heya!!!!! Just wanted to say that you really inspired me to get into felting and I just finished my first project [click me + and me too ] a few days ago as a gift for a buddy!! : D I really enjoyed working on her and it was a really great experience, I'm definately going to continue felting. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful craft : D ❤️❤️❤️

AND! I was wondering if you could share your secret to how you do your class eyes and attach whiskers? Do you weave them in with the felting needle ? Or glue em in? Also, do u make most markings out of lil strands of wool, or can you "sew" in pieces of thread to make really tiny line/stripe marks? ;; O ;;

@moth OMG that baby is ADORABLE!! You gotta show me the other stuff you make too

ok so
1. I do the eyes by making the shape of the head with a hole in it for the eye to go in.
2. I then put the glass eye in and put wool over the top of the eye completely, but in a circular motion following the edge of the eye.
3. I push back using the needle from the middle of the circle towards the end of the eye to make eyelids.

These eyelids function just like our eyelids in that they help keep the eyeball in place! I do not use glue so you can squeeze the eyes out if you really wanted to.

1. For the whiskers, I bought a reel of fishing line.
2. I cut the line at about 8 inches long or so, but you'll get the feel for it once you actually do it.
3. I put one end of the line through a standard needle (not a barbed one) and tie it off.
4. I poke the needle through where I want the first whisker to be, and pull it through to the other side of the face.
5. I then loop around and poke a hole on the other side of the face very close to the exit point so that it looks nearly like it's not there, but still far enough away that it makes a strong anchor point.
6. I then pull the needle through to the first side wherever I want the second whisker to be.
7. I trim the fishing line and now I have 2 whiskers at whatever length I wanted on one side of the face.
8. Repeat on the other side of the face and then as many more whiskers as you want to add from that point.

I make most of the markings out of wool, but you could try using cotton thread to sew in small markings. I find that thread disappears in a felted plush though.
