He goes one step at a time, praying to Starclan that this doesn't go south. Freezing, the older toms ear pricks. Sunpaw swallows the lump growing in his throat. Even slower, one step in front of another, he is 5 feet away from cranky Shadeclaw. He evens his hindlegs, slinks down, and pounces. Only then did he notice that the current was high, which meant it was fast. Sunpaw just didn't know they would both fly into the river, and soon him and the tom would be lost.  0 players like this post! Like? |

She knew the leader would excel her if they found out the deputy and loyal kit were being drifted away till who knows where. She ran to them nearly catching up until she found herself and stopped. // Shadeclaw // RiverClan // Shadeclaw's ears pricked up as he heard an apprentice, by the sound of it, trying to sneak up on him. He shifted his position enough so that way he could get a glimpse of the young cat. Sunpaw. I should've known, Shadeclaw grunted as he saw the fluffy young apprentice's fur. Shadeclaw was debating on a punishment as he was thrown by the apprentice's weight into the freezing cold river. He gasped as he re-surfaced and managed to maintain a smooth rhythm. Further down the river, he saw the young apprentice struggling to keep himself afloat. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He didn't want to tell Ravenheart that he only knew the basics of swimming, he only watched his dad swim. Seeing Ravenheart running towards them but failing to catch up, he whimpered. She was like a mother to him. A wave of looks went past her as she burst into the camp and padded into the Leader's den. She took a deep breath as she thought of what to say to the leader. Ravenheart//Riverclan// After leaving the warrior's den, she gathered up a patrol and the 3 cats set off down to the river and followed the river upstream to where it took the two cats away. // Sunpaw // Riverclan // Sunpaw coughs, opening his eyes. He was on a log, still being tugged down stream. He sees a pair of ears in front of him, and mews, "Shadeclaw!" His pelt was pure water, and he knew he couldn't swim. A few pointed rocks he could spot in the distance. He pattles with his paw over to the figure in the water, and whispers he was sorry. He claws the deputy's ear, in hope of getting him to snap out of it. He holds out his paw, hoping for dear life that he will grab on, so he doesn't smash into the rocks. 0 players like this post! //Shadeclaw//RiverClan// Shadeclaw felt something nick his ear as he desperately struggled to resurface. He gasped as he filled his lungs with fresh air. His eyes burning from the water, he tried to get to the log, which was floating 5 fox-lengths away up the river and was getting farther away every second. "Sunpaw! Get to the branch!" He managed to yell out as saw an overhanging log with a bunch of sturdy branches. Shadeclaw reached out for the log and missed by a mouse-tail as he was swept further down the river towards the jagged rocks. 0 players like this post! Like? |

// Sunpaw // Riverclan // Sunpaw reaches for one of the branches, just barely catching it. He sinks his claws into the log, climbing up. Running to the right and onto the ground, he leaps as far as he could go to catch up with Shadeclaw. As he gets closer, he sees the toms head above water, which is a good sign. The jagged rocks were coming up fast. He was about to call to Shadeclaw, but a force knocks him onto the ground. He whimpers, looking up to see a mysterious cat with a burning in its eyes, looking right at him. "How many times do I have to tell pesky strays not to be on my territory?!" Sunpaw uses his hindlegs, shoving the rogue over. He scrambles up, about to go after Shadeclaw, when the rogues claws slice across his cheek. He could feel the pain burn, and blood slipping down his face. With all his strength, he uses his shoulder to smash the cat, and they went tumbling into the river. Ignoring the pain, he runs for Shadeclaw, and glances to see that he is almost through the rocks. 0 players like this post! Like? |

//Shadeclaw//RiverClan// Panic rising in his chest, he drew ever nearer towards the rocks. Dodging in between the jagged edges of the rocks, he let out a yowl of pain as he felt a searing pain in his paw. Shadeclaw looked and saw his paw caught between two of the rocks. //Ravenheart//Riverclan// As the patrol grew nearer to the two cats, the smell was overwhelmed by the smell of freshwater. Ravenheart knew they went this way but she knew they had to go further out to even get a whif of the scent. Ravenheart started to panic more and more but a loud yelp came across her. They knew they were on another territory and spotted some cats. Ravenheart and the rest of the patrol dashed down the waterway to get closer to the site. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He gasps for breath, coming to a halt as the dark tom gets tugged down again by the current. Looking back to find the rogue, he looks just in time to see him smash into the rocks, and blood spraying the rocks. No matter what the cat did to him, he couldn't help but whimper. //Ravenheart//Riverclan// Ravenheart finally reaches the river and jumps into the banks swimming with the current to which the two cats went. She dodged huge rocks and branches in the way and started swimming underwater until she had enough. After all was said she started to grow tired but when she thought about resting a huge mountain of pointy rocks stood in her way. At this moment, life or death was the aftermath. She was swept underwater and was being pulled by the force. At that moment she finally got her first sign of scent from Sunpaw and Shadeclaw. She went above water and leaped onto the ground next to her scraping her leg against the rock. She yowled but knew what could stop the bleeding from what she learned from the medicine cat. She put some webs on it quickly then went scouting ahead until she found a cat lying on the rocks. She went closer to find the rogue cat that ruled these parts, she nodded down and went ahead sprinting and following Sunpaw's scent 0 players like this post! Like? |
