The idea for this is similar to Romeo and Juliet, although, there isn't the inevitable, horrible tragedy at the end. There is, however, a forbidden romance, between two lions. One, a male, who is the heir to his pride, a wealthy, powerful pride, too. The other, a female, perhaps heir to the queen, or destined to be the wife of the king, or the heir to the pride, which would be a smaller, weaker one, but strong nonetheless. It starts with our characters meeting as adolescents, and becoming friends. Gradually, they develop feelings for each other, as they grow older and become adults. They'd confess their love, and their prides would not be happy, as there could be a war brewing, and separate them forcefully. The war would break out, and the two lovers would have to fight. They, of course, refuse to fight one another, and run off together during the chaos, their love, and themselves, must then survive without their prides. Milan looked down, ashamed to have Kian as a future mate. He treated her right, but no one else. "Kian is...well he is kind to me and my parents. But the others... not so much. He, I guess, abuses them., making them do his every command. His parents are always saying how great of a king he'll be, but he intends on killing every cub once a King." Milan looks down wondering what the future will hold. "Ever since i was a cub, he would always "flirt" with me, and when he becomes King, he'll choose his mate. He is going to choose me." "He's probably just more or less using your parents. He may be genuinely in love with you, but he does not sound like a very nice lion and future king, so I doubt it." Azisa said, frowning a little, a slight bit of anger flashing in his eyes, though not for very long. "As for him murdering cubs.. There is no excuse for that. Cubs are young, innocent. They can't fight an adult lion, or fight back anyway, so they'd easily be killed." He said, shaking his head, and briefly shutting his eyes. "It's simply murder, and uncalled for, at that." Milan looks down, ears pressed against her head. "He's not in love with me. He only likes me because of my appearance not for who i am." She said. "He said the cubs need to die. I don't know why but it's so...cruel. I can't be with him but he's throwing my parents on a different road. No one will believe me." She said glumly. Milan knew the real Kian, no one else did. She looked at Azisa and saw his anger. She knew he wasn't happy about it. "The cubs will be eight months when he kills them, some new born. Who will be your Queen?" "Ah, he's that kind of lion? Despicable." Azisa frowned, as she further explained what the lion was like. When she changed the subject, he was not eager to continue that conversation, at all, so he didn't. "I don't know. I don't really have anyone in my pride who I'd like to be my queen.. I don't even want to be king." He replied, shrugging. "I'm sure it'll be decided for me, though, by my father.. I'm not looking forward to that." He said. (Great! Milan perks her ears up as Azisa talked. It's unfair how lions and lionesses have to be a mate with someone they don't want to. She could understand his point of view. "I'm not attracted to anyone in my pride. especially Kian. I prefer to not have a mate than be with Kian." Milan explained. She turned her gaze to his eyes. They were a crystal blue. She tilted her head to the side and flicked her tail a bit. She looked behind her to make sure no one was coming, then looked back at Azisa. Milan started to lick her lips. "Same here. I don't even really want a mate and cubs all that much." Azisa replied, shrugging, and flicking his tail. That was partially true. He wasn't necessarily looking for a mate, but he'd gladly have one, if he really did fall in love with a lioness, and she loved him right back. "Hungry?" He asked her, when she licked her lips. He'd only had a little bit of a zebra this morning, claiming he wasn't that hungry, but now, he was, and he supposed eating a meal with this lioness wouldn't hurt. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Milan could understand him. When Azisa asked her about her hunger, she perked up her ears and tilted her head with a small smile. "Yeah, I haven't eaten since sunset yesterday." She replied. She thought if she went hunting quickly, and if Azisa was hungry, they could eat. "Are you hungry? I could hunt for some gazelle. They are the easiest and quickest kill i can make." She asked. Her parents always taught her to share her meal. If someone was hungrier than her, to give her meal to them. Milan did that plenty of times, and went hungry a lot. 0 players like this post! Like? |

"A bit, yes. But, I at least want to help with hunting. I don't want you to do it all." Azisa offered, with a small grin on his face. He was at least respectful, to his fellow lions and lionesses, nobody could deny that Azisa was exactly that. He hadn't learned that from his father of course, basing such ideas over things his mother taught him. She was more respecting, and welcoming to all, so she had passed those traits on to her son. Plus, he did not like others doing work, even if it was just hunting, for him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Milan smiled. She liked it when he offered to help. No one would help back at the pride. If you needed help, you wouldn't get any, you had to do it all yourself. Not even Kian would help or her parents. Milan stood up. "Where should we go? I know where the Gazelles are. It's half a mile North of here." Milan said happy she remembered. She knew the way but forgot most of the time. Last time she hunted, she got no food. There was none left when everyone finished their food. He did think she was a pretty lioness, so at least Kian was right about something, no matter how awful he seemed to be. The adolescent male smiled to himself at that thought, as he looked at her. He glanced back towards his pride, sighing. Once his parents noticed he was gone, they'd probably come after him, and probably not be happy. Milan listened to him as he talked. Looking at him, she thought he was a handsome lion. The lionesses probably want to be his mate. I could see them trying to convince him. She started to walk towards the gazelles. "How old are you?" She asked. She liked Azisa and wanted to know him better. She smiled at him. When Milan was a cub, no one liked her much, except Kian. She had no siblings so she was by herself a lot. She was a quick learner and was very skilled at hunting. Her mother wanted her to take down a zebra by herself to prove she has what it takes to be apart of the hunting group. She took an adult zebra down within seven minutes. Azisa followed after her, walking beside the lioness, quietly worrying about what his parents might do if they saw her with him.. When she asked him a question, he turned his head to look at her. "A year and six months." He replied. "You?" He asked, giving her a small, warm smile. As a cub, Azisa was never allowed to even leave the camp, but he'd still done it. Now, as an adolescent, he did the same thing, going out on his own. He wondered when he'd get into trouble for it, as he hadn't so far. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Milan smiled at Azisa. They were almost the same age, only younger by three months. "I'm a year and three months." she replied. She kept walking when a thorn got stuck in her paw, giving out a small whimper. She tried to keep going, limping, but it hurt too much. She stopped and lied down. She licked her paw but it just got deeper. They were so close to the gazelles she didn't want to stop but she had no choice. She couldn't hunt with a big thorn in her paw. 0 players like this post! Azisa nodded, smiling, as she said her own age, taking note of the fact that she was just a little younger than him. He tipped his head to the side, when she laid down, before sitting down by her. "I'm guessing a thorn or something?" He asked, looking at her paw for a few seconds, before returning his gaze to her face. "I can help with that. "Really? Thank you!" Milan said. She had never gotten a thorn out before. She had only seen it happen once when her mother had a thorn, but it was easy for her to take out. Milan had never stepped on a thorn before. When Azisa told her he could help her, it showed how kind he is to her. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, but if her parents or anyone else from the pride saw them together, someone would be terribly hurt.
