W". "W... Is a strange case. No one knows if W exists or not, if W is their real name, or anything about them, other than the fact that they are part of The Council." He paused, thinking. "If W exists, then that means we're almost always being watched. To make sure we're following the rules. It's said they have... connections to others, to make their job easier." This was gold, and she had to edit this event to make it perfect. Make the reader just as confused and surprised as she had been. She clicked and typed and deleted, all the while her mind turning over how the girl had known her. Overheard her name in conversation, isn't that what the man had said? Something like that. She was video chatting with her old friends. How she missed the Crystal Gems, but she was happy they were doing well. Garnet was considering visiting them sometime if it were possible. Work was literally nothing, because she was entirely winging the whole thing, but it all just worked out somehow. She had the day off and usual, she'd go to the coffee shop. She only hoped her fans wouldn't make a big deal. Normally she'd keep her cool and ignore them. As she was walking, she saw a kid jump from a tree. Interesting. She approached the kid, looking down at him with her normal flat expression. She lifted him up, like she should with her dear little Steven, and brought him to her eye level. "Careful, child. Don't want to break anything." She said with her calm voice. She then set him down and continued walking, going about her business as usual. As soon as she arrived at the coffee shop, she did notice some humans look at her like the recognized her. Instead of acknowledging them, she ordered her coffee. "Java Chip. Please. Extra espresso." She said. As soon as her order was ready, she took the cold coffee and drank it quickly, almost too fast. As soon as she was done, she crushed the cup with her hand and threw it in the trash can. He had brought his sketch pad with him for some reason. When he was bored, he often brought his sketch pad and just sat in the coffee shop just drawing. Even if he couldn't drink the coffee, its' scent was calming and even helped him concentrate. Walking into the coffee shop, he sat in one of the chairs alone and sketched a cat, as he often did. Recalling the conversation form just a few minutes ago, he thought to himself, "Yep, I'm an expert climber. Almost all cats are, and I myself can be cat." And it was true.
