The sun filtered down through the dark canopy above, dappling the ground with a soft light. Silent paws padded through the forest, careful to avoid any twigs or rocks that would alert prey to the she-cat's presence. If that happened then this hunting trip would be pointless. Sleek black fur rippled over lean muscles as the young warrior moved through the underbrush, her muzzle in the air, trying to catch the scent of any prey nearby. Slightly pointed ears flicked as the rustle of a bird's wings reached them. With a small chirrup, Ashfrost crouched down, moving forward as slowly as possible. Just ahead, in a clearing, a robin sat. It pecked at the ground, completely unaware of the predator stalking it. Dark blue eyes narrowed, focusing in on the plump bird. Keeping her tail perfectly still, the she-cat waited until the robin's back was turned, and then pounced.

Only minutes later, Ashfrost trotted proudly into camp, her jaws full with her quarry. It was hard for her not to eat the mouse that was teasing her tongue. Ignoring her hunger, she hurried over to the fresh kill pile and dropped what she had caught onto it.

Brazenflame| Male| Warrior| Mentions: Open!

The sound of heavy breathing could be heard deep within the forest. Not too far from camp, a sand pit had eaten away at the ground, leaving a great place to train. Since the ground was soft, it built up strength as well as protecting the apprentices from getting hurt. Inside, a huge tom could be seen, his thick golden fur dappled with darker brown rings. Large paws hit the sand with tremendous force, enough so that a big cloud of dust lifted into the air every time he jumped. Brazenflame could often be found in the training hollow, honing his warrior skills and battle moves. This time he was being particularly thorough, even going so far as unsheathing his claws. Maybe he was paranoid, but Brazenflame didn't think slacking off was a good idea. After all, he didn't have an apprentice to train, so focusing on himself was the best he could do. Pinning his ears as he came to a stop, the overzealous young warrior let out a growl that would intimidate even an opponent that matched him in size. Though he was strong, Brazenflame had some flaws that he was still trying to get rid of. His speed for example, was not the best. Due to his immense frame, the tom had trouble keeping up with some of the leaner clan members. Letting out a sigh, the large male settled down, curling his tail around his paws so he could catch his breath. Emerald eyes scanned the edge of the hollow, alert and bright.

Houndstar tuned out of the young cats conversation as it got personal and looked around. He saw Shadowflame playing around with the kits and chasing them while they laughed. He let out a small chuckle and then something else attracted his attention as Ashfrost padded into the camp with a mouse in between her jaws. He smiled at how abundant and thriving his clan was. By the time he had gotten a good look at everything that was going on, the young cat's conversation was over and they were talking to Aquapaw. "Yes, very good catch in deed, Aquapaw," He rumbled with a gentle look in his eyes as he walked up and sat beside Sunpaw and Tigerpaw. He enjoyed giving out praise when it was earned and not taken for granted.

"Thanks! I thought Darktail would be back by now he took me out training then we went hunting I just thought he would be back by now I guess. He will probably be back soon right?" Aquapaw let out a long sigh after saying so much then settled down on the ground and looked around the camp.

"I believe so," He replied, a tiny bit of worry pricking at his paws at the news that Darktail wasn't back yet. "Besides, Darktail can handle himself." He had grown quite fond of all the apprentices and he was pretty sure that Sunpaw would be no different than Shadeclaw had. He felt very uncomfortable thinking about Shadeclaw, his former apprentice who left the clan to be a rogue. He wondered what he was doing right now. Houndstar hoped that Shadeclaw was safe and alive.

Darktail - Deputy - No one - Near Riverclan border

" I know I shouldn't be doing this." He said to himself in a whisper. He slowly crept closer to the border as well as the fourtrees he was going to follow the Riverclan border all the way to the four trees. He was going there to meet a cat from Riverclan but it was secret. He had buried the vole he caught earlier and was on his was sunlight streaming through the trees onto his back.

"Umm... near two-leg place." Aquapaw got nervous and started kneading the ground with her paws. " If he wanted to her could be far away from there by now he's pretty fast." She then stood up and said "can I come?" She really wanted to help she knew it was unlikely for Darktail to wander off and not say what he was doing.

