"Hey Sagepaw, how was camp?" Bluepaw asked the apprentice who has come to greet her.

FrogPaw squinted lazily up at the foriegn she cat, whiskers and nose twitching. One of the many, many casual greetings passed her lips semi-consciously as she took in the new cat. Weirdly, the cat's scent seemed almost familiar to her, though she couldn't put her paw on exactly what or why. Blinking to a more awake state, the pale ginger apprentice asked, "What are you doing here, Miss ? What clan are you from ?"

"Eh, just boring and quiet. But who cares about that, how was the gathering?!"

"Well.." The small she-cat looked around nervously," Darkstar gave news, which went well. Then some strange cat from Windclan said she was the leader, although that made Darkstar angry. Then we had to leave as he said that they were ignoring the warrior code. I think thats all that happened"

Sagepaw's ears folded back a little. "That's... odd." He mewed concernedly.

Mistela opened her eyes as the apprentice spoke to her.
"I was in the area, and your leader helped me shake a few rogues. I am not from a clan though.." She smiled at the young cat, not being around young ones often.

Bluepaw put her head down on her paws, exhausted from the stressful gathering.

Sagepaw curled up in the nest next to Bluepaw, getting the message she was tired.

The pale apprentice nodded thoughtfully, though a little too dramatically in the same motion, patting her webbed forepaw against her chin, "Interesting, interesting..." FrogPaw purred before stating with complete belief, "So you're a fuzzy-wazz kittypet then. Funny, I didn't think kittypets knew how to run, or fight anything other than feathers." She smiled innocently before continuing, "Surprising DarkStar allowed you to stay. He's been pretty weird about even his own clan for the past moons. Hmmmm."

"Hey, I'm not a kittypet. I have never had a home before." What was this cats problem? She didn't do anything to agravate her.

Picking up on the defensiveness of the cat's tone, the apprentice's whiskers twitched as she spoke up on it. "Oh you're not ?" FrogPaw tilted her head with an expression more for confusion than of apology for a moment, before a big, dumb grin spread over her muzzle as she laughed awkwardly, "I'm sorry, it's just.. uh.. your uh.. your fur, yeah. It's just so clean and soft looking that I thought surely.. um" She trails off, ears slightly lowered as the pale she cat glances behind herself into the camp centre.

Darkstar

Darkstar opens his eyes, getting up. Padding out into the clearing, he takes a bird from the fresh kill pile, sitting near his den. He crouches, slowly eating the cold carcass.

Mistela (I am going to call her Tes from now on, just so it is easier to write. But other cats know her as Mistela.)

Tes looks down at her fur with a strange look on her face. Then she glances back up at the pale cat. "Thank you?" She laughs nervously. Why was she looking at my fur?
