When your lions run, they are only available to be reclaimed for 7 real life days, and NOT rollovers. That means that from the day they ran, you have 7 real life days to claim them, and not many newbies take this into consideration, and the game is primarly focused around rollovers, rather than real life time. They assume that if they don;t rollover until they get the stuff needed, or until they feel like they can their lions will remain; wrong.

This information is on the WIKI, but as a newbie i never knew there was one, even though it is literally in the top right hand corner; i never saw it! And i never wanted to look at it unless i wasn;t getting answers from chat when I did discover it, as i figured it would be very confusing and disorganised like google's wikipedia. The wiki is relatively simple to understand, and you can search for things much easier there.

When your lions run, it is hella easy to forget about it completely and not rollover until it's too late, or you simply just didn't know. I have had lions run before, but not seen anything about it in a rollover message as I skip over giant chunks of information as due to my own reasons, my eyes just seem to erase it's existence.

So I want to suggest the following:
- In-game reminders in the RO message that the reclaimation time is real life days, and NOT rollovers. This should be included in the RO message every time a lion runs.
- In-game notifications like a patrol, on the very last day you can claim a lion. This should be at 12PM LD time so that there are 12 hours to claim, and another notif sometime closer to RO to remind you. Between 30-60 minutes really.
~ This can be turned off in the appropriate section of LD
- EMAILS! if a user doesn;t rollover for 4 or more days since lions ran, a small emal stating "You have lions that are running soon!" with some information stating how many days you have left. Typically, i would suggest this be on the very last day you are able to claim.
~ This is like the notifications you get in email from LD saying "Your lions miss you!" every few months. it's an automatic thing, and it reminds people when they are unable to come online, or simply forget.

The original post stated to change the IRL to rollover days, which has been brought to my attention in actual detail how it could be exploited and the idea has been scrapped. please read on from AFTER page 4 as that is where we changed the idea. - Thank you Rev (#33930)

Again, not everyone can afford to log in every day, be it for a multitude of reasons. Shit happens. Losing an entire pride because you couldn't roll over consistently enough to get resources doesn't help the situation. Yes, it is just a game, but as someone who has been playing for over 5 years now, that horrible feeling doesn't just go away. It takes a LOT to rebuild a pride.

I literally *can't* roll over every day, meaning I can't sit and grind for resources like SB and food and other things to sell. It's a nearly impossible cycle to break if you can't RO every day

@Fancy fork
Not much lion wise is selling well. I can barely successfully sell my G3 600+ started cubs for a couple hundred SB (Not advertising. Just using it as an example mods!). But folks are actively looking for fodder always. NCLs and lions of all ages.

I have 2 projects going on. 1 recreating a RL that was won but never bred so I get the joy of doing it from scratch. 2 statting up my side king so he's a major beetle sink. Last year I spent 5kgb on his tail. Didnt realize that until I added up everything few days ago from my log. Mostly by participating in the events, selling food, battling enemies for SB, etc. It's easy to get currency if you plan. Grind in February, August, September, and October alone and you're set. Don't be quick to sell your haul while it's in season. Event item flipping is easy. There's many ways to get game currency.

I think this is really good. I often don't have a lot of time to gather all the SB and I have to sell GB that I earn too, which takes some time. I agree with this suggestion. I remember I nearly lost my entire pride around two days ago because I couldn't scrape up enough SB. Even still, I am trying to reclaim lionesses, but this would be a good feature to add to the game.

I know, though i've been playing this for almost two years I just do it for the pretty lions and don't really plan/grind too much on specific events since i (barely) have a life outside of this silly pixel game
I don't have ncls but I do have a few fodder cubs? but I usually use them for fodder myself before actually selling them

If you're aware you can't rollover daily common sense says to make sure your pride is happy. Especially if you have a history of loosing so many members all at once. That alone would motivate a person.

