| -LOCKED - Coding Update: Lion Page, Conservation and more! | |

Coding Update!Lion Page Optimisations* Lion name and information at the header of the page has been condensed so that it doesn't take up half of the initial page. * The lion's image now fits fully in the window no matter what size your device's screen is. If you are a mobile user, you should no longer need to scroll sideways to see the full lion image. * Feed, Play and Breed/AutoBreed have been moved to the top, just underneath the image for ease of access. Play now incorporates the old Interact menu, and is automatically selected before any amusement toys are selected.
* EXP bar (or cub training bar) and level have been merged with the Lion Stats table. * Revealing a lioness' fertility has been moved to the fertility Snake - you can now use that tool to reveal the fertility of different lionesses at the same time instead of having to navigate your way through your pride. * Update Lion section is now collapsible. * A lion's biography will not show on the page if it is empty, saving some valuable page space. * Broodmother has now been incorporated into the lion's "Role" alongside Hunter and can be updated when you update your Lion's details. * You can now also secure your lion from the Update Lion section.
* Chase, Kill and Send to Nature Reserve have been condensed (with a collapsible description of all the options). The buttons have also been color coded; orange is neutral, red is negative karma, green is positive karma.
* The Nesting page has been switched around a little to have the nesting function at the top and the list of lionesses at the bottom. * Mysterious Stranger's appearance chances have been increased. * Admins can now make a response to a forum post which is displayed in a styled box and gives you a notification - for instance, if you ask a question on the news post, we can now reply in your forum post and you will know about it right away!
We've proudly donated to charity as part of our March anti-poaching event and now we have implemented a permanent page called "Conservation Efforts". This page is linked at the bottom of the game with our Terms and Code of Conduct, so that now you can investigate the charities we have donated to in the past along with some other information about conservation efforts around the globe. * Fixed broken encounters in explore Also, the quota bar for maneater studs has been lowered - last year you guys fought all together for specific shops daily, now it seems to be more relaxed due to personal bars, so we adapted :) Announcement: Next week will feature the last unique Art Update (content - decors, etc). After that, we've noticed the last Friday of August is actually the *last day* of August and next day you'd get Event news. We've decided that August 31st will become the first community update without the coding update, so that we can give you more fun content for August Event. Remember that starting September, aside from monthly Event news, every second Friday of the month will be the official update day, containing both art and coding news. The other Fridays will be Community Fridays and will contain raffles, comics, hotfix information and other similar small stuff.

Alright but sometimes people are going to have differing opinions, and that's perfectly ok. I'm actually glad it doesn't bother some people or hinder them from playing the game. But if you want others to accept your opinion, then you should probably also accept theirs. ;3 People are absolutely allowed to have differing opinions on it, I can agree to disagree. I just felt the need to clarify why I feel that way and explain a little more. I apologize if it seemed like I was arguing, what I said wasn't even directed at any one person specifically, it was more to the whole community but mostly to the admins, coders, and other staff who read our comments on the news and work hard to make the site enjoyable for everyone behind the scenes. I was just trying to explain why it's a pain for some people, and hopefully even give some of us a laugh in the process or something. I know it's pretty hard to get something like this right on the first try, so hopefully they'll take some of our ideas into consideration. It's a small thing, but yes it is kind of a big deal. There are so many things on here that require clicking and going to an entirely different page, waiting for it to load (which is hard for people who have slow internet and connection problems too), and then having to click even more is very time-consuming. For people who have large prides of 100-200+, it already takes all day just to get the basic stuff done, like feeding, training cubs, playing the games, breeding (which is now also much more of a hassle as I've pointed out), and that's a lot of clicking and loading pages, which makes the game a lot less enjoyable. It isn't just a matter as simple as naming your lions, I mean it's easy to find a lioness with a certain name from the list if you're on a computer, since you can just type the first few letters of her name and find her. But when you're playing on mobile like on a phone or etc, and still trying to get stuff done, it's much harder because you can't just type a few keys to find the lioness you want on the list, but instead are forced to scroll through absolutely ALL of them. And if you have hundreds on the list, even if they're named, that can take ages. Especially if you have to scroll through 200+ lions, even with different names, just to find the one that you want, it takes forever. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack in a game that is already hours and hours of clicking and scrolling for some of us. Which is especially irritating when it used to be as simple as clicking a single button one time. I have to be honest... I really just want the game to be enjoyable for everyone and I don't see how fixing it for the people that it does bother would hurt anything.  