The idea for this is similar to Romeo and Juliet, although, there isn't the inevitable, horrible tragedy at the end. There is, however, a forbidden romance, between two lions. One, a male, who is the heir to his pride, a wealthy, powerful pride, too. The other, a female, perhaps heir to the queen, or destined to be the wife of the king, or the heir to the pride, which would be a smaller, weaker one, but strong nonetheless. It starts with our characters meeting as adolescents, and becoming friends. Gradually, they develop feelings for each other, as they grow older and become adults. They'd confess their love, and their prides would not be happy, as there could be a war brewing, and separate them forcefully. The war would break out, and the two lovers would have to fight. They, of course, refuse to fight one another, and run off together during the chaos, their love, and themselves, must then survive without their prides. "Why do you always disobey me! I'm to be the future King and you my Queen!" Kian was yelling at Milan. Milan had enough of all this. "I can do what I want and I won't be controlled by a monster!" She yelled. Kian, full of anger, sheathed his claws and hit her cheek, making three marks across her left cheek, bleeding. Milan looked at him, stunned he would do such a thing. "Keep disobeying me, and you'll be dead." Kian growled. He walked away and met u with his friends. I continued to walk to my den laying down. It was almost sunset and everyone was settling down to sleep. It had been two hours since her cheek stopped bleeding, thirty minutes after Kian. She was so excited to see Azisa again. Her cheek, stung, but was afraid on what Azisa might react. About forty-five minutes past and everyone is asleep. Milan silently escaped and went to where Azisa and her met. It took her five minutes. Once he was sure everyone else had gone to sleep, Azisa silently crept out of his den, and then out of the camp. He continued at that slower pace for a bit, until he was sure that his pride could not hear him. Then, he took off running, as fast as he could. He only stopped, when he saw and reached Milan, immediately going to her. He smiled as soon as he did, all memory of his father attacking him, and his pride's previous disapproval seeming to leave him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

When Milan saw Azisa, she ran to him, nuzzling him. She stared into his eyes and saw his ear. Her smile faded into horror. "What happened to your ear?!" Milan asked, nervous and worried. Someone attacked him. What if it was a pride member of his? What if they found out. Milan was worried about him, even thought she had a giant claw mark on her cheek from her ear to her lips. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"My father happened. Because I was out without permission today.." Azisa trailed off, as he saw her own wound. "Did Kian do that?" He asked, clearly at least a little upset by that. He looked at her in a concerned kind of way, frowning a little. His eyes showed mixed emotions. Azisa was happy and excited to see her, of course, but he was also upset, angry, that Kian had hurt her. Milan looked down."Yes. He got mad that i disobeyed him and said if I disobey him again... he'll kill me." She said quietly. With her tail between her hind legs, ears pressed against her head, she looked down. What if he kills Azisa too? Milan was quiet, very quiet. "He has hurt me before." She whispered. "He has scratched me ears and legs before, but never my face. Kian has pushed me down ditches and much more.He will kill me, he won't think twice about it. Azisa sighed deeply, sitting down in front of her. "Well.. I am worried. But I'm also mad, at Kian." He said, frowning. "He clearly doesn't know how to treat a lioness, especially if he wants you as a mate. Cruelty towards you will get him nowhere. Frankly, he deserves to die." He said, growling a little towards the word "die". "But, I won't be the one to kill him, if I chose to, of course.. I don't think I could kill another lion, no matter how awful they may be." Milan sighed. "I know but I've tried to tell everyone but they won't listen." Milan says. She nuzzles Azisa and licks him. She sits and looks at her paws. She is worried about Azisa. What if his father killed i? She couldn't live with out him. She feels a pain on her face where the wound was. It starts to bleed again, a lot. She is upset about this. She knows Azisa is worried about her. She wants her wounds to stop bleeding and to heal so he would stop worrying, but it gets worse. "They'd need to see Kian actually attack you. It's really the only way they'll believe you." Azisa said quietly, looking at her, mostly focusing on her wound. Now, his wanting to get her away from her pride was even stronger; she was not safe there. He wanted to protect her, keep her safe. He leaned forward, and nuzzled her cheek that wasn't wounded. "I'm not much of a healer, but licking your own, or another lion's wounds helps said wounds. It's helped me, anyway." He said to her, in a quiet tone. Azisa then proceeded to lick her wounded cheek, attempting to help Milan, even a little. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"I know.." Milan said quietly. She needed to leave her pride. Next time, she'll be dead. She nuzzles Azisa back and flinches when Azisa licks her wound. She knows he's trying to help and it's so sweet how worried he is about her safety. Milan began to lie down. She was tired but didn't want to go to sleep. Azisa sighed a little, laying down with her, curling his tail around her protectively. "We should sleep.. We'll probably have to get up early, to get back to our prides before they notice were gone." He told her quietly. He wanted to stay up with her, and talk, but it wouldn't help their situation if they didn't sleep. Milan nodded her head, resting it onto Azisa's chest. She wrapped her tail around him, feeling safe. She closed her eyes, and fell asleep. She dreamed of Azisa. But Kian was there. "You have disobeyed me for the last time!" Kian growled. He launched toward Milan about to kill her when Azisa jumped in front to save her. Kian attacks Azisa. Azisa killed Kian, but was bleeding. He laid next to her and said "I love you." He closed his eyes, and takes his last breath. Milan creamed, tears running down her face. She laid against Azisa crying. Milan wakes up screaming and crying. Azisa was dead in her dream and it scared her too much. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Azisa had fallen asleep a little while after Milan did, curling himself partially around her before he did. He was woken up, by her screaming. At first, he seemed panicked, thinking someone had found them, and she was being attacked, or something, his fur standing on end. Then, Azisa saw her crying, and relaxed a little, though he was concerned. "Bad dream?" He asked her softly, nuzzling her and licking her unwounded cheek a little, hoping to soothe her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Milan puts her face into Azisa's mane, crying. "Kian attacked you, you killed him but you died right after." she whimpered. Azisa dying was the worst nightmare she had ever had in her life. The only other nightmare she had was when she was forced of being mates with Kian. Unfortunately it was coming true. Milan cried into Azisa still. "It's okay.." Azisa whispered to her gently. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, anytime soon." He assured, licking her forehead. "Okay." Milan whispered. She was comforted by his tone. Milan laid back down and snuggled against him, wrapping her tail around Azisa and rubbing her head against him. She closed her eyes, thinking on what is to come tomorrow or the next day, but all she knew was, as long as she was with Azisa, she would be okay.