He was uncertain for a few moments, then he nodded to Aquapaw and then started towards the camp entrance. He bounded out of the camp, making sure that Aquapaw was following him. Soon, they reached TwoLeg Place, where Houndstar picked up Darktail's scent. "He was definitely here," He mumbled, slowing down to follow the scent trail.

Darktail - Deputy - No one - Near Four trees

"Hmm... she isn't here yet. Oh wait I forgot we weren't meeting today. I should get back to camp they are probably looking for me by now." Darktail walks slowly back to camp as he smells Houndstar and Aquapaw. He decided to hunt so he didn't look suspicious. He wondered away from them and smelled a sparrow he wasn't thinking completely on it and missed darn it!

" Houndstar I'm going back to camp now I want to see Sunpaw and Tigerpaw I will see you later!" Aquapaw got up and started walking back to camp. She got near snakerocks and smelled something and made a note to report it later. When she got back to camp she went to lay over by the apprentices den and took a short nap. "Hello? Where am I? Hello? Woah!!! Ouch! Help I fell in the river oh hi who are you?" She awoke in a sweat "woah what was that?" then she got to her feet and sat in the clearing " Hey Sunpaw! Come here!"

The tabby apprentice decided to go ahead and take a walk by himself. It seemed he wasn't needed which was fine, he guessed. The amber eyed cats sighed and walked forwards, looking around, his amber eyes scanning almost every corner of the territory. The 8 moon old apprentice just couldn't keep his mind off of his old clanmates... Moonpaw, Nightpaw, Icepaw.... The tom sighed and flattened his ears. They were in StarClan now, the most amazing place a cat could ever be in. Tigerpaw frowned lightly and perked his ears, tasting the air. He decided to start hunting.... The clan needed food and he was a good hunter, he was better at fighting but he was kind of good at hunting too.

Aquapaw - Apprentice - Tigerpaw - Camp/forest

She soon saw that Sunpaw wasn't there so she looked for Tigerpaw. She soon picked up his scent trail and followed him. He was always going off by himself. She soon found him he looked sad. She knew him and Sunpaw had had friends that were gone now Moonpaw, Nightpaw, and Icepaw I think... "Hey" she said quietly not to scared him. Then she said in a normal tone "Tigerpaw I know you are sad about those other apprentices Moonpaw, Nightpaw, and Icepaw... I never met them but I know you were close to them... You know my brother, sister, mother, and father died when I was 4 moons old right? Well I think about them all the time I really miss my brother Seakit and my sister Silverkit. I won't ever forget them but I can't live in the past all the time but sometimes I wonder what could have been. Starclan probably has something important for us and that is why we are still here. Just don't be sad all the time ok. Oh can I hunt with you?"

Tigerpaw / Warrior Apprentice / 8 Moons / Mentions: Aquapaw.

The tabby tom perked his ears and turned around, glancing at Aquapaw. "Hello." He meowed simply as she greeted him, then raised an eyebrow before frowning. "Yes, I'm sad. We lost almost every cat. Everyone is sad though." He muttered before he listened to the she-cat's story. He nodded and stood up on all fours, padding to her. "I'm sorry, Aquapaw, you were only 43 mons old..." He muttered and rasped his tongue across her ear in a friendly manner before he walked away then turned around, smiling slightly. "Sure. You're a good hunter." He muttered, starting to walk forwards, perking his ears and tasting the air for any prey near. He noticed there was a vole near by and dropped into a hunting crouch taking all of his weight weight into his haunches so that his paws have no impact on the forest floor. He pounced on the vole when it was close enough kill it with one swift bite to the neck. The amber eyed tom picked up the plump vole and sat down, wrapping his tail around his large paws.

Aquapaw - Apprentice - Tigerpaw - Forest

"Nice catch I'm gonna get something then go back see you!" She jumped into a bush and walked away. Soon she was by the training hollow she smelled Brazenflame there but didn't bother him and kept walking. She soon found she was at two-leg place again. She wondered if there was something drawing her here this was the second time today she had come to two-leg place. Soon she smelled a Wren and dropped down and crept forward. She got close and leaped she got it by the end of it's tail and killed it. She gave her thanks to Starclan and started heading back to camp with her catch.
