| -LOCKED - Maintenance off and Rollback by 6 hours | |

Hey all, Some time this evening, Lioden encountered a hard drive fail on its database server. The admin team have been working tirelessly since then to try and correct the situation and retrieve as much data as possible from our daily backup. Fortunately we were able to restore most of the data back to this morning, but unfortunately we lost all your private messages, user logs and friend requests. The server has been rolled back to 2.53 am Lioden time February 4th. Anything past that moment is gone, thankfully that is not even half of a day of gameplay. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and will strive to right the situation by investing in new ways of doubling the protection of our servers. For anyone who purchased Gold Beetles today after 2.53am Lioden time, please send a message to Abbey (#1) with your PayPal Transaction or Receipt ID in text format (no screenshots or images) and she will work to restore your GB to you as quickly as possible.  EDIT: If you are sad that you lost awesome deals on trades, visited studs etc, check your browser's history and lioden links you visited during those 6 hours. I was half way through feeding my lions when it stopped and I needed to go out for the day(work) and only just got home as I am in Aus time so only 8.30 and had to roll over and a bunch of lions had run away, so annoying cause I only had the money to buy 2 back :( 0 players like this post! Like? |

Have the heart shells rolled back more than just 6 hours though? I clearly remember having 215 shells, now Im waaaaay back to 146.. I couldnt have earned 70 in just 6 hours?.. Bad servers! They rolled over a couple hours before official rollover time, is what they're complaining about. It's like logging in at 1:59 AM Lioden time and rolling over. You'll still have to roll over again at 2 AM Lioden time, even though you rolled over literally a minute before. I'm glad more wasn't lost. I personally waited until AFTER rollover to log back on, that way I didn't "lose a day" so to speak. Since it only had a few hours left, it seemed like a better idea. My lions didn't age without hunts, etc. No complaints for me. There isn't much anyone can do about a sudden hardware failure. Thanks to the coders and admins for fixing it as quickly as they did. 0 players like this post! Like? |

For some people in some timezone, it's like if we had two rollovers within two hours. We're not against the rollback, we're against the second rollover. Silverfish, I always have my rollover at 2. I do not live in Lioden's timezone. Then, I have my rollover at 2, play until something like 13, and then I have to go back to sleep and wake up when Lioden is like midnight. The server had already rolled back when I wope up. So, it's like if I rolled over at 2, did 2 hunts only, then went away for the whole day and went back only to roll over again. As a stat trainer, and someone who is trying to reach leaderboard with my heir, that's quite frustratring to lose a whole day of stat training, and "paying attention to rollover times" doesn't help at all. 0 players like this post! @Axel, @Laszlo, @Cytosine: Unfortunately we were not able to disable rollover for the day and we truly do apologize. However, the hardware failure could not be avoided, there was nothing on our end that was at the root of this problem, this was something that happened and was beyond our admins' control. :( We're very, very sorry for the day of progress that was lost but this is little we can do about it. Everyone has lost something from the rollback and we truly do regret that, we wish that we were able to avoid the whole scenrio altogether. :( @Verridith: We are unable to reimburse, replace, or return items that have disappeared as a result of the rollback. It is likely that you were mistaken or received those items during the time the site lost time - in which case that is to be expected. :( I am very sorry that you are missing food items! @Mad Hyena: Yes, shells that were gained in that time period are also gone, I regret to say. :( Guys, please be respectful and civil in this thread. We do understand that you are frustrated and upset, we are also dealing with the loss of data, but please be civil. 0 players like this post! Like? |

That's what I did, Silverfish. I know what time "my time" Lioden rolled over, which was an hour or two after it went up. So I just waited the extra two hours to avoid getting a "wasted" day so to speak. I waited until after 2 am Lioden before logging on, that way I only had 1 rollover instead of 2. 0 players like this post! Like? |
