She listened intently as Umbra told them his bleak past, wincing at all the unfortunate parts. It was different from her own, more depressing in a way. She was so deep into his retelling that she almost didn't hear Jereth's ominous statement. She lifts her head and follows his eyes, blinking curiously.

Her own eyes widened to the size of saucers, the whites of her eyes nearly blending into her fur. The large canines were picking their way towards both their prey and them, though she supposed they were prey to them too. She slowly lowers into a cowering stance. She was not prepared for a fight, if it would come to that. She was too used to grabbing and running. A small, pathetic mew escaped her and her ears folded back. She looked to Jereth for guidance.

Yato listened carefully to the Jaguars tragic story. His heart went out to the newest member of their pride. The tiger had no idea what to say even after he was finished. But he did understand the pain of being born different. The whole reason he was abandoned as a cub was because of his pelt color. Although he was glad that he never witnessed such horrors, even if his mother had left him to die. "I only understand some of what you're going through. My mother abandoned me because I was born different. Ig it hadn't been for the rescuers..." The white tiger trailed off as he nudged Umbra gently to encourage him to keep moving. soon, they all fell into silence. Yato lifted his head high up into the air, smelling just how close they had come to the caribou herd. "We must be close," He purred excitedly looking at the mountains. That's when he spotted them. Wolves. The hunter looked around at his comrades, but it seemed like they had already noticed the wolves arrival. Yato noticed how Lilja cowered and felt his fur bristling. He wasn't angry at her, he was mad at these giant wolves who looked like they were going to attack when they reached the small group. "I won't let them hurt you," He whispered to the snow leopard stepping in front of her and unleashing his claws.

The serval shivered at her threat. Being stuck sorting herbs for all of the eternity did not sound appealing at all. He said nothing to Inari's news about their new pride member, he didn't feel the need to. "Hopefully. I'll be useless if I don't," The cat said listening closely to his mentor's teachings, doing his best to memorize what she was saying. "How long have you been in this pride?" He asked clawing the smooth cave surface. The younger tom had only just joined this pride not too long ago, and Inari was already settled in and comfy by then.

Inari thought for a moment, not knowing the exact time. “Quite a while, maybe a year?” She wasn’t even sure if this was anywhere near the truth, but she wasn’t sure what else to say. She hasn’t really thought of the time she’d spent there, just the cats she had met, or the ones who avoided her.

She stood up then, approaching Kazuma and nudging him up. “You can leave if you’d like, unless you want to study the herbs some more, ask questions if you need.” She went back to her experiment table, the mess of herbs and berries smashed against a rock, colors fading to the gray of the rocks as they grew old, the mistakes she had made growing old and replaced by new experiments, learning from each one.

Lilja smiled nervously and tucked herself against the white tiger, "Thanks, I appreciate not dying." With a shuddering breath, she lifted herself, unsteady. "What's our course of action? Rip their fur? Talk about the weather?" She asked sarcastically, though it wasn't directed to anyone in particular.
She looks back towards the wolves, baring her teeth jitterily. "They look like mini bears. Hehe, maybe they're as stupid? Jereth can we run? Like now? Please?" She urged, practically shaking in her fur. She didn't want to die. Not now, anyway.

He looked back at his group despite having a fairly large tiger on his side he knew they could not take on six wolves let alone more if they happen to have others lurking. "You guys should stay here, ill go...talk to them, maybe they will listen to reason" he said seeing they were on a strait path to them and not the reindeer. He stepped forward a little hasentant at first but then held his head high as he bounded forward, knowing he probably will become a chew toy for the mongals.

"Eh?" It seemed to be the only thing she could do to project her complete and utter confusion and disbelief. "You're going to them? Are you crazy?" She bounded after him, trying to push herself in front of feline. "They could eat you for a snack! And then me for a five course meal! I mean, look at me, I'm delicious!" She hissed, knocking into him.
"Let's just go back to Sunny Boy and we can all survive! Live another day! Eat more lemmings," her speech increased in speed until she was barely audible.

