She was considered to be one of the most beautiful lionesses in the pride, which sometimes made other huntresses jealous. Soul knew what kind of impression she made on others, and she never missed an opportunity to take advantage of it. When Rose first tried to befriend her Soul was just annoyed. Why was this girl so loud? Couldn't she shut her mouth for at least a minute? Soul, of course, was polite to this pathetic creature, but she made it clear that she wasn't thrilled with her presence. Unfortunately, Rose wasn't the smartest and apparently didn't understand the message. Rosie kept bothering Soul. Just when she was about to finally snap and tell Rose to leave her alone, Soul realized that this loud idiot could actually be useful... For some reason she was really liked by the pride, and combined with Soul's beauty and intellect they could be a pretty unstoppable duo... Soul decided to accept Rose as her "friend". She even started being a little nicer to her, but she was still careful to mark a clear distance between them. She didn't want to make this fool think that they are actually equal. Rose had to know that she can be around Soul only because she's allowed to. When Hawk took the pride's throne and controversy arose over his views, Soul didn't care. She had never been interested in the politics of the pride, and the new king's new rules did not affect her. She only became annoyed when Rose, as the mother of the king's new heir, began to be treated better. Everyone congratulated her and her son, and Soul took a back seat. Soul then became an opponent not so much of the king as of his successor. What did he actually see in this kid, Oleander? He was just like any other cub, he was just a little bigger and had longer fangs. The primal mutation didn't make him better than the others... Soul has set a new goal. She wanted HER son to be the king's new heir, the future ruler of the pride. She wasn't ready to have her own cubs yet, so she started to undermine Oleander's reputation... She pointed out the slightest mistakes and provoked conflicts. Rose must have noticed, because she soon asked Soul to leave her son alone. Soul answered that she's just helping him improve, which suprisingly was met with the king's approval. He wanted his heir to be strong and ready for criticism. This was in Soul's favor. Gaining the king's trust would surely make him more willing to choose her son over Oleander... After a few months of disturbing Oleander, Soul gave birth to a son. A healthy, strong lion. She began to teach him as soon as he opened his eyes. He was supposed to know what his purpose was. Defeat Oleander and become the next king. Unfortunately, it was too late for him to succeed. Soon Hawk lost his throne to Oleander, and Crackle couldn't do much about it. He tried to challenge Oleander, but no one took him seriously. He was still an adolescent, he had no chance against Oleander. But Soul forbid her son from giving up. She wanted him to train and grow, to try and challenge Oleander one more time in the future. Despite her dislike of the new king, Soul ended up having cubs with him. She hoped that maybe she could at least produce a heir for him, just in case Crackle fails again. Soon Soul gave birth to a cub, a daughter. To her surprise, she turned out to be a primal lion, just like Oleander! At first Soul wasn't exactly flattered with this information. She wanted to have strong, heir-worthy cubs, not some abnormal weird creature. But the second Soul realised that the birth of her primal daughter was seen as a blessing by the pride, her opinion changed completely. She couldn't believe how lucky she was! Such a special cub, and she was the one who brought her into the world!