0 players like this post! Not once did I say I want other people to agree with my opinion. I simply just wanted to state how I feel. Which I should be allowed to do just as others are allowed to do without being attacked left and right about how people disagree with me ;) Its called an OPINION for a reason dear. I have no problems with others having their own opinions, I haven't said anyone was wrong for the way they think. It's just not going to change mine, and I dislike arguments, so theirs no need to argue with me about it. Simple as that. I'm in no way saying my opinion is better or that people should agree with it, so not sure where you got that random information from. They can fix whatever they want, I'm not opposed to it or trying to stop anything like that from happening, I'll say it again, I was just stating that its not an inconvenience for ME, and no amount of people trying to argue with me about it is going to change that  I just figured instead of all the negative bs people post all the time that the mods would appreciate a positive comment for once, because I personally like to look on the bright side of things.So I'll say it again as I have tried to say it nicely, please stop arguing with me about it. I don't want to argue, but I do want to be able to voice my own opinion! I have thought through how everything works on the site, and in MY opinion don't see it as being an inconvenience, no matter how many lions I have. :) If someone specifically requests in a polite manner that people don't counter argue an opinion, then people should be mature enough to respect that request. Not trying to jump into the middle of it or be mean or single anyone out or anything and this is only from an outsider's perspective but Kiita only stated their opinion about it too. If you're entitled to yours then why isn't she? Why can't Icey or Blue Pigeon or any of the others who also posted about it have their own opinions too? If you post any opinion in the public forums then people are going to counter it whether you like it or not. And from what I saw it wasn't even directed at you until you singled her out. Even then she was defending her opinion by politely stating facts and she stated that she had no problem with people disagreeing. What she said mostly appeared to be based on facts that she pointed out anyway regarding how the new pages are set up and how it could be bothersome to some players. All she did was apologize to Orange and try to explain why she feels the way she does about it. Really not seeing the problem especially after she apologized. And nowhere did I see her say anything about anyone's opinion being better than anyone else's but at the same time the way she said some things did come off as a little aggressive. Being positive is great and all but it doesn't really help them to improve the game any if we sit around and sugarcoat everything for the sake of being nice. I got the sense that's what she was trying to do- give the developers actual feedback that they could use to improve it. Your 'opinion' is ok to have but at least the facts she stated along with hers were helpful for improving the game. And for a 'positive' person you sure did jump her case awfully fast for disagreeing with your high and mighty little opinion. Also want to point out that the site is 16+ and the legal age for someone to be considered an adult is 18. (This is in no way an opinion but a fact as well.) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Just don't even worry about it Ecks. There really is no need to get hostile over something like this. I tend to be very blunt sometimes and it often comes across differently from the way I intended. I said I was sorry and I truly did not intend to upset anyone, I was only trying to explain why I feel the way I do about it, so people (the ones that wanted to) could have a little more insight into the problem. Having to go to the snake to reveal the fertility is time consuming... Then even after you trade your goods the revealed fertility does not show up on the lioness. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ecks I'm sorry you think I came across rude but other than my previous post (the one right before this one) I was nothing but polite ^^ I respectfully stated to others that I would not like to argue about my opinion, and people tried to do it anyways C: I even said that they made a good point but from my point of view none of that stuff is an inconvenience so. Discluding my previous post, which was only snarky toned because the person I was responding to was snarky to me (for some reason?) I would love to see you point out where I was rude. Because I wasn't. 16 is a young adult, and definitely old enough to know how to be respectful towards others! And you're obviously misunderstanding. Its not them stating their opinions that was the problem, its the fact that they were directing what they were saying about their opinions toward me in argument form, which I politely requested not to be done. Which yes, does happen on the internet, but those who are truly mature would learn to be respectful of a persons wishes if they request it in a polite manner ^^ and as far as this goes "And for a 'positive' person you sure did jump her case awfully fast for disagreeing with your high and mighty little opinion." You really shouldn't just assume things dear. I didn't jump anyones case for having a different opinion...which should be pretty clear from the messages I wrote. Maybe give them another read? My problem was that they were arguing with me about it, when I said I wasn't trying to start arguments and that I didn't wish to argue. I never implied my opinion was high and mighty, just that its mine and I'm entitled to it, just as everyone else is. She was not snarky toward you at all so I think you may be the one misunderstanding things or misreading her tone perhaps? You implied that others were acting childish but you were the only one I saw being disrespectful here at all. And it's not pulled out of thin air since it's based exactly on what you said. At least she was mature enough to apologize multiple times for the misunderstanding and refuse to argue about it anymore. But I am not here to argue with people who seem hellbent on it either so moving on.... I agree completely FD, even though I have a small pride it's just annoying to have to deal with. I guess everyone will learn in their own time how people should be treated. If you want to be treated nicely then treating others nicely from the beginning is a good way to start!
