Kay sighed boredly from where she lay- positioned upright and on her underbelly- amidst a shadowy forest. Musky light shone down through to the forest floor in faint amounts, reappearing and disappearing due to the light breeze that inspired the branches to creak and shift. Head resting on paws, the hunter watched these spots of light with dull interest. Without warning, a swift sounding gust lit all the she-wolves senses on fire, her gaze instantly snapped to a passing corrupt spirit. She glared at it, though she must have seemed far too lethargic at the time to be heedful of, since the spirit didn't sway in its course, instead brushing past her on its way. Kay growled lowly and flopped onto her side, looking after the spirit irritably.

Ears forward and alert, Blaine padded back into camp after a lone patrol. He sat at the edge of the clearing and watched the wolves of his camp interacting with faint interest. The shaman writhed, still stuck in a brier patch. This was getting very annoying, He did want to get home, and hanging in a patch of briers for the next forseeable few days would not help. The shaman closed its eyes and focused, channeling destructive and dark magics with each breath they took. The briers caught on their matted and flyblown coat started to darken, as if stricken by a mold.

Within a minute, there was a soft snap, the plants breaking off as their vines decayed. And now, Revenant was free. The Shaman huffed, noting it had a new addition of dead briers in their coat.

Myth sat up and started to groom herself. Her pelt was thick with mud and blood from the previous hunt. She glanced over and saw the dear carcass rotting in the center of the camp. She growled to herself, wondering what tainted wolf had eaten from the doe to rot it, then stood and paced over to the carcass. Where the alpha female placed her paws darkness grew. Shadows emerging from the depths of the earth where she stood. Gently settling down, Myth took a few bites of meat from a clean spot on the carcass, snarling in disgust when the meat dissolved into shadow in her mouth. She stood again then paced to a sunny spot in the camp, a rare appearance in the swamp she lived in.
