Midnight Pride is a pride that lives in Africa with lions of many different colors and genetics. These Lions live on a government protected land and cannot be killed by humans, at least not legally. Poachers are rare, but do make it onto the land occasionally. You can have as many lions that you own in this roleplay as you want. SUB MALES CAN BREED! YOU CAN START RIGHT AFTER YOU POST YOUR CHARACTER SHEET! YOU DONT NEED TO BE ACCEPTED! _________________________________ Ranks Roles For Midnight Pride: King: Leads the pride with his mate, the Queen. Makes all the important decisions and war movements. He may kick out of accept any lion or lioness into the pride. Shujaa. Lead Queen: Leads the pride with the king, she has all the same power as him. There will be 1 lead queen. Frith Sub Males: helps the King and Lead Queen with anything, they're the males of the pride Mfupa, Kondo, Tali, Caster, King, Lead Hunter/Huntress: Leads the hunting party that searches for prey and takes it down. Queen: The Queen's are the second highest lionesses in the pride. They are respected and come in after the King and the Lead Queen and the heirs. They are normally the first to breed. Emerald Healers: They are passionate for their talent in the healing touch. But when it comes to helping other lions they help. Unable to help their desire to heal. Healers are wise and full of faith, ready to help the pride in anyway they can. Sanura, Mala, Sakura, Hunter: Members of the hunting party that catch the pride's meals. Tamu, Thilva Cub sitters: Usually pregnant females or females that are nursing, they keep watch over the cubs Lagniappe, Aliya Trainees: Young lions and lionesses training to become Hunters. Judge, Kaz, Winter, Tamu Cubs: The youngsters of the pride Elders: The old, very respected members of the pride. Loners: males and females that dont have a pride or have chosen not to join one. Silvermoon, Red, Rose, fire opal, reeva, creek Remember these rules; ALL LD RULES APPLY • Please be respectful at all times, if you have any problems please tell me and/or anyone I make admin of the RP. • Do NOT kill of other people's characters or start fights without their permission. • Do NOT force a romance onto any characters without the owner's permission. • Any and all characters are allowed to have a crush, but please as the owner of the character. They might not like it. • I encourage any and all drama in the RP. Though when it comes to natural disasters or things of the sort please inform me, and we will make a vote as a group. (Please keep the drama in the RP, none of us want unnecessary fighting or fighting at all.) • Gore, is fine, encouraged even. When it comes to sexual content, just fade to black or go to PM's. Sundance laid near the entrance of the den sleeping away as she usually did. The sun felt good against her scarred body. She was awaken by Starkiss who had gently nudged her awake. "Hey Sundance I brought you a gazelle calf to eat. Something to snack on for now." The female tigon says putting the carcass in front of Sundance. The blind lioness smile warmly and shook her head. "You'll fatten me up cubbling if you keep feeding me like this." Sundance says in a shaky and tired tone before taking a bite. "Yeah well that is cause they are usually my warm up hunts. Small prey are perfect for getting the body ready for a real hunt." Starkiss says as she lays next to Sundance and leans against her. "Cubbling you are heavy, maybe you are eating a little too well." Sundance teased as she lets out a dry chuckle. "I am not heavy, im smaller than you and dad." She snorted before playfully nudging Sundance. "Anyways I have to get going, I still need to get my successful hunt of the day. Oh and groom yourself, I don't want to come back just to pull ticks off you." Starkiss says before padding off. Sundance grumbles to herself as she continued to eat her meal. Kilrm was patrolling the lands and making sure all was right. He had fought a small band of hyenas earlier and didn't like that their stench clung to him. He came by a watering hole and took a dip in it in an attempt to wash off the smell. The water was cool and he couldn't resist taking a couple laps of water before getting out. He shook the loose water from his fur and continued on his patrol. 0 players like this post! At the same time he knew there were things he couldn't do for others and there were times when he'd be useless, even so he always made an effort to be happy and bring new members into the pride. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" he asked. "Perhaps you have questions?" the Smilus asked with a tilt of his head. Tausi was lazily enjoying the warmth of the sun on his belly just out side the healers den. He didn't really have much to do but if the younger healers needed him to go foraging he'd happily do so. The red tigon with his pale blue eyes soon grew tired of being lazy alone and decided he should go bother someone who'd want his company even if it was only for a chat. Snare and Trail were about to go on a hunt when they happened to pass by Starkiss. The two tigon siblings hesitated before the more confident of the two Trail, approached Starkiss softly padding towards the leoponess she called out a greeting. "Hi there, my brother and I were wondering if you'd join us on a hunt, of course you don't have to he just thought it'd be more fun if it was more than just us two" Trail suggested. Snare glanced over to Starkiss and trail but remained silent. He had no idea what to say he really wasn't good with the whole being social thing, his sister always seemed to pick up where he fell short. Shadowstep was meant to be resting a recent injury he gained from a scuffle with a Rogue but the large Smilus loathed taking it easy and resting so he was heading to the waterhole to kill his boredom and maybe chase whatever was hanging about. He was in no real rush as he padded along, soon though he reached his distination stopping to take a drinking he caught the sent of a fellow pride lion. The scent had mingled with that of hyena and curiosity got the better of him he followed the faint scent not really sure what to expect when he reached the end of it though. He figured his size would deter a fight or maybe it wouldn't he wasn't too worried. