Here's a tip i found that works for me so far: Breed for 1 or a couple of traits at a time so you don't spread yourself too thin and don't get overwhelmed.

I've been focusing breeding the Butterfly skin first and select breeding ones the chosen one that live to 1 yr old at least (Survival mode player here lol)
So far, most Albinos and some golden bases are born with the skin more often than not.

If yer having problems with skin/eyes passing, try using the Opal saltlick/ rock salt from Monkey Business (Make sure you give to the right parent lol) Sometimes you just need that boost to help ya.
I did and used those rocks and got more of the traits i wanted but that's just me ^ ^

(I still test out the rocks from time to time like i'm studying their effects)

I've only used it a few times and my lions (Mostly my boy) pass it more on their own now lol

Well I decided I want to try the hard mode playstyle and needed a heritageless king so I got a crystal eyed male groupie from this event and added 3 marks with the random marking apps
King Blue Malliw
Not a fan of the nimvarus red at all so will have to breed that out. Goal is to get a Maziwa base with marks that look good and don't cover the base too much!

I got my paws on a few groupies myself. The first one seems most promising and i'm trying him out on a trial to see how he does. If he passes he can stay as a possible heir. He and others that survive have 3 yrs to impress and become Baron or close to it.

Hello. I just noticed this clan in the forums. My kings aren't related to each other except for a pair of Smilus Primals and a male with Overgrown Teeth that I bred. But I do keep track of all my females' lines. I keep them in the Pride Dynasty as long as they have cubs that I keep for myself. The only exception for that are mutations I breed. Would that do?
