haha ik this is VERY far out there, but idk maybe it would be cool as a mutation? (could be a base also tbh) anyway, I was thinking it would be a very very rare mutation that would only show up on certain events ie: Celestial and Oct events. Also, it could give players who are not interested in hybrids/don't have one to try for something else that is equally as rare! Bioluminescence is some pretty cool stuff, it's apparently evolved over 40 different times throughout its history, which is neat. Essentially it allows marine life (jellyfish, bacteria, starfish, etc) and some terrestrial life (fireflies and some fungi) to actually light themselves up. The ability to do this all bioluminescent organisms use a reaction between an enzyme and a substrate to make light! So how would this work in Lioden? (First I know this is sooo unrealistic, but we've got blue lions friends the horse has left the barn years ago lol) I was thinking that your lioness (or lion) could accidentally eat some "pretty" fungi or fireflies and by some science magic, there's a chance for their offspring to somehow inherit the bioluminescent gene. The mutation itself would be subtle I'm thinking? I mean if someone would like to do a mock up that would be cool haha Celestial event: Your lioness/you happen to wander into a thick patch of fireflies. Your lioness/you can barely see past the swarm of shiny bugs and you happen to accidentally ingest a some, now your lioness/you feel tingly. Oct event: Your lioness/you suddenly find themselves very lost in a dark forest that is crawling with creatures of the night. The fur on your neck rises in fear when you feel a puff of breath on your nose. Suddenly a lion lights up in front of you, he tells you he knows the way out. --He leads you out of the forest and leaves or offers you a gift, some brightly colored mushroom that you can eat. *This is what I was thinking the mutation could look like on lions! Very subtle!* Pic of a bioluminescent jellyfish |

Xanthic, Cinnabar, theyre bright enough, I dislike the idea of really unnatural things on the lions, Different colors are okay but making the mutations something like this, is too much. I dont want glowing lions, if you do there is a custom dΓ©cor option for more unrealistic stuff. This is TOO much 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Demona that would be awesome thank you!! :) @Television I understand that! I imagined it to be more subtle than blinding! Thank you for your input though! :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. The mutations we have on site typically are or were once a thing for felines, big or small. Bioluminescence isn't even in anything closely related to felines, or even mammals. Invertebrates, plants yes. But no mammal has ever had anything near to bioluminescence, so I highly doubt this would end up implemented into the game. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support, buuut. I think it'd be better if it was special MARKINGS that would glow with those colors, the eyes too. It'd look nice with dark bases. But, I don't know. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@zodiac i agree BUT I did some research and the gene for bioluminescence actually exist in numerous mammals and numerous places have made gmo bioluminescent animals very easily so maybe it could be a mutation possibly gain from a gmo item (like the chicken or cow or maybe a whole new item, i notice the main animals tested on were mice & pigs so maybe a gmo pig? Lol) It would somewhat make since. While im mot trying to change your view on the topic, id just though iβd share that information since i found it pretty interesting XD 0 players like this post! It's not unrealistic, as a few years ago, scientists managed to make rabbits glow in the dark by inserting jellyfish genetics or something!! So it could be a mutation only available via GMO Cow, or Lion Scrotum if the mother has the mutation!! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Im sorry i kinda agree with telly (even though i don't mind bright things!) Personally i think it would be better as a decor? ik there is a couple decors already that make the lions "glow" but most/all of them cover up the markings (for example toxic embers or soulfire) 0 players like this post! Perhaps once a mock-up is presented then we could come to a better consensus? I personally like it as a mutation but kept super rare, but it would look good as a marking as well haha. 0 players like this post! Like? |

This Idea is really neat and if implimented the right way can become amazing. Much like the Halloween-esque lions we could do something with this BioLumi with the lions eyes, or nails. But Im not sure as a base since Pulsar is pretty much a 'bright' 'biolumi' LIKE base. BUT it would be neat to have them as eyes or extras like markings / nail glowing additives etc. :o 1 player likes this post! Like? |
