"Yes, we're pretty much right next to it." Darkstar walks around the clumped pine trees, entering the camp.
"It's not the much right now, but we're working on it."
He smiles nervously.

"Oh! I didn't realize how close we were!" She quickly matches pace with the cat, and she realized she still didn't know his name. "How many cats live here, ..." Mistela let her word drag on, hoping he would tell her his name. Her eyes scanned the camp.

"There's around ten of us in this camp, but there's actually four clans. Thunderclan, Shadowclan, Riverclan, and Windclan. We all live by something called the Warrior code, and try to live together in peace."
Darkstar fakes a smile. "It's just the rogues have been wanting to break the peace lately. Something bad might happen soon. I can feel it."
He looks at her. "Um, sorry. I'll show you around."

She senses anxiety in the cat.
"Alright. What are the other clans like? And where do they live?" She was curious as to all these clans. She was surprised she had never heard of them. She could see a few cats looking out from some dens uneasily.

Sagepaw's fur was still a bit fluffed from listening to the fight. ears now perked, intently watching the newcomer.

Bumping against SagePaw, FrogPaw splits him a lopsided grin as DarkStar and the newcomer push through the entrance of the camp. The low sounds of the recent fight had set her pumping with adrenaline and the fur over her hackles had risen by a noticeable amount. Whiskers twitching with interest, she mewls to the younger cat, "What d'you think happened out there ? Suppose we have a new prison on our paws ? Or maybe a refugee. What if the other clans are tearing each other apart ! I don't think I'd be able to take on one of those slippery River Clan cats." She continues to ramble on to herself, her tail thumping against the ground.

Darkstar smiled. "Every clan has a different destiny, different leaders. We have deputies, medicine cats, apprentices and warriors. Everything to make a clan stable. It's just our clan is low on warriors lately after the breakout of whitecough. It's gone now though, I can promise you that."
Darkstar sees the apprentices peaking out of places, and beckons them out.
"I'm Darkstar, by the way. Leader of Shadowclan."

Darkstar, what a strange name. Her mind was wrapping itself around the idea of clans. It must be good to have cats around you can trust. Mistela watched as he beckoned the other cats to come out.
"I take it newcomers don't appear often?" She whispered so only Darkstar could hear her. She could tell by the looks on their faces they were nervous about her appearance in the camp.

"I'm not going to lie, we rarely get visitors." Darkstar chuckles.
He points to the empty den next to the apprentices den. "That's the warriors den. It's almost always empty, so you'll have plenty of room to yourself."
Looking back at her, he says, "Just please don't run off in the middle of the night, or steal our food and hit the road. We can discuss more tomorrow."
Darkstar looks over at the apprentices den, and the younglings were still standing there. "Frogpaw, Sagepaw, get out here!"

Sagepaw shrugged. "I dunno what they're from. They don't smell like any clan."

Bluepaw padded out to where Sagepaw stood.Bluepaw tucked in between Frogpaw and Sagepaw, fitting into the small space. "They smell different to me, although I haven't really left the clan so I wouldn't recognise any other clans,"

Darkstar remarks, "I've got so many little ones to deal with, there's more younglings than warriors anymore."
He looks over at the apprentice dens, seeing all the little faces poking out, and he snorts.

Bluepaw saw Darkstar laughing at her, and she walked out towards where he stood. She stumbled over her tiny paws and rolled to her leaders feet.

"Ah, we have a brave one. Good morning, Bluepaw." Darkstar smiles at the she cat.

"Good morning Darkstar. Will I get to start some training today? I've been waiting for moons," the tiny she-cat asked. She had been anxious to be an apprentice, even more after she was declared too small to become an apprenctice at 6 moons.
