Atemi

Atemi is Kitunzi’s second cub in her third litter, her sixth child overall. Atemi looks a lot like her mother, and is named for the Greek goddess, Artemis.

Unlike Artemis, Atemi is far more interested in domestic pursuits than hunting: she adores cubs, and is a natural pick to be a broodmother. She delights in helping to raise the next generation, and loves all the cubs under her care.

Atemi is peculiar broodmother, because while she love cubs, and is very good with them, she never intends to have any of her own. When asked why she says simply that she got plenty of joy and satisfaction helping to raise her pridemates cubs. They were the same in her heart as her own cubs would be. Her family thinks this is a noble sentiment, if a bit odd.

Atemi inherited her jewelry from her Aunt Kona, who said it suited her. She was entirely right.
