OOc Thread Here! In a time of Great Sorrow, the land of Pyrrhia is thrown into turmoil....The assassination of two of Pyrrhia's dragon queens has sent the land into turmoil. An assassin on behalf of the former NightWing queen slaughtered both the RainWing and the SandWing queens - hungry for power, the SkyWings and Mudwings allied with the Nightwings in the Queen's quest for more power, fighting against the Seawings, Sandwings, RainWings, and Icewings.. The bloodthirsty NightWing queen's reign ended with her death, but the damage had already been done; the war rages on. Hybrids are being slaughtered left and right, eggs are being stolen from hatcheries; every dragon lives in fear as the bloodiest war in Pyrrhia's history wages outside their homes. Meanwhile, there have been reports of scavengers killing more and more dragons each year - the creatures they had never imagined as a threat were starting to fight back against them. Desperate to save her land, her tribe, and her lover, an icewing/seawing hybrid, Queen Bermuda sought the help of a Nightwing seer. He foretold that only seven hatchlings, one from each tribe, could help unite the seven dragon tribes and bring peace to the land. How, however, he could not say - and so, driven to exhaustion, Queen Bermuda stole an egg from the hatchery of each kingdom and hid them in a secret place. She can only hope that the seer had been right- she is close to death, and the land she so desperately loves is close to going up in flames...… -------------------------- Rules-You can have as many characters as you like, provided that you can roleplay with them all. If you make one and then decide you don't want to use them anymore, we can find a way to remove them from the roleplay (ex: killing the character, chasing them off, etc.) -Please no animus characters. :) -Please ask before designating any characters as a princess, king, or anything similar if the tribe already has a queen. Please ask the person in question who is playing the queen. :) -The roleplay will start when we have all the prophecy dragonets. You can have more than one. -Be nice! :) Anyone is allowed to join this roleplay as long as you follow this rule. (hey, sorry for the silence! Been really busy lately, hardly had time to come on here.) Solstice studied the Rainwing carefully, noticing how she eyed Serac. She kept the smirk she desperately wanted to show back - she liked Serac. His attitude was very helpful at times, and the fact that he seemed to intimidate easily made her grin. Of course, at the moment, intimidation was not something that would help the situation, seeing as the Rainwings genuinely seemed to just want to talk, so she nodded to Sunshower's suggestion. "Yes. I apologize for the inconvenience." She stated, gesturing to her broken wing. "Otherwise I would be able to move this to a further location. For now, I think there is a cave nearby that would do just fine, out of the cold." 0 players like this post! Like? |

(When I have time later, I can totally type up a little summary thing on the OOC thread for you. I probably have to go back and look through everything so I don't forget something that happened lmao. ) Noticing the Rainwing begin to shiver, she picked up her pace, reaching the opening of a cave set in a nearby cliff face. It wasn't quite deep enough to shield them from the cold completely, but it was enough to get them out of the wind that had begun to pick up. She stepped into the cave, grimacing slightly from the pain in her still-injured leg, but kept it to herself, deciding to just stay quiet about it. Weakness wasn't something Solstice liked to readily display. She turned, sitting down, tail curling around her talons. "I would ask how exactly this whole...process of you becoming Queen came about, as you didn't challenge Daydreamer, but I suppose that is none of my business." She chuckled softly. "I knew her. "Thank you," Sunshower tried to block the images of Daydreamer's death out of her mind. "She had some sort of a sickness.. It was eating her away from the inside. As she was dying, she told me I was queen. She had never believed in the switching off of queens, and neither have I. It just doesn't seem right, you know? A tribe should have one leader until her death." She hoped she wasn't sounding too pushy to Solstice. "So, I've decided to make it how it's supposed to be. I'll be queen until death, and I'll have my own hatchery for the royal eggs, so I'll have heirs to the throne." The queen sighed. Serac nodded agreeably as Solstice took the new Rainwing Queen off for discussion. He tilted his head at Blizzard and crunched the snow with his talons, considering his situation. He leaned down to Blizzard, slightly cocking one wing to shield the from the faint wind and snow. He spoke softly, the sound of his voice harsh and cold even if his tone was an attempt on amicable. Solstice nodded gently, noticing that Sunshower seemed to be a bit upset when the topic of conversation centered on Daydreamer. "Do you plan on continuing the tradition of daughters challenging their mothers for the throne?" She asked, tilting her head. Quite frankly, Solstice was never much of a fan of that particular tradition, but she never stated that out loud. "Not exactly." Sunshower replied. "Once the Rainwing queen gets to a certain age, she will need to retire, and in doing so her children will compete for the throne. They won't fight, but they'll have a different kind of competition... Fruit Gathering, Flying.." This was the one thing she was absolutely sure of. Solstice nodded calmly as she listened. "Truth be told, if I could change my tribe's traditions on that sort of thing, I would do so." She admitted, frowning a little. She very much disliked the idea of fighting her own children - the idea sent a pang through her gut. "Are you aware of any recent events?" She asked. She wasn't certain how much the Rainwings involved themselves with tribes outside of their own when it came to any news. ---- Scorpius flew out across the desert, occasionally glancing at Koala to make certain he was still going the direction they needed to go. Last he heard, Daydreamer was the Queen, but he swore he had just seen a pack of what appeared to be Rainwings flying out towards Icewing territory. Rainwings didn't usually involve themselves with other tribes, as far as he knew. Perhaps something had happened? "I may need to let my tribe know what is going on." he stated, thinking to himself. He had been gone for far too long already. ---- Bermuda was becoming slightly impatient as she took to making her rounds about the castle, checking up on Seawings and dealing with smaller affairs. Overall, everything seemed to be going well in her absence, which was relief. She was more concerned with her daughter, and when she would be returning, however. She frowned, making her way outside the palace and perusing the grounds. if she was gone for too long, Bermuda would have to go out looking for her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"This is most troubling." The mudwing spoke quietly as she read over the scroll, which was tucked carefully between her claws. The massive female finally rose to her talons, unraveling her hefty tail from around herself. She extended out her claws and grasped at the scroll, crumpling it up. "Nightwing queen, gone. Sandwing queen, gone. Rainwing queen, gone." She shook her head as she lifted her foot, opening her talons and letting the crumpled scroll fall to the ground. "I knew I should've stepped in and supported Queen Nebula. A king? He will destroy his tribe." The dragon hissed out as she lumbered over to the other side of the adobe. "A king cannot rule a tribe. Males do not possess any compassion. Or intelligence for that matter." She muttered. Queen Egret stopped by the entrance of the adobe, slowly poking her head out from the curtains of the reeds. Her deep amber eyes glowed with a hint of honey gold. She lifted her head up towards the sky. "We will break our alliance with the nightwings." She decided as she slowly stepped out of the adobe. The queen was talking to nobody in particular, but it helped to rehearse her thoughts aloud before she brought them up to her council. She lowered her wings and sighed as she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. Her breathing rattled from both age and the many battle scars that damaged her throat and chest. She had chosen to align with Queen Nebula and the nightwings. Unfortunately, a shortage of food due to a plague had restricted the mudwings to their territory, malnourished and unable to fight. Their tribe had just recently recovered from the blight, only to find that their alliances had changed, and the world around has changed. 0 players like this post! Like? |
