Birchheart’s eyes softened at the sight of the injured warriors. She hated seeing any cat injured, regardless of rank or what clan they were a part of. “Tatterdjaw’s right, we just wanted to make sure you were alright, and if there was anything we could do to help, we’d be glad to do so...” she mewled. She wanted to be confident, but she decided that it wasn’t the best time for that, all Birchheart wanted to do was be helpful.

Fernstar spun around as the other cats came into her camp, her Clan. Her large silvery ears flattened, and she stalked forwards, towering over the other cats, using her large size to intimidate them, her muscles rippling underneath her fluffy pelt. Her emerald green eyes narrowed.

"Hello." She meowed, trying to remain friendly, but did not like these cats intruding in her Clan, especially when they were weak. She turned her head to let out a small cough, then turned back, her maw a bit red-stained. "Are you here for any particular reason?"

Her ear flicked at the she-cats words. "That's nice. Let's take this to the territory, alright?" She meowed, her milk-dipped paws leading her to the entrance of the temporary camp.

The sturdy warrior padded after Fernstar, a sense of respect for the clan leader in her gaze. Trying not to feel pity for the injured cats, Tatteredjaw glanced around the forest, the distant crackling of fire ever constant in her ears. "Your clan has suffered greatly because of this, I assume. You are a respectable cat, Fernstar, you're holding it together quite well." She spoke softly, her shorter legs causing her to be just a few steps behind said she-cat no matter how fast she walked.

Her mind wandered to the scent of the temporary camp while walking, feeling a twinge in her heart at the familiar scent of newborn kits. They lost their home because of this... Hopefully they won't lose much more.

Birchheart followed in the elder cats pawsteps. Her ears flattened sadly as she walked past all the injured cats, even more so with the fresh scent of kits. She quickly caught up to Fernstar and Tatterdjaw. Birchheart had a million questions running through her mind. “Is there anything we can do to help?” Birchheart decided to ask, just as they left the camp. She wondered how Terrastar would react to how much damage the fire had already caused Aetherclan. But for now she just followed Fernstar out of the camp.

Sootstep's tufted ears fell flat against his head as he stepped back, allowing the three she-cats to begin walking off. Hard cobalt gaze trailed after Fernstar with concern. Should h follow them from a distance, to make sure that she wasn't being led into a trap? A look of clear discomfort quickly spread across his visage as he debated in his head. After a few moments the tom simply shrugged his shoulders and retreated into a different corner of the temporary camp. He had no reason to believe Fern could not defend herself, as she was a titanic figure and could definetly defend herself.

The ashen tom slumped against the ground and decided keeping an ear open would be the best thing. Charcoal hued feet thrummed against the loose dirt. Soot couldn't relax with the sickly stench of intruders still wafting around the camp and smoke making the air a putrid, toxic hole of disgust. Starclan, do I want a nap. Yet, he couldn't let himself fully relax with the thought of his..leader out in the middle of nowhere. Hm.

The massive silver tabby stood at the entrance of camp, and sat down. She was a large intimidating figure when one got right down to it, her silhouette standing out amongst the charred remains of the burnt forest. She sighed wearily, her emerald gaze looking around the decimated woodland.

She shook her head, returning her attention to the intruders, no, she had to be friendly, or at least try to be. She took a deep breath, then blinked her deep malachite hues in surprise, looking at Tatteredjaw. Did she truly mean that? "Oh, thank you.." She meowed softly, an almost unnoticeable blush creeping over her face. "I have too, for my Clans sake, if not my own."

Fernstar blinked again in surprise. She thought these cats would be shifty,and try to take advantage of her Clan in their weakened state, but it seemed that it wasn't the case. "Well, I would have to check in with my medicine cats." She meowed, in response to Birchhearts question. "We still need to rebuild the camp, the original camp, which has been damaged badly. And we need to build up the herb stores, along with treating all the injured cats. Most have been seen to, but Sootstep hasn't." She meowed. She let out a small cough, turning her head to the side, the ground splattering with a couple of red drops that had a distinctly metallic smell.

