・❈ Pyrals: Exploring ❈・
Status: Closed
________________________________________________________________

Main Thread

1zdrjuf.jpg

Pyrals are native to many different parts of the world, preferring to form bonfires (that's the word for a group of Pyrals ) in areas that are actually a bit more cold than warm. As a result, they end up in vast, breezy areas in northern Europe, Asia, and North America.
Since feral Pyrals need to be shown that people are nice and aren't a threat or a disturbance, it's highly recommended that you bring a Hot Cinnamon Roll (HCR) with you to help convince Pyrals you're safe. Every once in a while, you'll be confronted with one. If the Pyral isn't really your thing, that's okay too, and it'll be put up here for public flatsale instead!
Obviously, Pyrals are the ideal product from exploration, but you'll also be able to find various Pyral items, decors, and even SB! ^^

Anyway... don't worry about all of that. You can ask me questions if I made that explanation confusing. Now why don't you go out into the wild and give exploring a try?
If you find a Pyral and throw out an HCR, you're 100% guaranteed to claim it! Note that the Pyral might not be an adult yet, or may be injured & requiring medical care!

How Exploring Works
________________________________________________________________

Responses to explore requests will be scenario-driven, and I'll ask you to pick between a few options to do something each time. The person is exploring is you, but all Pyrals that you currently have will come with you. This is how their personalities come into play -- some Pyrals are loyal, some are mischievous, some are aggressive... you can check your Pyral's personality on the Archives, and it'll affect how they behave in the explore environment! You don't have to already have a Pyral to explore, although they'll certainly get things for you and help you along the way!

Please only request to explore one zone at a time!

You can send all payment for any exploring/HCRs/first aid kids etc after the session is over (after 3 responses), and you've received something or found a Pyral.

Areas

Meadow of Pyres
Cost: 40 to explore, 2 for 1zdrjuf.jpg when taming Pyrals

You stand in a grassland of tall, soft yellow reeds and occasional trees in clusters along the colorful horizon. It's best to come to the Meadow of Pyres at sunset, since it's rumored that a bonfire of Pyrals is sometimes seen running through the meadow at that time - it's what gave the land its name. You can almost hear the fire crackling and the pounding of dainty footsteps in the distance already.

149sfpz.jpg
Foggy Highlands
Cost: 70 to explore, 2 for 1zdrjuf.jpg when taming Pyrals
You stand on one of the highest points of a breathtaking mountain range in eastern Asia. Crooked trees dot almost all available space below you, and a quiet dirt path nested through the trees marks the way you came up. It's so quiet and pleasant here, although a bit chilly. This could definitely be home to a bonfire of Pyrals!

21aepdz.jpg
The Starry North
Cost: 100 to explore, 2 for 1zdrjuf.jpg when taming Pyrals
You can see an aurora borealis glistening in the sky above the pine trees, but otherwise, it's a dark night. The snow is extremely thick under your boots, and you're not sure how deep it is, but you can tell this place experiences practically neverending winter. What Pyral would want to live here? You're probably more likely to find items...

Meadow of Pyres --
You step through the tall grass with wonder and caution. The colors of the sunset beam down on the dotting of trees in the horizon. You turn at the sound of your white-and-red Pyral, Danxin, padding up behind you cautiously. She puts her head at your side. She seems concerned and is reluctant to move on, like she knows for sure that something is near.

Maybe you should comfort her and show her there's no worries, and that you should keep going? Or you could stand in the grass and wait... she might be right, after all. Something dangerous might be close...

Foggy Highlands --
You have been hiking through the dense forestry for a while, and it's starting to get dark out. The stars and moon are covered by very dark clouds, which have been kind to you so far -- it's only drizzling -- but it looks like heavy rain is practically imminent. You reach a small plateau to stop and rest at and catch your breath, when the rain suddenly picks up pressure. Danxin, who has been trailing behind you, brightens her fires so it's easier for you to see. The rain beats down relentlessly on both of you, and in panic, you look around for cover of some kind - and in the distance, to the left of the trail, you can make out the entrance of a large cave.

