September Event: Recuperation

Mistela's black fur was flying everywhere along with the other cats grey and orange fluff. Mistela ran from the two cats past an open clearing, yowling as the orange tom reached out with a claw and nicked her tail. She smelled other cats nearby, but they didn't smell like the ones she was fighting. She tried not to let it distract her from fending off these two toms.

She chuckles along, though it was more like an echo of the tom's, the tip of her tail twitching as FrogPaw's eyes swept over the camp. Sniffing, the small apprentice opens her mouth to continue the conversation when a breeze hits her at just the right angle, carrying a scent both familiar and foreign. Pausing to turn her head into the breeze, she comes up with a slightly disjointed query, "Is anyone meant to be coming back from patrol at the moment ?"

Sagepaw happily trots over to the pair of cats.
"Good morning!"

Darkstar

Darkstar smiles at the two apprentices. He looks out at the camp entrance, longing to see someone.
He shakes it off, standing up.
"So, what are we going to do today?"
Darkstar twitches his tail. "I'm thinking hunting. How does that sound?"
He purrs, watching the young ones.

The two rogues chased Mistela around the clearing, and back her up against a rock, finally allowing a break in the fighting.
"Finally come to finish me off? Or are you too tired to continue this pointless fight?" She laughed as the cats scowled.
"It isn't pointless," the grey tom snarled. "You stole something of ours. That was a mistake."
"Welll, technically it wasn't yours? So I didn't steal anything." She looked at them with a gleam in her eyes, and the orange tom hissed.
"One of these days that mouth of yours is going to get you killed, cat."
"What can I say, I live dangerously."

Darkstar

Darkstar's ears pricked. He heard noises nearby.
"Sagepaw, Frogpaw, go inside. I'm going to check the entrance."
He goes outside the camp, looking around each way. He heard voices and smelled rogues.
Darkstar growled lowly. "Not on my territory."
He runs towards the noises, angry yet curious to find out who wanted to mess with his day.

The orange tom launched himself onto Mistela, causing her to bang into the rock. Her black claws quickly dug into his orange fur, and they tumbled forward against a tree. The grey tom jumped in when he heard a deep yowl from the orange cat as Mistela bit down hard on his ear.

Darkstar

Darkstar came upon cats fighting, and stayed in the bushes. He noticed that 2 rogues were attacking a female cat, but she smelled different. He decided to intervene.
He jumps on the second cat, raking his claws on him. "You're on my territory, you pay for it!"
Darkstar swipes at the cat, and it ends up running into the undergrowth. He turns back to see the female and the other rogue still struggling.

She smells another cat approach, and immediatly thinks, Great. Another rogue coming to kill her. But then the scent fully registers and it smells different than rogue. The grey tom is chased away by the newcomer, and she finally manages to get her jaws around the fur on the back of the orange rogues neck. She bites until he yowls, and runs into the undergrowth after his partner. She sits down on the torn ground, breathing heavily. Her eyes go toward the cat that had helped her.

Darkstar cocks his head at the cat trying to catch her breath. "Um, are you okay?"

As her breathing becomes normal, she nods her head, a shimmer still in her eyes from the excitement.
"Sure, I am great. Chicken in my stomach, I am actually full! I am a little battered, but at least it was an exciting fight." Mistela looks around at the forest. "I haven't been over here before. Those cats chased me all the way from the storefront!"

Darkstar cocks his head. "You aren't from around here?"
He looks her over. "Where are you from? Why are you on Clan territory?"
Sitting down, Darkstar doesn't take his eyes off her.

Confusion plasters itself on Mistela's face.
"Clan territory? I haven't heard of clans before. I live in town. Across the road and on the other side of the forest. Those cats and I had a small, disagreement." She laughs. "I'm Mistela. Some call me Tes, if they ever get close enough."

Darkstar smiles. "Oh, across the Thunderpath!"
He purrs. "It's nice to meet you. If you need a place to stay for the night, you may stay at my camp."

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stay. I have nowhere else to be." She got up, her black fur ruffled from the fight. "Excuse the sight of tmy fur. I look like a badger!" She brushed down her fur with her tongue quickly, and then asked,"Shall we be on our way?"
