Pride Nova


Pride Nova has fallen, Only a young Queen and her unborn cubs remain, its towering trees covering the dark blue sky once housed great kings, until an epidemic swept through the lands killing most of the lions within a 50 mile radius. Queen Azreila has called upon the neighbouring prides to let lions and lionesses know that she is looking for people to join her to restart her home. There are many ranks that need to be filled and many dens empty. If you are intrested in joining Pride Nova please bring your sign up sheet to the waterhole where her Queenship will greet you with open arms. Will Pride Nova become strong and prideful again or will it fall at the hands of the greedy lions coming to ruin whatever's left of there new home.

Land Description:

Half of the pride land is a giant forest with trees that hide the sky, the other half is grassland filled with many full watering holes where the unknowing pray comes to lap at the glistening water. Most of your time spent here will be in the grassland where the dens are but some of you will train in the forest fighting off unwelcome visitors. The pride is named after it's famous view of the stars at night, you can see many planets and even a supernova. Of in the distance is a great mountain where the kings go to greet their gods when the time comes that they must pass. No king's remains are left in the pridelands to be chewed by a ravaged hyena.

Here are the ranks that you can choose from, understandably not everyone can have the rank that they desire but hopefully there are enough ranks to please all.

Here is a quick note about the ranks and what they do.

King and Queen: They rule the pride making most but not all of the decisions for the pride. The King may have many mates at one time but the Queen can only mate to another if her previous mate has passed away.

The Heir: Is the lion that is next inline to be king, it can be female but it is rare. They must find a Queen before they are crowned or their mother will find one for them.

The Adviser: Advises the King and Queen and helps if a decision has not been made.

The Chief: Is in charge of anything war related and trains warriors.

Priestesses: They pray to the gods daily asking for a heavy bounty and blessings for the pride. They also aid the Queen and are by her side if they are not praying.

Warriors: They fight to protect the pride, they are under the rule of the Chief Warrior.

Healers: They aid pregnant lions through pregnancy and birth, they also have healing powers and can bring one lion back to life once in their lifetime. They may take an apprentice.

Submale: A submale patrols the land and scouts any enemy's. They are made King if the king dies without any heirs.

Lead Hunter: They train younger lionesses when they are young and lead the hunting party to bring back the biggest pray, they must be savvy and be the best at hunting in the pride.

Hunters: They hunt in groups and tend to live with their hunting party members. They listen to their lead hunter and hunt at least once a day bringing the pray back to the pray heap.

Brood mothers: They look after pregnant lionesses and their cubs. They have a tiny bit of healing training so they can handle a birth if no healer is present in the pride. They live in a den with pregnant lionesses and protect them from danger. There can only be one pregnant brood mother at a time, if their is only one it can be dangerous for a mother or a cub.

Explorers: They don't spend very much time within the pride and often are sent to travel to other prides to make allies with them, it can be a dangerous job being an explorer, a lot of the time there will be an exploring pair, but this is not a set rule.

Cubs and adolescents: They spent almost all of their time training with the brood mothers who protect them when their mothers are busy. Adolescents can start training with a lion who has the rank that they wish to get when they become old enough. If their father is a rogue they can become outcasts in the pride so the brood mothers spend even more time with them to keep them safe.

Rogues: They live on the outskirts of the pride, and are generally not liked by the pride at first as they are scavengers. They can join the pride at any point as long as they haven't committed any crimes. Lions that commit these crimes usually become rogues. Almost every character starts as a Rogue before joining the pride.

Please do your job in the pride, we are gonna need food XD

When you become an adult (2yo) you are welcome to seek out a mate, if you are a Queen or a sub Queen you may only mate to the king. If you wish to have cubs please either play the cub yourself or seek out another person to play your cub :)

Lions/other big cats can breed outside of the pride if they are not mated, but the cub will be given a lower rank(Hunter, Brood Mother)

All the usual roleplay rules apply!

No crazy op lions please :) everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

No killing inside the pride, unless that Lion/big cat has asked you to.

You can have as many characters as you like!!

You don't have to have fantastic grammar or writing skills (I don't) But your writing needs to be understandable please :D