The black wolf moved ahead of his pack, his evil smile faded a bit as he noticed that the cats had spotted them. As his cool golden eyes glanced over the band of cats, his eyes narrowed. Though he found the small lead cat quite amusing, the tiger looked more like he could actually put up a fight. If he was still young, he might actually have tried taking the big cat on, or maybe even all of them himself. He could feel some of the younger wolves around him having the same thought, the black alpha let out a low growl. He would be the one to issue an attack, he held absolute power.
Seeing the smallest cat walking ahead of the group of cats, towards him, the black wolves cool smile returned. Bemused by the sight of the small cat, he sat down and waited for it to come to him. His pack stopped as well, creating an impenetrable wall of fangs, claws, and muscle.
A red-brown wolf step out of the ranks of the pack and took his seat next to the alpha, he was the packs beta the right paw of the alph. He gave the black wolf a quizzical look, what was the alpha doing? Why had he not just ordered the pack to tare into these cats? But before he could utter any of his questions, he noticed his alphas golden eyes. Normally full of bloodlust and anger, they where now an unreadable clear gold. The beta looked back at the band of cats, a smile creeped to his battle scared face at the sight of the small brown cat. 'Was this a joke?', he wondered, bemused.

He fell to his side as she knocked into him"You do look delicious" he joked eyeing her up and down,even in this dire situation and then he sat up "but listen, I am deputy. It is my duty to deal with situations like this." He nodded his head to the wolves closing in."but I ask you please stay back, all of you.." He addressed the other 2 members of his group "and run if anything happens" he added standing he looked over to the wolves seeing that they stopped there advance "see he looks ready to talk" he said with one last smile and bounded under the snow leopard not giving her the chance to confront him more.

Once he was a good 10 feet from the wolves he talked a dressing them "what do we owe this pleaser of your visit" he called out trying to be as pleasant as possible to the intruding pack not wanting to start anything. He sat down about six feet away feeling like a mouse about to be eaten with 12 predatory eyes on him.

"How could you say such a thing? Moonpride does not run away from any threat!" The tiger whispered low, watching as their deputy stepped forward to talk. Personally, Yato thought that they should tear these mutts apart. Show them what happens when they cross into Moonpride territory. But he would wait for Jareth's command. The Bengal tiger growled low, unsheathing his mighty claws and sinking low into a battle stance. He didn't trust these wolves at all, and he especially wasn't comfortable with Jareth confronting them alone. Yato couldn't believe his ears! Did Jareth really just tell them to run if anything happened? "I'm no coward!" He hissed, baring his sharp fangs at one of the younger wolves. He didn't care how large they were. If they attacked he would be ready. "Don't be scared Lilja! Show some pride." The tiger urged his friend to stay brave and calm. "I already told you I'd protect you," He said keeping his eyes focused on the leader.

"Fine!" She snapped, still shaking. She knew she wasn't fooling anyone. She wasn't meant for battle. She always took off at the first sign of danger. "But if I die, I'm gonna haunt you. And steal all of your food. And your ladies," she winked, still trying to fool herself into bravery.
"If he gets hurt, you distract them while I run in and grab him, ok?" She murmurs to the tiger, leaning on him. "Or something, I don't know." She kicked at the snow, itching to run away. It reminded her of the time she faced that crazy mama cougar. Never again. So with a loud sigh and sat back and watched on, anticipating an attack.

The black wolf seemed somewhat bemused at the small cats words, the cat was scared that was avius, but still he had to give the small cat credit for coming before him on his own.
Wrapping his long black tail around himself, the black wolf looked down his snout at the small cat. "My name is Shade", the black alpha said, in his deep voice. "This is Aku, my beta", the alph spoke, introducing the red-brown wolf sitting next to him,"And this is part of my pack", Shade continued, indicating the four wolves standing behinde him.
"We have come here to hunt, humans have made themselves at home on our territory and are scaring away our pray. Even before you cats claimed this land for yourself, this was a rich hunting ground. I understand this is your territory now, so we will only take a few Reindeer", Shade said, looked in over at the herd of Reindeer close by.
He glanced over at Aku, "And in turn...", Shade began, looking back at the small cat before him, "We will not attack and kill you, or your companions and I will give you a message to pass along to your king."