You and Danxin could definitely take shelter in the cave and get out of the hard rain, but who knows what might be lurking in there? Is it worth the chance? You could also just continue up the muddy pathway, which would be dangerous too, but at least you'd know what to expect. Plus, you're almost at the top of this mountain... what will you do?

The Starry North --
It's so peaceful here. Not a thing disturbs the silence and the sanctity of fresh, untouched snow. There aren't any trails or pre-marked pathways here in the wilderness, but it doesn't bother you much. Danxin seems excited about this place, like she's confident nothing will bother her out here. Her fires are burning brightly to keep both of you warm.
As you continue walking, Danxin jumps out and starts running ahead out of happiness. In time, she disappears from your sight through the trees. You're glad she feels safe enough to go and see what's out there, which is uncommon for her, and plus - she always comes back, so you're not worried.
But this time, you wait a few minutes, and there is still no sight of Danxin. Where did she go and why hasn't she returned yet?

You should probably follow the direction she went. Is there another option? xD

Foggy Highlands --
Here it finally is, the landmark you've awaited for on your map: The most delicate tree you've probably ever seen. It's a giant, magnificent thing, fogged with many layers of dull green leaves, and its tallest branches seem to stretch out hundreds of feet in every direction. You sit down at its base, and Phrixia curls up next to you. All is well and quiet, until you hear a rustling in the breadth of the big tree sprawled out above you. Phrixia perks her ears toward the noise, but she doesn't get up.
After some further inspection, you spot the fires, and you can definitely make out the vague figure of a wild Pyral up there! It's just sitting perched in the highest branches; not in any aggressive stance, but it doesn't seem keen to come down either.

How will you go about this? You could try to lure it down the tree, you could wait and see how Phrixia reacts, you could try to climb the tree and get to it, you could even be rude and try shaking the tree branch... it's up to you!

@Ivy and @Entity404 sure, but in the future I think I'm going to only allow one zone at a time per request haha. It's a lot of writing xD

Also, to everyone! I should mention: there are 3 'steps' per explore, or 3 of my responses before the explore ends. You can keep exploring more after that, of course, it'll just cost another zone payment and the scenario will be different. c:

@Argoo

Meadow of Pyres --
You sit and wait, trusting Danxin's judgement. Just a moment later, a massive swarm of butterflies erupts from the grass, flavoring your vision with every color in the rainbow and beyond. They begin to mass in the air and swirl around you and Danxin in circles; a gorgeous flurry of color. After a few loops, they swarm flies off.
You got 2 Butterfly Decors!

Foggy Highlands --
You and Danxin book it and make your way over to the cave, desperate to stay out of the rain. At first look, it doesn't look so deep, but when you stand and see it clearly by the light of Danxin's fire, you can't even see the end of it. Regardless, you sit down on the stone floor and try to dry yourself off.
Suddenly, a lightning bolt strikes down just outside, flashing the cave with white and igniting the blaring sound of thunder. Danxin tries to nudge your leg to encourage you to come with her, and then jumps and darts in the other direction as fast as she can, completely spooked. She is shaking and running for her life, having never experienced a lightning storm. You naturally get up and run after her, deeper and deeper into the cave system. After a few minutes, she at last stops and rests, letting you catch up.

What do to/tell Danxin? You could scold her, pet her, decide to lead her back to the entrance, decide to lead her further into the cave...

The Starry North --
You race after Danxin's fresh pawprints in the snow. After running for a while, the tracks finally seem to cease over the hill, where there stands an old cottage in the woods.
You make it over the hill and get to the cottage, which you can see now is a small, rickety building built of wooden planks. Here, Danxin's tracks suggest that she paced around the outside of the building for a bit, and then went inside! You look up and realize that the old stone chimney is smoking. There must be people in there, too. Maybe they took her inside?

You should knock on the door and ask if they've seen a white-and-red Pyral anywhere around. Or who knows, maybe they kidnapped her, and you should kick down the door to rescue her!

