i really hope they open tier 3 for the end of january at the very least because i have so many lb and i really want to buy some of the decor :( i am still hopefully donating all the food i get but i know at the most we'll only get to tier 2

I dont really care for decor at all as I don't use it, but it's still frustrating to see the shop not even open to tier 2. I know there are other players who want it open and want the decor from it. I was donating a lot at first but it felt like there was no point, and now with how little progress it's made, I can see that I was right. Personally, I have no incentive to cut my SB profit from selling food in order to donate, especially if I have to pick up the slack of who knows how many other players that aren't donating. I can't speak for other players obviously, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's a common sentiment floating around other players who were donating.

That's been one of my own reasons, also. I get no real reward for donating. If the main shop didn't use SB currency, I'd be much more willing, also. I just think it's really weird they gave us an event with a shit ton of money making potential from carcass and meat scrap and bone sales that we can use to buy from shop, but ALSO require an obscene amount of rewardless carcass donations to open the other tiers.

It feels like they want us to choose between one shop or the other. But the meat is STILL required for both tiers.

Absolutely great points from all. I never bother much with selling food even outside of this month (probably should but regardless!) so the profit cut isn't something I ever really thought much about. I just knew some folks who sold would complain about stacks going for less due to the food pit.

Hopefully an overhaul will fix it. They tried something with the Treasure Hunting but even that isn't going to be tied officially to January anymore so like,, more fixin' please?

learning that pirate stuff wasnt a jan exclusive makes me hesitant. ochre powder prices will plummet and be as easy to get as opal saltlicks. but also that like, people might get sick of it, and it have an adverse effect on studs with those themes, or not be able to sell items farmed. iunno, oversaturation is a thing and i like that stuff are monthly exclusives.

They’ve said the treasure hunting will return through the year but in much more limited bites, such as a week at a time. Hopefully they space it out widely enough so there’s no negative value impact on those items!!

Imo I think it needs to be uses and not individual carcass. I don't like the incentive (Other than the boneyard/food pit ofc) idea people have been saying, though.

It is actually uses, they just didnt update the text. It says this in the pop-up when you go to donate:

"Are you sure you want to deposit this into the food pit? This will increase 1 point for each use the item has towards unlocking the area or the next goal. The item will disappear after it is deposited!"

I've given up on it fully unlocking. I just hope the staff will be nice enough to bump it up to the next tier. And not even for the decor. I just need to be able to feed my lionesses with 40%! I'm always broke at the start of February so not having to feed my pride right at the start is a big help.

Ugh, this. Fortunately, I've always fed daily so my lions are never below 20% (excluding cubs and adols I'm selling, they can starve) but I used to want a bunch of the decor...now my LBs just go towards giant torts. This would probably piss every (including me) off to no end, but maybe moving all the nice boneyard incentives to the last tier would push people to donate? Like, yeah, I'm guilty of just selling carcasses atp but like. Maybe that and lowering the percentages.

SOOOO LAME I've waited TWO YEARS for some of this decor at this point??? What's even the point of that decor EXISTING. Two years, mods, for some bone armor that I still can't get.