She looked around once again, eyes going a bit wide as she realized Sootstep was still in camp. She sighed, and swept her large, feathery tail around her broad alabaster. She gave a couple of licks to her ivory chest, which looked more grey than white, due to the smoke. She pursed her lips. "That's what we really need." She meowed, mulling over the thoughts in her head. "Can you talk to Terrastar about it, please? Or would you rather that I go and deliver my message? If I do go, I will take a warrior with me."

Birchheart followed Fernstar’s gaze. She immediately felt bad for both the leader and her deputy. “We’ll go relay the message to Terrastar, you’re needed here.” Birchheart spoke softly. It wouldn’t be right to force Fernstar away from her clan now. “We’ll see what we can do about your camp, but I hope your clan gets better.” She purred. Birchheart could tell that Fernstar really cared about her clan mates. This further assured Birchheart that clan life was where she belonged.

Birchheart turned towards Tatteredjaw, and silently signaled to her that they should leave. “We’d better head back to our territory and report to Terrastar. I’m sure he won’t just leave Aetherclan in the dust.” Birchheart meowed.

With a sharp nod and a head dip of respect to the Aetherclan leader, Tatteredclaw started in the direction back towards Terraclan. She glanced at Fernstar and Sootstep, eyebrows furrowed, before looking ahead once more. The crackling of the fire became louder as they walked, though she tried to reassure herself that it wasn't very close. "It's good that the Aetherclan cats are alive, but it worries me that they are having trouble treating the victims of the fire." She hummed, looking back at Birchheart with a gentle gaze. The sturdy she-cat seemed to relax her posture quite a bit as soon as they were out of eyesight from Fernstar and Sootstep, but she still seemed on edge.

Birchheart nodded at the elder warrior, “I know, I just hope we can help them!” She added enthusiastically. She trotted forward not really paying attention to where she was going. The loud crackling of the fire grew louder, and the smell grew more pungent. However, it wasn’t until she felt her face heat up that she knew she was trapped in a wall of embers. Birchheart coughed violently from the smoke and her eyes blurred. She jumped through the flames, but ended up with multiple burns.

As Birchheart ran she leaped away from the fire, but tripped on a branch and twisted her paw. “Help!” She yowled. She could barely make out the border of Terraclan’s territory, but once she did, she dashed for it. She eventually made it close to Terraclan’s camp, but she was bruised, burned, and sore.

Mintwhisper tensed up as a silver tabby approached, sizing up the large cat. This must be Fernstar, Aetherclan’s leader. The deep red furred she-cat gazed at her foe with little emotion in her eyes. She wouldn’t deny that she was a bit scared of the proud leader, who in their right mind wouldn’t be at least a bit wary. She unsheathed her claws and dig them into the dirt, her ears flicking backwards and her pupils narrowed. She made herself look as intimidating as possible, wrinkling her nose at the scent of the smoke. However the warrior didn’t answer the question, instead waiting for Stormstep to respond.

Rainpaw swiveled around at the intimidating voice. The silver she-cat standing before them was huge and definitely stronger than her. She glanced at Mintwhisper, who had unsheathed her claws and flattened her ears. Rainpaw quickly did the same. This must be the leader of Aetherclan. She worried that they may be coming off too hostile, especially when they didn’t mean any harm to an already weakened clan, but didn’t drop her stance.

"i'm marking the new borders. Isn't it obvious?" He rolled his eyes and continued marking the borders. No cat will not let him do this. Even his own mother. He flicked his tail dismissively and smiled at the cat. "I will fight you if you step onto our territory. You don't want to start a war while your cats are hurt and burnt. Do you?" He smiled in a unfriendly teasing way. Stormstep easly squared up to the cat. He was equally as tall and he thought he was stronger. But the only way to tell was in a fight he thought.
