"I'm surprised at how fathers treat their children here. My father simply taught me how to use a bow and sent me on my way." He chuckled, although the thought made him sad. He looked up at her and gave her a smile, staring down at the dachshund as Winter got ready to let her off leash. Unfortunately for Legolas, he busted out laughing the moment the tiny dog began to run and doubled over, laughing too hard to run. He finally managed to run after the dog, catching up to her around halfway up the stairs. He was still laughing, however, and that wasn't doing much good for him, and he finally just hung back at the top of the stairs so he could stop laughing. That one move sent the dog flying past him and with that, she won the race, with Legolas still laughing at the way she ran. He couldn't really care less what Winter thought about him losing, as he was too busy laughing.

Smaug chuckled a little at Steven's exclamation about cameras in the bathroom and nodded slightly, thinking for a moment. He looked over to see Steven's wishful look as he headed towards the door, talking about flying. Smaug followed him nonchalantly, figuring that Steven knew the lay out of the building better than Smaug did.

"Don't step over your bounds, kid. Flying is a much more difficult matter than it would seem. It all pertains to the strength of the dragon." He stated, moving in front of him and waking backwards for a moment, smirking before allowing Steven to take the lead again. "We must make sure we don't get caught." He mentioned rather lightly. "I fear that both of us will get in a rather large amount of trouble."

(Yay, I have returned! I have had major writer's block, and my internet was spotty at my campground at best, so I hope this was a good post! My internet almost forced me out of lioden, so had to retype this.)

"Oh right. Forgive me for assuming." Garnet said.

She cleared her throat, getting ready to explain her kind. Honestly, this was quite flattering in a good way. She never thought she'd like talking about herself so much.

"In that particular universe, there exists an alien race called "Gems". They're basically rocks. Magical rocks with the ability to take on a human-like form known as a physical form. The gems on their bodies project that form kind of like a hologram, but with actual mass." She said. "They can summon weapons with their gems, shapeshift, and even stretch their limbs for a limited amount of time."

She wondered if she could explain Homeworld to her. Homeworld was something she despised by now. It was hardly worth mentioning, but for research purposes, sure.

"The gems invaded Earth, but a gem known as Rose Quartz turned on her own kind after seeing the harm they caused to the planet. The rebels were known as the Crystal Gems. In the end, the rebels won, but with only a handful survivors."

Thinking about that was always sad, but that was alright. It was history now. But next came her favorite topic. Fusion.

"Gems can fuse together into a stronger form. Two or more gems can do this. To fuse, you must be in sync with your partner, trusting them with the magic your gem possesses. The end will result in an entirely new being. Fusions are not two people, but they are not one person. They are an experience. I am an experience. It does feel good to be what I am. As sappy as it sounds, love binds me together."

Steven listened intently as Smaug spoke. He was right, they didn't want to get caught. The consequences would be horribly dire. There had to be some place they wouldn't get in trouble.

He led Smaug to the elevator and down to the first floor, stepping outside and looking up at the sky. Being up there would be so amazing.

He walked forward slowly, thinking of a place where he they could fly.

"There's the ocean. The forest beside it could hide us. And I suppose if we go far out enough over the ocean, no one would really see. Hmm... I can create magical bubbles. Maybe if we walk into the ocean and come out at a deeper end.
I don't know, got any ideas? What do you think?" He asked.

Steven would be able to pull off going into the ocean. He had been stuck down there before. Of course back then he didn't have a good grasp on his powers, but now he did. Keeping a bubble up wouldn't be hard at all.
They'd just have to walk in it like a hamster ball.

Winter stood patiently at the top of the stairs, waiting for Arya and Legolas. She could hear some laughing, and she chuckled. She couldn't really blame Legolas for finding Arya funny, she did look quite strange when she was running up the stairs. Finally spotting the two, she cheered Arya on, kneeling down and holding her arms out to the dachshund. Arya won and leaped into her arms, panting and wagging her tail. "Another victory for Queen Arya!" She said with a laugh, standing up and walking over to Legolas, still holding the small dog in her arms. She knew that Arya had probably won because Legolas was too busy laughing at her to run, but she didn't really care. "I told you that you'd lose." She teased him smugly. Seeing how much he was laughing, she rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on. It's not that funny." She couldn't help but smile at how amusing he found Arya. She placed the dog back on the ground and clipped her leash back onto her collar. "You done laughing? Arya needs her treats...and some water."

Legolas looked up to see Winter there, holding Arya, who had run into her arms. He sighed and straightened slightly, wiping his hands on his jeans in an absentminded manner. He tended to have a habit of doing so, even when he didn't really need to. He smirked as she labeled her dog as a Queen, and bit back a rude, jeering comment. "I wouldn't have lost of your little dog wasn't so stumpy." He chuckled good-naturedly, rubbing the little dog's ear. He looked up and laughed again as she chastised him for laughing, and rolled his eyes. "From my perspective, yes, it was rather hilarious." He started to walk off towards her apartment, looking behind him to see if she was following, and started to speak again. "I believe that pool party is tonight, isn't it? I may be wrong."

