The female growled playfully as he swung his head from side to side, and as he tumbled she let a triumphant yip escape from her jaws. With lips folded over her fangs she swung her tail side to side, releasing her hold on Su's leg when he leaped up. She shook her head, sending tendrils of saliva from her open mouth, then planted her butt into the dust and allowed her tongue to hang out the side of her mouth. At his words, however, her playful grin vanished, replaced by a maternal and worried expression. "Well, Suyian, you're daddy's going to get us all food!" She yipped, trying hard to keep her tone upbeat and happy. "He's not going to see Mommy, she's-" For once, Maz was at a loss for words. "-asleep!" The female completed. "She's asleep, and we don't want to wake her up." She hoped to eradicate the pup's desire to follow his sire by leaping up and wagging her tail, muzzle pointing in the opposite direction of the rapidly fading figures that held her charge's attention. "C'mon Su! Let's race! I bet I can beat you without even trying hard!" She challenged, in a ditch effort attempt to draw Suyian away.
