Echo examined him. "Oh dear, that's a lot of thorns. Did you fall into a bush?" She gently turned him with a talon so she could have a better look at the thorns. "This will hurt just a little, okay? Don't worry, I'm a very experienced healer."

Though he raised them high his wings still hung low, obviously the thorns and loose feathers were weighing them down, Dante shook his head, paused then nodded. He had flew through a garden which might’ve had a bunch of rose bushes, he didn’t know that they had thorns and walked through them, resulting in the mess currently marking his back.
“Sorta, I flew through roses earlier”
He’d get nervous as they examined him. He knew it would hurt but them speaking it made him realize that this would be never ending unless they new how to pluck multiple at a time. “Ok..”

Echo pulled out her last bit of marigold; a small golden flower, and quickly mashed it up with her beak and talons. She applied a bit onto one talon and started plucking out the thorns, her movements quick and precise. It was clear the griffin had good training.
Echo dug out a thorn that had gotten stuck further in and quickly pushed some marigold poultice onto the wound. "You see, marigold will staunch any minor bleeding, and keep away infection. It might sting a bit for a while, but it's better than dealing with an infected wound, trust me."
The griffin continued pulling out the thorns.

Each thorn pulled felt like a pinch radiating through his back, but it oddly felt similar to when he plucked his own feathers during his monthly preening, his wings were delicate unlike her own. Hers were made to carry a large creature, with defined muscle and pure knowledge it’s base strong, his were just like a plain accessory.. just there for looks really. Dante would seethe before yelping in pain, oh how he wishes he didn’t go through those roses. “That’s definitely.. good.. to know, heh”

Echo pulled the last thorn out and added a bit of poultice onto it. Then, she swiftly bandaged the areas that had had the most thorns, just in case, and finally, dug into her satchel and... Offered him a wooden ball?
"Crack it open. Honey inside, helps soothe throats and melt away worries."
If a griffin could have a friendly, caring smile, that was exactly what Echo was giving Dante.

*I looked back at the forest noticing I ran far away from it. I kept trotting away from the forest now in the open. I looked around curiously letting out another distorted elk call which the call could be heard about 23 miles away. I waited a few moments before letting out another call. I kept walking alone in the dark*

There were aches but no more pain. His wings fluttered lightly after she bandaged them and tucked tight to his back when she handed him a ball and told him to open it? He hummed looking from her and down to the object, he wasn’t a fan of honey but if it helped him out he wouldn’t mind. The man sipped from the the object, drinking the honey slowly, her smile made him feel a bit more comfortable and his posture visibly relaxed though some tension was still present. Dante’s ears would flick at the disturbing call from the forest, momentarily frightening him as he jumped accidentally dropping the wooden object the griffin had given him. “What was that?”

Echo paused, her ears raised. Her fur had visibly fluffed out, like a surprised housecat's. "I don't know." She listened intently to the second call. "It sounds like it's in pain. I-I can't pinpoint sounds very well.

*She had been somewhat of an embarassment to her parents, both skilled and well-known warriors and trackers. Her mother had tried to teach her to track and pinpoint the place sounds came from. Her father had tried to teach her to fight. It was of no use. She was born pacifistic-Wú zhù, as skillless chubs were called, meaning helpless. It was a cruel griffin custom, one that branded those who couldn't fight or hunt well as outcasts in the western clans. Echo remembered her first view of the Eastern cities. Tiled rooftops and patios, colorful lanterns, buildings designed by someone who KNEW what they were doing. She had shed her old name, an echo of the lost, skillless chub she had been.
In the city, she was admired for her healing arts. Families asked her for advice on what to give sick chubs, came for relief from their aching joints and twisted ankles. The city was full of builders, mapmakers, philosophers, musicians, artists, and architects. She'd found where she belonged. Finally.*

Echo shook the memory from her head and turned to Dante. "Should we have a look?"

*Another loud terrifying call was heard but this time even louder then the last and way more eerie then the last. Almost as if the creature was getting closer*

Jade hissed in surprise at the sudden sound, accidently dropping one of the glass bottles, too late to catch it and watching it crash onto the floor in shards of glass. She muttered a quiet curse word in elvish and tried to clean it up. Cleo's feathers ruffled, letting out a loud shriek and looking out of the windows of the hut, her talons frantically tapping against the perch she was on. The sound came from inside the forest, whatever it was was probably near. The phoenix seemed to panic, letting out loud caws and shrieks whilst Jade tried to calm the fiery bird. The elf's ears pinned slightly, knowing she couldn't touch Cleopatra while she was in panic, so she just stood next to her and spoke a quiet spell of calming. Eventually the bird paused, the flaming feathers on her back settled as the Phoenix let out a quiet trill.

"Oh, greetings. I am... somewhat a traveling healer, and..." The griffin pointed her lion tail at some yellow flowers. "I saw you have marigold." Echo blushed. "I need it to prevent the infections of my patients, and... I was running low and wondering if I could collect a few. A talonful of blossoms is all I need."
