"uh, Cream Soda, please." She answered, not touching her food yet, waiting for him to sit down and start eating, a habit taught to her as a child. May May followed after Krom, eating out of her own food bowl, her tail swishing happily.

Daniel had disappeared into the spare room and a few minutes later had come back into the kitchen with her cream soda and his bottle of water. He set her pop down next to her plate and had sat down in his seat. He picked up his cutlery and waited for to try it first, "you try it first and tell me what you think of it all together" he gave a small smile, he didn't exactly trust her very much but, he was trying to he nice.. the coldness never left him though. He just wanted to be a good host since they dragged her here... he thought about if she would want to sleep in the spare room, if she wanted to change before she went to bed she could probably wear his clothes if they fit..

"alright..." She murmured, taking a bite of the spaghetti, she smiled and continued to chew, "it tastes wonderful, thank you so much for cooking for me..." She thanked him before continuing to eat, feeling rather uncomfortable as she ate first.

He hadn't been looking at her because he thought it would make her uncomfortable.. so, he was looking at the pictures on the walls. He looked at his spaghetti as she spoke, "that's great and no problem.." He started to eat it and was half way done in about 10 minutes. He was hungry.. he was being polite when he ate after she started because usually the guy waits for the girl.. he wasn't so into dating so his tactics might have been a little outdated... oh well. He loved to cook and he would make desert after they both were done.

She relaxed when he began to eat, eating quietly, but quickly. She kept glancing around, still studying her surroundings. She was still in awe at the house, as she hadn't been in such a expensive home or at least one that wasn't run down in a while.

Daniel had finished eating quickly. He didn't mean to eat faster than her.. he was just used to eating very fast. He had always done it, it was a habit.. he wiped his mouth with his napkin just in case there was something stuck to his face. "That was good.. it has been a while since I had someone come over.." He admitted it, it was true.. Jason was the last person to come over before he moved away. Daniel called him sometimes and Jason called other times but, they were both mostly busy. It didn't bother him that he was alone because he always had Krom.. he never went searching for a girlfriend because he knew she would leave as soon as she knew.. but she didn't... it was interesting to him how she hadn't run anymore when she knew what he was... oh well.. it would probably set in soon.. he had to bring up the topic of where to sleep because he wasn't going to let her go back out there in the dark.. plus right now it was kind of cold outside.. "If you want, you can sleep in the spare room over there" he gestured towards the room he had went into to get the drinks, "the bed is already made.. I keep everything clean so you don't have to worry.." she would probably see the little doorway into the bathroom over there but, he was still uncomfortable with the thought that a girl he didn't know was using his shower.. Yea... not going to sit well with him.. he would use the shower upstairs soon to get cleaned up and change but, as uncomfortable the thought was.. he would use the one upstairs and she could use the one down here if she wanted to.. he would never have the intention to look plus, he didn't want to. She was pretty but, he wasn't that kind of guy.. "there is a shower in there if you'd like to take a shower.." He cleared his throat before continuing because he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable.. "You can borrow some of my clothes and I could wash them upstairs in the laundry room.." If she thought he was trying something, he wasn't.. "after I go have a shower upstairs how about I make us some desert?" He smiled though he felt stupid about telling her he was taking a shower..

(also, I have to say, The Judge by Twenty One pilots fits these two perfectly...xD or at least I think so xD.)
She glanced up, piping up, "erm, thank you, but..I can sleep in my own clothes..." She then looked down at the mention of him taking a shower but nodded at the desert part. She knew she wouldn't take a shower here, She had learned a while ago not to trust anyone, it was mentally printed in her brain.

Daniel went silent.. he picked up his plate and took it to the sink. He didn't look at her as he washed his dished, everything that he had used, "are you done with that?" He felt stupid talking like that.. they didn't know each other.. he never looked at her again, he just kept his eyes down, looking at the dishes he was washing and never brought his eyes up from them.. his family was very open and he didn't mean to talk like that.. she probably thought he was only going to be a creep.. just great..

She noticed his odd behavior and spoke, "I'm sorry if your embarrassed, it's just that I haven't been showed kindness like yours for a while..." She murmured, She then nodded at his question, picking up her plate to go put it in the sink. It is true, she's never been showed kindness even after prison, so she's rather untrusting of people.

Daniel just nodded, he felt stupid.. he finished up all the dishes, dried them and put them away. He put the towel he dried the dishes with over his shoulder, "I will be back.." He took his keys out and unlocked the door to go upstairs, he put the key in his pocket and opened the door. He walked up the set of stairs, forgetting to close the door behind him because he never did... he never had company.. he went into his room and got ready to shower.. the shower was on the other side and he had gotten a bigger towel, it was around his waist like he always did no matter what and walked to the shower. After a little bit, he dried off and got dressed in some track pants, leaving the shirt because he always liked having no shirt at this time of the night.. he went into the laundry room and threw his clothes along with the towel he had used for dishes and the one he used to dry off into it. There weren't enough clothes to start it so, he left it alone and had come back downstairs.

Ash nodded, leaving the living room, she heading into the living room, sitting on one of the couches. She called over her red furry companion who came running, leaping onto her lap. Ash smiled, stroking May May's red fur, relaxing until she heard Daniel coming down the stairs. She turned to look at him, her face going red at the sight of him shirtless.

Daniel went into the fridge to take out another bottle of water and walked into the living room without thinking twice about how he was dressed and sat on the other couch that Ash wasn't sitting on. He opened the water bottle and drank a little bit from it before he noticed her face was red. He looked at her, "are you OK?" He wondered why her face was red.. it was kind of weird to him because he wasn't used to having a girl around, he was either hanging out with Jason or being alone with Krom. Krom heard Daniel sit down and he came bolting in and jumping right on to the couch Daniel was on, almost landing right on him and Daniel hugs him.

"I..er, yes, I..I'm fine..." She looked down at May, not daring to look up again. Her face turned a bit redder at his question, did he not notice how he didn't have a shirt on?! She was having a mental break down as she continued to stroke may may, keeping her mind off of it.

Daniel looked at her as she answered, he shrugged as she looked down. Oh well.. he didn't understand what was wrong but, he didn't want to press the issue anyway. He kept one arm around Krom who was now sitting beside Daniel and he looked at the pictures that were beside him on the couch. He took sips of water every now and then as he looked at them. He stared at one picture for a very long time.. it was a picture of him in between his sister and father. He missed them a lot.. but, they wouldn't want him to be sad. So, he only smiled at the picture, Krom let out a little whimper and Daniel looked at him, "I'm OK buddy.." He kissed the top of Krom's head trying to show him he is ok.

Ash soon looked up, watching him interact with krom, smiling softly. She soon looked around at the pictures once more, staring at a photo of a younger Daniel.