Smaug nodded lightly and followed the kid out, snorting smoke from his nose slightly as the warm air brought the smell of salt from the ocean. He stared up, seeing some geese, and smirked at the thought of when he used to roast and eat the creatures. He was rather immersed in his thoughts when Steven began to speak, and only managed to acknowledge the last bit of his words. He looked rather confused when he mentioned magic bubbles, but shrugged it off. That was yet another thing he didn't understand about this world.

"I suppose we could cross the ocean, as it would be our best bet. We must make sure we do not alert any fishing boats, however, as that would give us away. We would have to stay by the cliffs to the east." He stated, pointing in that general direction to reveal wisps of fog covering cliffs in the distance. "That is one of the only places we can get close to the ground without being seen, as I doubt any rational human would bother going up those cliffs. They are infested with annoying birds. Not to mention they don't taste good." He explained, snorting at the thought of the nasty birds.

D ignored the comment about their abbreviated names and shut the small dark flip phone. "Right. I'll remember that next time," he told the deserted ark. Wow, how did W manage to survive doing all of her work locked up in this dungeon? With a quick glance around, D took in the room again. The ark wasn't decorated much, and parts of it were dusty. Odd.... but his attention was drawn back to the screens again. W's baggy eyes made sense - the light from the screens was magnetic in the darkness. It was difficult to look away, like when watching television. D shuddered at the thought of ending up looking like W had, but then reminded himself he could go out sometime once she was awake.

Jackie took another few seconds. "Ok... .so... Let me just make sure I've got this right," she said. "You're a combination of two entities who fused together because they trust each other greatly. You're not a person, because you're a combination, but you're rather a temporary state that your two entities live in? Or... let me know if I've got that wrong..." Her cookie and coffee forgotten, Jackie's eyes wandered off to the side of the room as her brain wrapped itself around it. She was starting to get it, or so she believed, but for whatever reason it sounded familiar. Yet, she couldn't put her finger on where the concept had been described before. As she spoke, one hand slithered over to the laptop to type a few more reference notes about the Gems. Holographic objects that can support force, earth invaded, Rose Quartz, fusion... that seemed about right.

Garnet nodded. That was about right. "Yes. And it is Ruby and Sapphire's love that ables them to stay fused for so long." She said.

She rarely came apart. If she did it was because something was causing Ruby and Sapphire to conflict with each other.

Only today did the two almost come apart over that announcement at the Ark earlier, which was the reason Garnet set out to help. The only way would to approach the Council directly again.

She could see it happening. As to how... Standford.

It sounded like a good plan to him. He just hoped Smaug wouldn't mind being in the ocean for a moment.

"I think that works, so long as you don't mind walking into the ocean in a bubble." He chuckled.

He would make the bubble as soon as they were hidden in the forest.
"Alright, just stand close to me and... There." He said.

His gem glowed and a rose shaped formed above them and rounded itself into a protective bubble around the two.

"All we gotta do is walk now. This bubble will protect us from, well, drowning and sharks. Though sharks wouldn't stand a chance against the might Smaug and Steven." He said with an empowered voice.

"You might have lost, but at least you actually ran to the end. I would have given up halfway through." Winter admitted with a smile. She was fast over short distances, but if Winter had to run for a long amount of time she'd become tired very quickly. That was mainly because she had a bad habit of using all her energy at the start of the run. "Well, now I get to say that my dog beat a unicorn in a race." She said smugly, walking over to her apartment. She unlocked the door, and Arya ran over to her water bowl, immediately starting to lap up the water. "Would you like some water?" She asked Legolas, turning her head to look at him. While she was waiting for his answer, she grabbed Arya's dog treats from a shelf in the kitchen. She had promised the dog that she'd get treats if she won. Upon seeing the dog treats, Arya raised her head from her water bowl and waddled over to her, her tail wagging furiously. Winter took a treat out of the bag and sat down on the ground, so that she was at Arya's level. "High five." She said to her, holding her hand out to the small dog. Arya raised one of her stumpy legs and placed her paw on Winter's hand. "Good girl!" She said, scratching Arya behind the ear before giving her a treat and standing up. "I think the party is tomorrow." She responded to Legolas' question.

Mangle decided to go shopping at the general store, and so she headed out. When she finally came inside, she looked at the selection of goods. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a... skeleton? She couldn't help but come over to inquire about it. "Hello there. It certainly isn't Halloween yet... your costume does look very nice though." she said, tilting her head. She carefully eyed the crystal shard she was wearing on her neck, making sure it didn't slip like last time. After the confrontation with W, she didn't want to mess up again in front of others.

