This is an official clan thread for the Recreating Extinct RLCs Clan! Recreating old, extinct Raffle Lionesses Welcome to the thread where I'll be keeping track of my project to make a true, 100% exact replica of an old raffle lioness that is now extinct! Feel free to reply to this thread, I'll keep the most important info in the main post.
What I personally define as an extinct raffle lioness I've chosen to specifically try to tackle RLs that there are no breedable clones left of. As long as there is still a breedable clone around somewhere I chose to not consider that lioness as a target, even if the account with the clone is inactive. To me, bringing someone back that it is physically impossible to get a clone of feels the most impactful. If i know someone can log on and "ruin" all my work someday, it's less motivating to work towards. Click me to be taken to the breeding guide! Good luck! Added you to the overview  Its been quite a tight contest between the sulphur and the anjeer- I was at first leaning towards the sulphur.. until i checked em both out in the wardrobe and did a pose test. The sulphur looks great in the neutral pose, but all the other poses... geez. i dont know what happened. suddenly she looks like, well, quite the mess. if you wanna see for yourself, here's a wardrobe link. the kind pose especially does her dirty- which is a shame, cuz kind is one of my fav poses. The anjeer on the other hand. Damn, she looks great with every pose! that kinda won me over. She makes all of them work. wardrobe link to her, too. so, in the end, im starting to lean more towards the anjeer :o im really nervous about the whole mane situation- i dont really want to use opal saltlicks, just cuz theyre super expensive and i'd have to use them on almost every breeding in phase 3- so thats like, easily thousands of GB. when it very well might pass naturally. but it'd be such a shame to have the clone born and missing the mane shape. But to try to combat that, im gonna focus on mane and try to get that sorted almost immediately. obv mane shapes can always fail, but from my experience, mane colors cant. correct me if im wrong on this ofc, but when i was working on the noctis, i ignored the mane colors of my lions since i knew i would just apply noctis in the end anyways. that resulted in the opal mane color spreading around all my project lions by complete chance. all of them had opal by the end- opal x opal always resulted in another opal. so hopefully i can get the same thing to happen, but with the correct BO color this time. 1 player likes this post! Just to add to this, mane colors have been very predictable in my experience! 100% pass rate if both parents share their mane color, 50% pass rate if they do not. Mane shapes can be a real nightmare in my opinion! Royal for example has a roughly 50% pass rate if both parents have a royal mane, and it only has a 25% pass rate if only one of the parents has the royal mane shape. Yikes- manes will be a pain in the ass for sure. The good thing though is that since its a combo mane, its not a deal breaker if, say a really good cub pops out with the incorrect mane. i can still apply a combo factor and have it produce more royal cubs- not as good as the royal mane itself of course, but it'll still work. I'm rootin' for you! I found that the "get the mane colour/shape+eyes+skin" phase of my project was always the most painful part haha. But you're totally right that mixing in the combo factors would help! Can't wait to follow along with this next project! 0 players like this post! Like? |

You could always just have the "combo mane shape" line if you end up with a near clone and then keep breeding for a "true line" For what it's worth, I think the sulphur looks alright in snarky pose, but certainly she loses a bit of the charm about her leg marks out of the neutral pose. the anjeer stands up to the pose variation a bit better though, you're right. ETA: small update for my first of two project RLCs (02.02.18) with any luck from RNG I should be able to king a cub with the four marks that have been giving me passing trouble which significantly boosts my progress~ 1 player likes this post! @quills The anjeer was going to be my next target after I finished this one(even collected most the markings) but uh I've found out that trying to get bo manes are like so painful  So the next one I do will uh not have a bo mane type so I wish you goodluck if you end up chosing her! I also like the sulphuric one as well! It blends very nicely but yeah poses can change markings quite a bit Also mane colors can't fail! Impulsively, I have decided to start another recreation for another, much older RL lady than the one I'm currently working on. Because breeding cooldowns are so lengthy, I have nothing to do while waiting for my lionesses to go into heat again to get more cubs that hopefully have more of the traits I need.  The new Raffle Lioness I'm pursuing should be done fairly quickly. She only has six breed-only traits, four being markings, one being mane color (easy to pass) and the other one being the base. However, since I won't be kinging any heirs and only using studs, it may take me a minute to complete. The king I've currently got has 4/8 of the breed-only traits I need for my current project and I purchased my side king about a week ago and have no interest in retiring him soon.  It'll be a calm, casual project on the side. Currently making the thread so it can be added to the compilation Quills has made. 0 players like this post! Thats honestly a great idea, having something else to work on while theres a lot of down time. I might try that too, but with maybe even older, simpler RLs from 2014-2015 ish? I think they would be fun raffle prizes for the clan! 0 players like this post! Like? |

@quills Yep! the only one I didnt manage to buy was chert panther, the rest of the markings(besides the applicator ones) I got from tc. They are currently on a frozen account tho otherwise id sell them to you 0 players like this post! Like? |

I honestly think that it's so cool that you're allowing this thread to also work as a rl recreation hub rather than just your own project thread, as it's super cool to me to see everyone else working on recreating their own raffle lionesses in the various stages. Also I just wanted to thank you for putting my project on the list, super excited to actually get a little bit farther in.
