Look at this dumb crap. For the love of all that is good in this world somebody PLEASE beat my score in Fire Escape. Please. I didn't acquire said score with any degree of skill, just with a bunch of furious slapping of the spacebar. It was 2017. I was younger then. My reflexes were like that of a person 6 years younger than my current age. And I'm older than a good chunk of the Lioden playerbase so if I can do it, you can do it. Please, somebody. Anybody. This is not what I should be remembered for. This is not what I should be immortalized for all of time for. If I'm gunna be on any leaderboard, it should be the Grumpy Old Lady leaderboard. >( "There's Msasi," People should say. "That crazy old lady no one wants to get to close to anymore. You know. First person to beat my score gets ~~50 GB~~ ~~75 GB~~ ~~100 freaking GB~~ 125 glorious glorious GB (once the leaderboard updates and I can confirm you did, in fact, knock me down to Number Two). Easy peasy lemon squeezy. FREE ME FROM THIS CURSE IN THIS, THE YEAR 2023, PLEASE AND THANK YOU Some notes for 2023: * THIS IS THE FINAL YEAR OF THE CHALLENGE. There are a couple reasons for this, the main being that after all this time I do suspect that it IS an impossible score to defeat, lmao. Perhaps I just need to accept that this is my legacy and accept it. I sort of wanted my legacy to be sepias, but sometimes you just have to live with what fate gives you. * The prize has been boosted to 125 GB this year! Please beat my score and win it from me! * 2022 Msasi was once again a saint and remembered to buy Jolly Pose apps (or Msasi's friends were Super Cool People who reminded her to buy them). Huzzah! This means, as usual, a full set of poses will be awarded to anyone who is on the leaderboard with a 2023 score at the end of the event. If, like last year, there are no new scores added, I will add everyone who comments on this thread this year into a big ol' list and task a random number generator with choosing a few winners. It may be useful for you to comment anyway, as this being the last year of the challenge, I may do some other smaller giveaway things at the end of the month too. * Remember to hydrate and take time to rest your sweet, sweet eyeballs and spacebar pressing digits. And so 2022 ends as it started: with my continued reign as the undisputed Queen of Fire Escape.

HOWEVER, I am very proud of all of you and for all your attempts! I hope your attempts to win my GB has at least resulted you all earning piles of event currency! Now is the time to rest your sweet eyeballs and your spacebars. I may be cursed to wear this crown forever, but it never hurts to try again, so rest and prepare yourselves for a return in 2023! I am not sure if I will be able to raise the GB amount again, but I will at least make an attempt to squirrel away some extra between then and now, hopefully Future Msasi isn't too much of a slacker. :'D

On my last check of the leaderboard, it seems there were no 2022 scores added, unfortunately, and usually I gift a set of pose applicators to whoever put up a current year score on the board. However, 2021 Msasi didn't buy these Jolly pose applicators for nothing, so in lieu of 2022 scores, I have gone ahead and noted down everyone who has commented on this thread in 2022, and then tasked a random number generator with choosing two people! And those two people are:

And with that, I retire to my quiet corner of Lioden to continue my research into building a time machine, so I can go back in time and prevent 2017 Msasi from ever playing Fire Escape in the first place and de-curse-ifying myself.
