Froststar watched him for a moment, weighing his words and whether or not to trust him. He seemed too nice for her liking, she hadn't once met a loner that was so interested their clan, that hadn't had other intentions. But as much as she didn't like to admit, they would need all the paws they could get with the upcoming winter. She needed to consult with her deputy to be sure of the lingering thoughts in her head. But for now, she would see what would happen. She looked at him for a moment longer, before standing up, and turning back towards camp and starting towards it, flicking her tail, at Eaglescar and Scorchheart. "Bring him back to camp, I will need to speak with you Eaglescar to speak of these new developments. Scorchheart, watch him until I decide what to do with him."

Crag sit down, his tail wrapping around his paws. He had seen the weighing in her eyes, and he felt as though he had made an impression, even if they didn't know what that impression was. He hoped he would be allowed to help. Another though occurred to his mind. Will they let me join them...? Is that something I want? He thought of this, trying to think things through. He would no longer be able to travel where he wanted, but he would be able to explore something so new to him. He sighed inwardly, looking at Scorchheart, who was to guard him, and Eaglescar, who would help decide his fate. I suppose I should save those thoughts for when it comes up, if it does. Crag decided, allowing the subject to die down in his mind.

The male listened to Froststar and nodded respectfully. Once the female left, Scorchheart sighed heavily and sat with Crag. He felt kind of awkward. He turned to him, and debated some seconds whether asking him or not.
"So, are you a softpaw?..." He questioned curiously. In all day, he had been rather either grumpy or busy, but now he wasn't doing anything and Crag didn't look as a major threat. He was in the leader's den after all. "I haven't seen you around here, ever. So, i suppose you followed a twoleg and got lost...?"
He moved his head to watch the den's entrance, and lowered his eyebrows. "Nevermind. I think Froststar will be angry with me if i talk to you."

Eaglescar watched his leader as she thought about what to do with Crag. He could tell that she was having a mental debate of sorts. When she stood up and spoke, telling Schorchheart and himself to bring the loner to camp. When Froststar said she needed to speak to him he got worried for a few seconds, but then remembered he was deputy now. He rolled his eyes at himself, mentally, and slightly shook his head. He rose to his paws and looked at Scorchheart then glanced at the loner. "I assume you can handle him, Scorchheart?" He was genuinely asking. Eaglescar hoped that Scorchheart didn't take offence to it for any reason.

Ravenpaw wondered what was going on in Froststar's den. There didn't seem to be any sounds of fighting, which was good. Maybe Froststar would consider letting the tom join, but would he be a good addition? He seemed too friendly, and he was already acting like he knew everything. She laid down, wondering what to do next.

"Huh? Softpaw...?" He began, trying to ignore the last sentence, and then realized what he meant. "Oh! Oh, no." Crag chuckled, lifting a paw calmly and flexing his long claws. He then sheathed them, ears perked. "Also, I haven't lived with twolegs. I did live in a twoleg-place before, but only in allies. All of us came and went, and..." He paused, as if thinking back to rough times. "I left, too." Crag simply stated before breathing deeply.

Froststar sighed as she padded towards her den, she felt old, like she was many many moons old. Her paws felt like they were dragging, along with her tail. As she entered her sand lined den, and padded towards her nest before laying down, waiting for Eaglescar to enter as well.

Eaglescar was going to wait for Scorchhear's reply but he realized Froststar must already be in her den. He slightly shook his head then quickly brought himself to her den. He cautiously walked in, slowly, and saw her laying down in her nest. He walked closer to her and sat across from her, watching her. As he looked at her face he realized how much older the she-cat was getting. He could see the moons of stress of being the leader starting to take its tole on her.

Froststar sighed as she watched Eaglescar settle down, gathering her thoughts before speaking, "These last few moons have been hard."" She paused, her tail flicking. She looked at him again, studying him, almost scrutinizing him, before looking away, and mewing, What is your opinion on the situation?"

Eaglescar's ear slightly twitched when he heard her sigh. When she said that the past few moons have been hard he agreed full heartedly with her. There is no doubt in his mind that any of the other clans, if they had to go through what his clan has, would feel the same way. However, he couldn't ask for a better leader to be going through these hardships with.

When his brain processed that she had asked what he thought about the situation he sighed quietly then looked back at Froststar. "I don't really know what to think. We don't have anything against him to not let him into the clan but, a few of the things he has said seems a little... off to me. Specifically that he knew we could use help and he knew where our, temporary, camp is." He stopped and glanced at his paws then looked back at her, waiting for her to think about what he had said.

Froststar nodded slightly as she listened to Eaglescar, it was true that this loner arriving was alittle convenient. Too convenient, if you asked her. But, she thought as she looked down at her patchy furred paws, maybe if inviting him to stay, they could keep an eye on him. As she had heard the leader former before her, keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer.
She hummed quietly as she thought, trying to be quick but also wanting to think things through, she knew that the decision she made would change her clan, one way or another.

For what seemed like hours, but was only a fees minutes, she had made a tentative decision, concerning the strange loner. She looked back up at Eaglescar, before speaking, "I've come to a decision concerning the loner. I've decided that it would be better to keep an eye on him, rather than turn him away. I'm going to have Scorchheart watch him, a temporary apprentice, so to say. Would you mind fetching them for me? I'd like to speak to them in him, so we have no listening ears."