Ah, it didn't take long for W to wake up. It never did. She was used to having small bouts of sleep, usually about 30 minutes to an hour. She opened her eyes and yawned before realizing her location wasn't as it normally was. She was in a different part of the Ark, and her eyes widened as she jumped out of the room. Dang it, how did I get in there?? I need to go to-- Her thoughts as well as her body halted as she saw D still sitting at the desk before she sighed. Yes, W was still tired, but not as much as she had been.

The skeleton and the older person with him had started in line. Deciding it was time to move, he stepped into the store and pretended to look at some items. None of the skeleton's actual bones were showing (minus the skull) thanks to what he was wearing, thank goodness, but it didn't help the fact that he was breaking one of the most important rules. Before he could try and strike up a conversation, however, Mangle had appeared and started to talk to the other. Oh no.

Of course, others had noticed. Just his luck.

Maxie pretended to dismiss Mangle as she approached, allowing her to chat with the skeleton as he caught sight of another man. Yes, he was older than Maxie, but the suspicion rose up that this guy could be with... ".. Hey, maybe we shouldn't be here." Maxie spoke lowly in Sans' direction. "I think they know you're here already."

Groaning, Chara stood, glancing side to side. No one was here? Good. No one saw, then, this kid carving into the ground again. They stepped out, going back into the coffee shop. They sat in a booth, discreetly taking their notebook out and scribbled letters that were hard to read. After all, a child has a hard time writing, do they not?

Pittoo refused to wear a device. It was plain as day that it was true, but not to the naked eye. He had wings, yes, that were black, but didn't allow him to fly. He instead wore a sweatshirt, a grey one, wings folded behind him at all times. It was hard to see the lumps on his back that way, hidden under his clothing. Sometimes, a feather fell out, but he would pretend not to notice.

The angel took a drink of his coffee. How many days had it been? Word had already reached him, if only a bit, of what happened with The Council. At this point, even that innocent-looking child in the booth there seemed suspicious.

This was going to be a long week.

Connor then came out of the coffee shop in his suit form. He then saw Chara in the alle, hen going back into the shop. And so, he went back in as well. Walking over to her, he simply said, "Hey. Remember me?" He hoped that she'd recognize his voice from yesterday. After all, he hadn't changed that much, only in appearance, and name, for those who called him Catboy in this form. Though that wasn't often, as he preferred his usual name. He then glanced at the writing in the notebook. "So... whatcha doing?" he asked curiously.

He looked at Mangle when she spoke to him, inwardly groaning and thinking to himself 'Is it really that hard to get a decent bottle of ketchup without anyone mentioning the way I look?' when she mentioned his 'costume'. He replied, though, hiding his slight unease. "Heh. Thanks. As for why I'm wearing this, I guess you could say I just really like skeletons." He then looked at Maxie, nodding and replying lowly "That might be true, but I'm not gonna miss out on a ketchup opportunity."

"No problem. And well, it sure does look very realistic. Did you make it yourself? if so, you did a pretty awesome job. I could never make something as good as that." Mangle replied, smiling. "I have a cool animatronic costume, though yours is better. I left my 'costume' at home though. If you want to see it, just come to my apartment. It's Apartment 4B." she added in, emphasizing the word "costume" as if it was more than it seemed. Which technically, it was. She then laughed at the joke, then said, "Well it seems you're good at puns as well as costume-making. Well, enjoy your ketchup then. And I'm going to restock on breath mints and robot parts. I need the parts for my... costume." She then went to the aisle that sold various construction items, such as nuts, bolts, cloth, and other things. She left out the part that her robot form was falling apart, as to why she needed the crafting items. The jaw was coming loose and one ear had fallen off. Looking through the selection, she chose two nuts, two bolts, a screwdriver, some wires, a metal rod, and some superglue if needed.

Mangle had walked away. Fantastic. Once she did, Stanford approached the two others at last, glancing them over for a moment. "... Hello." He stated. I can see why that guy wanted me to check this out, but W was never this strict... However, thinking back to how W looked in the first place, it was no wonder that she didn't worry about something like this. The other person must've been a new addition, fresh blood. "May I talk to you two for a moment?"

... Oh no. Yep, they were completely dead. Maxie turned and looked at the other person, trying not to look too nervous. Then again, he was the Great Maxie! Why WOULD he be nervous?

I guess I can now relate to all of that fuss about that one guy running for president. Being deported and being unable to come back.

Politics didn't make a lot of sense. At least, before now. "A-Ah, sure, sir. We'd be happy to come along with you." He seemed to lean on the word 'happy'. Leaned on it so much that it should've been obvious to Sans that the message was 'you got me into this mess, you're going to get me out.'

Well Chara's still in the Coffee Shop so I guess we can work this o ut .

The child paused for a moment, looking up from their drawings and at the other youngling. That creepy smile was still pasted on their face, as always. Some things never change, you know? But they simply looked back down at the notebook and began drawing again. It took a couple of minutes for Chara to respond.

"Oh, just the inevitable... It's going to happen one day, everyone knows that..."
