The idea for this is similar to Romeo and Juliet, although, there isn't the inevitable, horrible tragedy at the end. There is, however, a forbidden romance, between two lions. One, a male, who is the heir to his pride, a wealthy, powerful pride, too. The other, a female, perhaps heir to the queen, or destined to be the wife of the king, or the heir to the pride, which would be a smaller, weaker one, but strong nonetheless. It starts with our characters meeting as adolescents, and becoming friends. Gradually, they develop feelings for each other, as they grow older and become adults. They'd confess their love, and their prides would not be happy, as there could be a war brewing, and separate them forcefully. The war would break out, and the two lovers would have to fight. They, of course, refuse to fight one another, and run off together during the chaos, their love, and themselves, must then survive without their prides. When Azisa said those words in a soothing tone, she felt better and the nuzzle made it better. Though she was still upset, he comforted her. She smiled at him and put her head to his. " You're so sweet." Milan said. her tail wrapped around Azisa, as she licked his cheek. Is this love? Maybe but she thinks it is. Her stomach rumbled. She was really hungry, but tried not to show it. "I have an idea." Azisa said, after hearing her stomach rumble. "We go and hunt, then find a nice, shady spot. Then, we'll eat, and then just nap and lay together there." He suggested, smiling. "That sound good?" He asked. He was aware that the longer he stayed away from his pride, the more of a risk he was taking. He knew if he was gone for a while, someone would come looking eventually, and he only hoped that his mother would find him, if anyone did, with this lioness. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"That sounds perfect." Milan said. Now that her paw is better, she could hunt. She got up slowly and looked around. No one was there. That's good. She started to run towards the gazelles. "Catch me if you can!" she yelled playfully. She was a fast runner, but Azisa could be faster. Milan was a very playful lioness. She loved to have fun especially now. As a cub, Milan always ran. Azisa smiled, as he got up, and ran after her. He wasn't necessarily a very fast lion, but he could keep up with her fairly well, staying close by her. He couldn't help but glance back every once in a while, making sure nobody from their prides was there, too. As a cub, even if he did manage to get out of the camp, he was too young, and too small, to really be able to run around, or maybe hunt things. Plus, his parents always noticed he was gone quickly, when he was a cub, so he couldn't get very far, even if he tried. But, now, as an adolescent, he'd been able to run more, and Azisa enjoyed it. He enjoyed it more, though, because he was with Milan, and running with her. 0 players like this post! Like? |

As Azisa caught up to her, she gave him a smile. He was a fast runner. As Azisa got close, she tackled him, pinning him t the floor. As she did so, Milan licked his cheek. As a cub, her parents never lost sight of her or her sister. The farthest Milan ever got, was this far. She never left the pride alone. Someone was always with her, whether it was Kian, or parents, or her hunting group. When she walked away earlier today, she was scared. There could have been hyenas, elephants, violent lions, and she was only an adolescent. She could only take so much, but now, as she was with Azisa, she felt safe. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Azisa smiled, laughing a little when she pinned him down, and kicked his cheek. He brought his front paws to her shoulders, as best he could, and pulled her down with him gently, nuzzling her face. He didn't think that he'd ever really been this happy before. As a cub, he didn't have very many playmates, since his father had high standards, and would only let him play with cubs of noble birth. But, Azisa was the only royal cub. So, he rarely got to ever play around. He hadn't even been allowed to hang around most other lions. So, this was certainly a nice change, love or not. 0 players like this post! Like? |

As Azisa pulled Milan down to him, nuzzling her, she nuzzled back. She had never been so happy since her sister died. But now, she was happy with Azisa. If this was love, what would they do? Their parents would never allow it. My mother might let her stay with him. She always told Milan to follow her heart and do whatever makes her happy. Milan's father is not the same way. He says pride before love. At this point she didn't care what others thought. She liked Azisa ans he liked her. Milan smiled and stayed on Azisa nuzzling him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He seemed to be able to tell what she was thinking, as his next words suggested. "I really, really like you." Azisa said, smiling. "We could run away. From our prides, Kian, our parents.." He suggested quietly. That would be nice. Too nice, maybe. He knew someone would come after them eventually, but he didn't want think about that right now. "But.. Milan stared at him. He wanted to run away with her? She was happy. She could eave Kian and her pride. Maybe they could start one of their own. Milan smiled. "I really like you. When would we go?" She needed to know. Maybe in a few months when they were adults. They needed to plan it perfectly for this to work. She licked his cheek and nuzzled him. She wanted to go. Azisa thought for a moment. When would they? He wasn't sure. But, he quickly thought of an answer. "When we're adults. Other lions, besides the ones in our prides, may be less likely to try and hurt us, then. Two adolescents won't make it as long as two adults." He said, nodding slightly, more to himself. "Let's meet every few days after this, okay? If we go everyday, they're more likely to get suspicious." He said. "That's perfect...but it has to be right when I'm two." She said quietly. "I am to be Kian's mate the day after I'm officially an adult." Milan hoped they could pull it off. She really liked Azisa. Azisa nodded as a response, smiling. "I'm sure two days will go by before we even know it. I know that we won't be apart for very long at all." He assured, curling his tail around her rather protectively. He smiled to himself, then. Azisa knew that he had to be good to her, respect her, and love her. He did not want to be like Kian, or want their relationship to be like his parents'; distant, practically hating each other. That was the last thing he wanted. (That's fine! Milan felt happy, and very safe as Azisa wrapped his tail around her. She knew she could go without him, but she didn't want to. She put her head to Azisa's chest and rested there. She knew she had to make Azisa happy, to love him. She didn't want to be like her parents. Never speaking just together to provide for the pride. "I-I-I." She stuttered.