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He sat on a rock he found that laid near the middle ground where the sun rays shined down onto it, a great place to sunbath and rest. Starkiss lefted her head when she heard paw steps coming closer. She looked back at Sundance before getting up. "I'd love to join." The tigon says as she stands up and butts her head gently against Sundance. "I'll be back okay." With those last words she looks at the sibling with a mischievous grin. "First one to the grazing grounds is a dungbeatle." She laughs before running off leaving the two behind. Sundance couldn't help but chuckle at the sound of the tigoness and the two other lions running off. She gave a small sigh as silence took place of laughter. Deep down she hated being blind. She did nothing but lay around all day. Her hearing and sense of smell were extremely good but it still didn't make her feel better. She was just about to ask Starkiss to go take her to the watering hole before she left. She let a dry cough escape her throat leaving a slight stinging sensation behind. She slowly stood up and tried to find the exit but ended up tripping on a stone. She laid there for a moment before getting back up. Kilrm was licking himself dry when Shadowstep came into view. He gave a small snort as he watched the smilus male drank some water. Kilrm knew about the male's recent scruffle. "Shouldn't you be resting?" He called out showing no fear as he walked closer. "Rest is very important when it comes to healing, all you'll do is make it heal slower." He said sounding like a father lecturing his cub. Kilrm couldn't help himself, he didn't like when lions didn't take proper care of themselves. If Shadowstep had been Starkiss he'd had dragged her back to camp and forced her to rest. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Heka's stomach growled, she hadn't hunted in days, and it was time to go back to the pride. She lifted herself up onto her paws and gently nudged her cubs awake. She set off,her paws making a rythmn, an hour later she smelled the scent of the pride on the outskirts of their territory. Heka looked back, smiling as she saw her cubs playing behind her. She started to walk slowly, letting the cubs catch up, then started to trot hastily. Reaching the center of the prides territory, Heka roared, alerting the pride that she was there with her 3 cubs 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sundance sniffed the air as she heard Heka's roar. She smiled softly as she knew the lioness had been gone only to raise her cubs. She tried to find the entrance but stopped when her paws hit something soft.bshe could tell from the scent it was Richie. "Sorry Richie, I didn't know you were there." She said softly as she tried to find her way around him but ended up stepping on his paw. "Err sorry about that too, eyes have gone completely black. Still am not use to it." She took a few steps foward just to make sure when she did sit she wouldn't sit on him. She gave a small sigh and wrapped her tail around her paws. She was incredibly thirsty and wanted a drink, but at the same time didn't want to bother anyone. Hassun stayed curled up next to his dead mother just outside of midnight territory. Why was this happening to him. Days ago he was being pampered and loved by the pride's lionesses and now he was alone. He trembled in fear when the familiar sound of whooping and cackles filled the air. He looked at the infected wound his mother had. A hyena had given it to her after it tried to eat him. Frantic he stayed growling and roaring for help. A bad decision seeing as now the hyenas knew his location now. 0 players like this post! Malia startled as she heard something moving in bushes beside her. Without thinking and pure instinct of being alone her whole life she ducked into the undergrowth, lowered her haunches to hide herself, and prepared encase something tried to attack her, like has happened so many times in her life before. Kassun lowered his whole body to the floor trying to hide from the hyenas. Their stench filled his nose as they came into view. Without a second thought he dashed off. He could hear the snapping of jaws and snarls close behind him. He wasn't paying attention to where he was running amd ran into something dark and somewhat hard. He looked up to see a male lion standing before him. He heard the hyenas again and instinctively hid behind the large male. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He took a deep breath and let out a fierce deep roar as a warning to the hyenas to not go in this direction. He normally wouldn't help out stray cubs but for some reason he wanted to help this cub. He would have hoped the Hyenas headed to his warning roar as he knows how pesty they could be as he delt with them a couple times or two and it will end in two ways, they will turn away or a very bloody battle would happen and depending on how many there are he could potentially win or lose. 0 players like this post! Kassun Jumped at the loud roar. He looked between the male's legs to see the hyenas stop and hesitate before running off. It was then that Kassun began to cry uncontrollably. For the first time since getting exiled from his pride he cried. His whole life had come crashing down around him and he couldn't do nothing to stop it.
