Human appearance: Jimmy is tall and thin with sickly pale skin and bright blue eyes settled into dark, sunken sockets. He has a mop of greasy, shoulder-length brown hair that covers his larger-than-average ears. The rags he wears - long-sleeves hiding bruises and scarring; tattered trousers sewn at the knees, tucked into the mouths of his muddied boots - hang onto him loosely, hiding the malnourished body beneath them. As he stands, he slouches slightly - curtain of hair blocking most of his face, concealing his wide, darting eyes - making him appear a touch shorter than he is. His arms he tucks into himself with elbows at his sides and fingers always at each other, out-of-habit pulling at the sore skin around the uneven nails.

Werewolf appearance: The wolf is covered with fur that matches the hair of its human counterpart: greasy, messy, and dirt brown. The only place any different would be the ridge of its back. Interrupting the flow of fur, long and thin scars trail down the middle of the back, barely grazing the spine; a bite impression rests just above the right hip. When transforming, the whites of Jimmy's eyes turn black, and the blue melts away into a bright yellow. The pointed ears - larger than they should be - are almost always on a constant swivel, listening intently for the sounds of the beast's next meal.

Personality: James is not a lover or a fighter. He's a coward - a runner. He rarely is in contact with other people as he lives outside of the village, hanging around the edge, leeching off discarded trash or scraps, stealing kills from hunters' traps. (unintentional rhyming, haha) He forages in the woods, throwing stones at birds and small rodents, all-the-while muttering to himself about nothing in particular. He can go days without eating much, and yet, somehow, he always has enough energy to get away with theft.

History (how they were changed): Having been alone for so long and not in his right mind, James himself can't recall much of his former life before being infected. He can recall, however, most of what actually happened leading up to, during, and after the attack.

He was young, healthier, and happier, surrounded by friends and family. His sister - his twin and very best friend - grew terribly ill and had to move away with their mother. Where to, James could not remember. He was with their father - he couldn't remember what the man did for work, but it kept them there. Without his sister's constant company and his mother's affection, James grew reckless and started bullying his friends, pushing them and everyone else away.

There was a fight between him and his father, and James - in a fit of rage and emotion - ran away, running blindly into the pitch black woods, screaming, vowing to find his sister again. His father gave chase, fearing the worst. There was relatively new talk that a monster lived in those woods. Eventually he found his son and the spat continued. Until they were interrupted by a beast, snarling with glowing eyes. It was wounded, pierced in the side with an arrow.

James gave his father a rough shove into the direction of the monster, hoping his sacrifice would please it, and made to run away. The wolf - mouth twisting into an ugly grin at the sight of a chase - was too fast and dove into his back, clawing him, and biting into his hip. His father charged the animal, beating it over the head with a dry tree limb; the animal turned on him then, tearing him apart as James made his escape. His father perished.

Eventually, James was picked up by a small group of hunters that were following the bloody trail of their wounded prey. He was treated in the village, recovered surprisingly quickly, and ran away again sometime there after. Talk of the attack and what repercussions it could have on him - whether he live or be put to death - spread, prompting his disappearance. For years, he moved from place to place, until settling at last in another village.

Sexuality: To be determined.

Strengths: In both forms, he's quick and light on his feet and has a strong sense of hearing and smell.

Weaknesses: He's weaker than most people his size and tends to avoid any sort of physical confrontation. He cannot swim. Uneducated and socially inept, he doesn't know if he's capable of forming any kind of relationships.

Appearance: Ellen is of average height and a healthy weight - if just a few pounds over. Her lightly tanned skin is speckled with faded freckles; two beauty marks rest above her right eyebrow, and a third on her chin. Her eyes are as bright a blue as her brother's and her thick hair - pulled into a loose, messy braid - is a soft brown, lightened by the sun. Her ears - just like her twin brother's - are larger than average, popping out beneath her wild strands of hair untamed by the braid.

While not as lady-like as her mother would have hoped, Ellen does occasionally don a dress for special occasions or when she is feeling particularly pretty at times; more often than not, however, she is more prone to wear "masculine"-deemed clothing - trousers or lace-up shirts beneath a bland tunic and thick boots - especially when she is out riding or fishing.

Personality: Ellen can be overly-friendly at times when she forgets to be wary around strangers. She loves to travel and has difficulty sitting still or staying in one place for very long. When she builds bonds and friendships with people, she means to be true and loyal and will do everything to keep it so. While she doesn't have much, she is more than willing to give what she can to anyone who may be in need.

Job: Unemployed. Traveler. Small-game hunter / fisher. She sells her catches for coin or trades them for materiels.

Family: Father (deceased); Mother (remarried, living elsewhere); Brother (location unknown to her)

Relationships/Crush: To be determined. (as a note: Ellen is unable to produce children)

History: When they were young, Ellen and Jimmy did everything together and were rarely apart. One beautiful day, while they were playing together near the forest, Ellen complained of feeling dizzy. Shortly after, she collapsed; she had come down with a severe fever and horrible stomach pain.
Their mother was convinced that a monster - a demon, perhaps - had cursed her beloved child and - against the advice of a local medicine man - stole her daughter away and fled North - or East - Ellen can never remember which. She slipped into a deep sleep then, waking weeks later, feeling like death.

She never knew what had caused the illness, but she regained her strength and health, volunteering for odd jobs and work for the rich around the village. After years of saving, she left her mother (happily remarried, she was) and decided to return to her old home. When Ellen learned of her father's death and brother's disappearance, she vowed then to find him again some day.

Other: I've seen bits and pieces of the Underworld Series and I've seen (2010's) The Wolfman.
