Sitting outside her den, Starkclaw silently groomed her short pelt, tail flicking in annoyance as she listened to all the cats bicker about what had happened to the kit that had been kidnapped earlier on today. Starkclaw scoffed. If it wasn't for Shadowclan's lack of warriors, all those rogues would be running in terror and knowing not to mess with Shadowclan, but, ever since the new leader took over, there had been more rogues in their territory, stealing prey and kits like they were trophies. Standing, Starkclaw looked around, dark sage eye's soon landing on Jynxstar. One part of the medicine cat wanted to chew her out on how poorly she watched her clan but, she had no right. They had gotten the kit back, and that was that, so she couldn't say anything. Clearing her throat, the she-cat slowly made her way over to the leader, tail flicking slightly as she watched Blackfang tell one of the warriors to guard the nursery closely, also handing the she-cat the kit so she could return it to its mother. "I see the rogues have gotten ahold of another kit.." Starkclaw meowed, walking to Jynxstar's side. She sat down uncomfortably next to the tom, blinking slowly "I thought you would have had a warrior stationed there sooner Jynxstar...It's great that you got to the kit before that rogue made it's way deeper into Riverclan territory." lifting her paw, the she-cat slowly licked her delicate and nimble black paw pad, listening closely so she didn't miss something important.

Jynxstar saw Starkclaw walking up with a disapproving look. "I knew I should have put guards up sooner." He paused briefly. "But we barley have any Warriors and we won't last very long if we only have the 3 kits." Jynxstar looked at his paws. "The rouges will learn soon enough not to mess with us. Once leaf bare is over we can have less cats hunting and more protecting us. Shadowclan is not weak and the other clans need to know this. If word gets out about the rouge then..." he couldn't finish his sentence. He was just frustrated at himself for letting it happen.

Slightly padding out of the current den she was in, looking over at the two cats. Jynxstar and Starkclaw. Quickly trotting over to their mini coversation, "What's wrong? What happened?" she said, confused on the current situation as her tail lowered onto the icy grounds of leaf-bare. "Did something get stolen, prey, herbs, kits?" she kept questioning, even with her silent personality, she was curious on the incident that had happened.

"Hmm, surprising," the medicine-cat apprentice said, sarcastically as she sat herself down on the icy ground of the place.

She was about to speak but was silenced by the sound of a younger cat, most likely an apprentice. She sighed, holding back a snarl of confusion and anger. Lifting her head, the she-cat allowed a fake smile to cross her charcoal lips "Everything is fine young Dawnpaw..A rogue snuck into the camp, but our leader successfully returned the kit to its mother unharmed and alive." Clearing her throat, Starkclaw's ear twitched in annoyance. She wished that there were more warriors in the camp to mentor the apprentices, but since there wasn't, the apprentices were becoming more lazier and noisier than a dog howling. Looking back at Jynxstar, she laid her tail on his back reassuringly and caringly "Do not worry....I, your loyal medicine cat will make sure that NO ONE speaks of this...and besides, if word got out, we would know that someone from inside the clan spread the news...." It wasn't hard to see that this she-cat was unfriendly, the signs were all there. Starkclaw just wondered why nobody in the clan suspected her of such a thing as telling the other clans about this failure of security.
