17th October, 2019: I am leaving these existing links up, however I am going to start working through some results in this thread (more recent to be honest, because a lot of lions are repped or dead now) and compiling them all into one spreadsheet and then categorized spreadsheets after that. Did some quick-glance backreading and yeah it looks more like Kit said, a mix could trigger too annd sometimes the trigger is unclear xD Or it could be coincidence (only 1 needed but they happened to have 2 etc) 2 Feline just stuck in my mind due to my experience with random rosettes ^^ 0 players like this post! Yes, when I mass breed vit x NCL I get rosettes fairly often (fallow, silky, white) and with my old raffle clone I use to get Ginger and others regularly 0 players like this post! Like? |

I've always felt marbled unders is one of the possible factors, I am almost certain there are several triggers for the rosettes to roll. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Definitely. I wonder if marbled underglaze and the other newer one would also count. I usually keep a feline mark and some type of under on my kings. I forget to post here when they throw rosettes tbh :,D I'll try to remember from now on. But my 8 vit king had thrown several rosettes when I was breeding for 9 vit. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I think the old original rosettes are the under marks, but the newer one soft and heavy definitely have something to do with vit or feline. I still think skin color determines color of rosette. I had a previous black based king that had thrown ebony heavy rosettes with black skin then just for a test I changed it to tan and started getting doubloon heavy rosettes. 0 players like this post! That's a really interesting theory with skin snow,I never even thought of that. My fallow skin boy would throw Ginger and dubloons, and a black skin threw a inverted white. 0 players like this post! Like? |
