Pi was busy looking at everyone's applications, some people he took a bit of interest in. The feline yawned until the fox returned. "Pi, Mindy is here" He slowly nodded as he gestured for her to let the intern in. The usual check-ups done by interns were somewhat annoying, but Mindy was his only friend from the world down below. He placed the applications on a table and looked at his patio. He slowly approached it as he looked down. Some people said if you looked hard enough you could see him loking down at you. Kisha's ears picked up the sound of someone yelling, "THERE HE IS!" A crowd formed as everyone looked up. You could only see his figure casting a shadow as people began whispering and happily chatting. Kisha quickly paid before she walked over and looked up, sure enough she spotted him and raised an eyebrow 0 players like this post! Like? |

Milo found Kisha in the crowd. He looked up at the figure of Pi. To be honest he wasn’t all that impressed by it. ‘Well that’s kind of a let down...’ he thought to himself. As the glass doors swished open automatically, Mindy stared at Pi. Leaning close to the edge was dangerous! Hopping forward a delicate paw gripped Pi's wrist. ``Hey Pi! Be careful alright!`` Her usual scolding attitude seemed to be flipped by a switch as she tugged on Pi's sleeve. It was strange to Mindy that she was older than him, maybe it was the height difference or his seemingly mature features, but she didn't mention it. Mindy sometimes felt on edge because of the whole knowing the rebellion thing, so she acted like Pi's guardian. To protect him of course. Matrial arts would not go to waste! The thought of him being like family, even though he was special, made her smile. The bunny then noticed the crowd below, blue eyes widening. Her ears perked up as she removed her headphones by tugging on the wire. ``So that's what you're looking at huh?`` She felt kinda surperior over all these people, but the heights set her stomach in a twist. "Why cant i see the world below…why am I always stuck up here?" His expression grew into a sad look as his ears flattened, he could sense the questioning looks that made him feel…scared. His ruby and saphire gaze landed on Mindy, the rabbit's scolding didn't seem to help him at all. "Just a minute down there is all I wish" "I know what ya mean, but he's been up tthere his whole life! People praise him and he isn't even allowed to attend the festivals we hold. Mindy's fussy tugging stopped. She stared at him with soft eyes. After a hesitant moment, she leaned on him. ``If I could I would help you fly off to the outside world, you know that right? I know you're scared of the world but you want to see it.`` She leaped up to grab the railing as her feet dangled just a foot off the ground, ``Sadly we all have chains that keep us here.`` Her gaze on the ground looked at Pi's mismatched eyes, ``But I'd do whatever it takes to make you smile P! You know that!`` The silly nickname made her smile, along with the reassuring words she told him. She wish she could escape too, run from her problems. But she never saw what was beyond those walls. Our yearly memorial festival is tomorrow, I wanna meet the all mighty in peron" She grinned as she began telling people to return to their original plans, before returning to Milo. ``What?!`` Mindy's voice echoed into the sky. Her paws flayed as she nearly lost her grip on the rail. As soon as she gained her balance and her heart had stopped trying to hammer it's way out of her ribs she managed to speak. ``P-pi…` Mindy pleaded her voice to stop shaking like a spooked child, ``You know that's not gonna happen! You know the people at the top would have my head on a stick to scare off birds on a carrot farm if I did that!`` His pleading eyes made her sigh, ``Fine Pi. The day came soon then anyone expected, Pi was throwing his cloak on as he skipped into the lift. Just once had he gottan permission to leave. Once the lift lowered itself to the bottom her could hear the happy music, his eyes widening with joy. It was finally happening! When the lift opened the blinding light from outside made him shield his eyes. He made sure his cloak was well on, Mindy wasnt here yet...He had free time! Kisha had spotted him running out of the tower's entrance and running around. People gasped and some cheered as Pi grinned and waved. "Hi! Oh my, greetings! Oh thank you. No thank you but thanks for the offer" he made his way past the crowd and into the festival 0 players like this post! Like? |