@Lunar its great you can afford to spend 5000GB on a lion, but we can't. You're literally just presenting that you have a lot more and therefore don't have to worry about it when you lions run, you can just sell a couple of Gb and you'll be find and dandy, but we won't.

Grinding is exhausting, i quit the game for a few months after february every year because it EXHAUSTS me. Planning ahead for a month literally two months, or even half a year from now does not help the current when you cannot claim for lionesses. Even if i do it now, which i already do yearly and do it successfully, it does not help me NOW. It doesn;t help when i have lions who ran and i need the funds, but i DON'T have it.

@Lunar you're actually being really insulting right now. jellybean isn;t able to rollover everyday for personal fucking reasons and telling them to use common sense is screaming entitlement to me. Jelly can;t rollover for numerous reasons which they do not have to explain to you, but they are very much inconvenient to them.

Jelly spends a lot of time caring for their pride, but sometimes rolls over and then cannot fucking care for their pride because of emergencies in real life.

@LunarKnight

I am disabled. I will not directly state what disabilities I have, but I will tell you that I do not get to chose when I have episodes or not. There is no common sense about it. I literally can't plan when these episodes happen. And they frequently do interrupt my plans with lioden

But I should not have to point that out. Telling someone to use common sense is incredibly rude and I do hope you understand that.

Mass breeding is a good idea. Use NCLs that way you can sell the entire litter as fodder. Folks like to bundle buy. Less time and clicking. That's what I did when I was starting out. Focused on gathering currency before looking for permanent lions. Simply by hunting and selling my food I made my first GB the day I started. ^_^

I'd never ask you what you had to begin with. That's personal info I don't need to know since I'm not your doctor. When I first started keeping permanent lions I'd feed my pride and stuff almost immediately after rolling. I was a rookie and afraid I'd forget.

I've been playing this game for many years, with long breaks at times, and I certainly haven't always been able to afford the expensive lions that I can now. And it has most definitely been heartbreaking when I lost lions that I couldn't reclaim. I think we've all been there. This isn't a case of anyone flaunting what they have more than anyone else, or what they can afford to replace.

I will say that I'm choosing to not support this suggestion for worries about exploitation. Having those lions be reclaimable for seven rollovers means that somebody could lose their entire pride to low hunger, fill up their entire territory with other lionesses, and then freeze that account for months and months if they so desired. It's basically unlimited territory slots for 7 rollovers as long as you have the SB to reclaim them all in the end. Which some people do.

It's definitely frustrating to lose a lion, but to me, I think the alternative would be much more frustrating.

I think this would really help me I have ADHD and autism, l love lioden but I lost a lot of lions because oops I forgot or thought I feed them before ro. If we don't add this maybe lioden should add I 1hour before ro remind like the reminder for hunters or sub male Play troll

It would say something like this

Ro is in a hour Click here to feed, nest, & play with your lions?

Sorry if I didn't explain this well I'm horrible at typing

@rev that POV definitely makes more sense than the others. Any other POV has a counter argument, but this one honestly doesn't. I mean, most functions can be exploited. Got a hungry pride? Go offline for two months and the game sorts it out for you. Have lions running next rollover and need a mood boost? Use clan members or your own side to boost the mood everyday until it's safe.

I have said that it could be less rollovers, so say two or three, but the same issue presents itself. I would 100% definitely prefer having a message in the daily rollover that when you lions run you have 7 real life days, rather than rollover. As even if the wiki is available, not many go lookng there. I very rarely go looking there.

@G2 jelly that is a good idea actually! I like the rollover warning before rolling over that says "rollover is in 30 minutes, make sure you have time to do everything before then!".

This is actually a pretty good alternative. I would also like to see if maybe they'd be able to email users over it? Like on the last day of the reclaiming period, like how they email you saying "Your lions miss you" as it's an automaic thing i'm pretty sure every fews months or so.

I dont think the 30 minutes would be too useful for some people but I'm not sure
time zones are weird
and I wake up a while after rollover