"My name's Jereth, the Deputy of sun pride" he introduced himself after the wolf was done introducing his pack. Jereth sat silently listening to the wolf, shade as he spoke, it didn't seem like his tale was a lie, not wanting to let anyone even wolves go hungry he thought for a second "that seems reasonable, and you will leave once you are done hunting?" He questioned shade. She thought for a moment longer, he and his group were out here to hunt as well before the snow fell maybe they could help, he knew from umbras story he probably won't like the idea and lilja seems more scarred of the pack then he himself was but this idea was agree on by both party's they were sure to get enough caribou for both groups and faster. " maybe we can team up. To catch a few reindeer. Our stock pile is quite low, and if you hunt before us the prey will be sure to scurry away before we get are paws on it and visa versa" he expressed his plan to the leader " as long as all can agree that is"

She listened closely, shaking slightly. Was he actually thinking about this? This Shade didn't seem trustworthy. The unusual gleam of malice made her want to run back and hide in their camp. She attempted to calm herself, mumbling the names of flowers she knew and the herbs Inari taught her earlier that day. She didn't want to run. She wasn't the same as she was when she was with the Guild. She would be stronger, maybe gain some morals if she felt like getting wild.
Her thoughts of strength seemed to almost immediately diminish as she heard Jereth's suggestion. It was madness! They were as truthful as a couple of weasels! She growls and begins to inch away from everyone, thinking of fleeing. She didn't want to be eaten. The tales she's heard of wolves were filled with gore and tragedy, ones like Umbra. And his first hand account did nothing but rattle her.

Shade slowly nodded his head, to Jereths words, "Yes, we will only take a few", the black alpha confirmed. His golden eyes opened in surprise to the small cats plan, it had been a while since some one had surprised the expecianced leader. Sade opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off at a slight comotion.

One of the younger wolves, standing on the edge of the pack had been eying the cats. His cold yellow eyes had focussed on the female snow leopard, he scoffed. How could anyone show so much cowardness? if that had been a wolf in their pack, she would've been killed off a long time ago. His cold gaze started to follow the snow leopard, as Lilja stated to inch back. He could not stop himself anymore, his sharp claws scraped against the rock under the thin layer of snow, as the young dark gray wolf sprang forward. It landed right in front of Lilja, it's sharp fangs glizening in a fersom grin. It flexed its muscles to take another leap and this time he would take down the scaredy cat, but before he could his face was pushed into the snow. Pinning him to the ground.

As soon as Shad had seen what the young wolf had done, the black alpha had jumped forward at lighting speed. He pinned the young wolf to the ground, by his scuff. A low menacing growl had started emanating from the alpha, "Enough", the large wolf commanded, through the mouthful of fur. He gave his head and the wolf a shake, just to make sure his words had been heard. The only answer was, a small whimper emanating from the dark gray wolf. Releasing the young wolf, Shade sat up. He looked at the scared Snow Leopard, nodding his head he apologized, "You must excuse my son, it seems he has not learned any manners."
Shade turned back to Jereth, "As an apology...", the large black wolf began, getting up and moving back to his original spot, "I will give you the message and we will leave, there is a herd of Musk Ox not to far from here."
His sharp golden eyes focused on the small cat, in a deep voice Shade proceeded to speak, "A great shadow will soon spread over the land, only one thing will be able to stop it...." Shade stopped there, with a cruel smile he said, "That is all of the information I was given, maybe your healer can make something of it."
Getting up and moving his tail in a strange circular motion, the pack suddenly all began to move and headed back up the mountain. Aku was the last to leave, he gave Jereth a small nod, before also leaving. The six wolves rejoined the large pack that had stayed on the ridge, there where a good 20 wolves now. As the pack started to disappear down the other side of the mountain, the last wolf to be seen was the large silhouette of Shade.
Standing at the top, the large wolf looked into the direction of SunPrids camp. Leaning his head back, the large black alpha let out a cold howl. It was not meant for the hunting group, but for Sun. "We will see each other again, Shade thought, letting his howl ring across the mountains. His black form soon disappeared form view, like the rest of his pack.

He turned ready to chase after the young wolf but shade was quicker pinning his sun to the ground stunned by the harsh actions of the alpha he didn't move from his spot. He was worried for his pride mate but as he went to go to her shade spoke one more he listened closely to him as shade told Jereth the olmen.
Taking in all what he said he got up running back to his group just as he heard shade howl. It was eery especially after what shade told him. " are you okay" he asked lilja as he inspected her body.
