Hey guys! So I've endeavoured to start off the new year by improving on my art skills, and I thought a good way to do that might be to draw some Pokemon! Pokemon come in a wide range of shapes and colours, with so many different animal/creature bases to work with. They're definitely good for practice in drawing different animals :D Thing is, I haven't really been into Pokemon since I was a kid, so I'm not really up to date with all the newer Pokemon ^^' So I'm looking for some help! I need some Pokemon suggestions! I've reached out on places like deviantART and tumblr but I don't have much of a following on either of those sites, so I thought maybe the members of Lioden could help me out! Just try to keep the suggestions down to one per person for now, yeah? I get excited over Pokemon too, but it gets a little hard to keep track of 100 different suggestions XD It's worth noting that I'm not super great at drawing machine type creatures, so let's try and stick with biological animal types for now ^^ Currently Working On: 1. Latias 2. Lugia 3. Charmander Suggested Pokemon: Murkrow (and Shiny) Shiny Umbreon Lairon Noivern Goodra Mew Greninja Tauros Raichu Lickitung Mightyena Having Difficulty With: Charizard X Persian (just the pose, I should be able to fix this later)  0 players like this post! @Starwolf~ Thanks a lot! I'm glad to hear people enjoy it even though I'm not sticking to the normal Pokemon style :3 @Malkia~ Thank you! I'm glad you like them~ And by no means am I saying I wont draw Charizard! I'm just saying that it was giving me trouble and I'll have to come back to it later. As a general note, I would just like to remind everyone that I'm doing these as practice for myself. My goal is to draw one Pokemon everyday, and if I'm having trouble with one I will move on to the next so I don't disrupt my flow. I am taking suggestions, but these are not meant to be personal requests for free art! So please don't get upset if I skim over your Pokemon. If you want to guarantee that I draw a certain Pokemon specifically for you to use, you'll have to commission me~ 0 players like this post! Like? |

When I hear someone say that aren't good at one thing and so want to practice another... I immediately want to tell them to practice what they aren't comfortable with. That's how we improve! So a compromise: Lairon has both a biologic vertebrae base similar to a rhino and some metallic, "man-made" feels. He's my suggestion for you. <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ooh, after a quick google search that Pokemon actually doesn't look that bad :0 I was thinking more along the lines of fully mechanized Pokemon, ones like Genesect. Genesect was actually the one I was thinking of in particular when I mentioned that in the main post, and if someone were to suggest that Pokemon I would probably have to decline for now. Truth is, I don't really have much of an interest in drawing those types of creatures. So I'd like to prioritise the ones I do intend to draw often~ 0 players like this post! Like? |

It also looks a bit like me right now as I fight off what's left of a case of pneumonia, so bonus points for that lol @Pairo~ OH NO, IT'S SO CUTE Ahhh, thank you so much for sharing this! (Arcanine was actually one of the first ones suggested, and currently my personal favourite of the one's I've drawn as well :3) It's nice to see so many others becoming inspired by this thread, and I'd love to see more PokeDrawings if others would like to share as well! @Albino Squirrel~ Thank you so much! All of your drawings look super cool! I love pokemon, it's been years since I found it and I'm still going. Now though I concentrate more on nuzlockes and the competitive scene. Will you take a chance at Greninja? It's a ninja frog with its tongue acting as a scarf, one of the coolest pokemon designs in my opinion. And it's special ability makes it a terror on the field. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thanks a lot! I've been seeing a lot of positive feedback despite taking the style into my own hands, it feels really good as an artist to know that people actually enjoy your own take on something popular :3 I'm familiar with Greninja only because of Super Smash Bros, lol. It's personally not a favourite of mine, but the name of this game is to practice drawing different things, so it'll be a nice change from all the canines/felines people have mostly been suggesting~! 0 players like this post!