@🐑Inkk🐏Bean🐑

Foggy Highlands --
You decide to wait and see how Phrixia reacts before you make a move. By now, she's realized that there's definitely another Pyral up there too! She stands up, twists around excitedly, and gives out a loud roar-bark toward the feral Py in the tree. He shifts his weight, and the branches shake. After a few seconds, he returns a roar-bark, and begins to slowly make his way down the tree. You excitedly watch the wild Pyral jump off the huge tree and come confront you. You don't know what Phrixia might've said to him, but he is definitely interested in you!

900pj4.jpg
This Pyral is an industrious friend and worker, and he loves to share his talents for the benefit of others.
So, is it claiming time? :D
If you want him to be yours, the opportunity is right here! If he's not really your thing, that's okay, and you don't have to take him. Otherwise, all you need is a Hot Cinnamon Roll (2 ) to convince him! <3

More for others in next post, figured this one was already too long xD

Meadow of Pyres --
As you trek through the meadow, Nyx walks peacefully at your side. Her daughter Névé follows a while behind, looking at the world around her with enchantment. In the distance, you spot the glimpse of some figures running on the horizon, and decide to go after them (they might be Pyrals!), with Nyx and Névé following you. You've almost caught up to them, and find that it's definitely a bonfire of Pyrals, colorful and feeling the breeze in their fires! While you're running, you hear a panicked roar-bark behind you, and turn to see that Névé, being small, fell down into a little fault/trench in the ground! She's trapped!

Do you stop, turn around, and try to get Névé out of there, or keep trying to chase the bonfire? If you leave them now, you might not get the opportunity to claim one here again! But if you keep chasing them, who knows what could happen to Névé? It's up to you to decide what to do!

Foggy Highlands --
It's chilly here, and it lives up to its name in being extremely foggy. You hike the upper mountains of the Foggy Highlands, and aren't able to see very well what's ahead of you anymore. Nyx notices you're having some trouble seeing what's ahead, so she runs ahead to illuminate the way with her fires. She had good intentions, but it's actually just harder to see anything now since the rest of the world looks even darker. In your confusion, you stumble and trip over something in the ground -- and it sounded hollow! What was that?!

Perhaps you should look at what you tripped over?

The Starry North --
Sure, the Foggy Highlands were cold, but it's nothing compared to here. In the Starry North, the snow is so thick that you can't see so much as a twig or patch of green anywhere! Névé seems to love the extreme cold, and she bounces and plays in the snow ahead of you. Nyx doesn't hate it either, although her paws seem a little more sensitive to the snow. She could benefit from a pair of snow boots.

You got a Snow Boots decor!

The Starry North (#2) --
You've reached a patch of land among the desolate snowland which is actually stone and covered in rocks, and it's much easier to walk in! The very tall pine trees almost separate to form a stone clearing here. Looking up, you see that it's because very far above you, a mountain looms over the area and blocks out the snowy covering. Nyx likes it here, as it's a nice break from the relentlessly cold footing. As you walk on, suddenly a giant figure overwhelms your shadows from above, and you look up to see a massive flying thing come from a dive right above you. The beast soars back upward to save itself from hitting you, and then glides away. It definitely isn't a bird! Both of your Pyrals seem a bit razzed by this as well.
It's already too far away to try to see this beast more closely, and now all you can see is its massive flapping wings far off on the horizon. That was incredible. You've been the first person to ever see something like this.

You should keep going and try to see where that thing was going, right? Or maybe you should walk in the direction it came from, to see if there's more, and if you can learn anything else about them...?

Meadow of Pyres --
Upon arriving in the meadow, it doesn't take long at all for Ranshao to get himself into trouble. He leaps in the grass and rolls around, happy about the ample space and the smell of other Pyrals around. You let him take the lead on deciding where to go, and he's just wiggling around playfully until he suddenly sits up, his fires stationary and his ears alerted toward something. He sits up to get a better view of whatever he's looking at.

Will you wait and let him decide what to do/figure out what's wrong, or get up and check out what's drawing his attention?

Meadow of Pyres -- I can always explore again but I only have one pup so I’m gonna stop and help Névé out as I don’t wanna loose her

Foggy Highlands -- I’ll look over what I happen to trip over as I’m quite curious

The Starry North (#2) -- The things clearly aggressive and faster then me with those wings so I’ll go exploring in the direction that it came from and try and see if there’s any more
