Emberstar listened to the medicine cat's words quietly. StarClan? A prophecy? From the way Shadowleaf was speaking, it didn't seem like good news would follow at all. "Maybe we could help you. What does the prophecy say?" he asked in a hushed voice.

Shadowstar began in a hushed voice.

Cold winter blows, Fire in the sky
Prey runs away from cold winter fear
Begging, pleading, to the water for food
Camp no longer, prey no more,
Look to water to even the score

Eyes narrowed in thought, Stormsong tried to think about what the prophecy could mean, 'Cold winter, fire in the sky... something bad shall happen in winter that the prey shall run from... that isn't good... bad enough to resort to begging to water?... Riverclan!... No camp? No prey? Even the score with water?... Riverclan!' Speaking allowed now, Stormsong hissed, "Riverclan's going to try something in winter."

"No, no.. i beleive we will have to beg riverclan for food, as it said 'Begging, pleading to the water for food.'." ShadowLeaf had a confused look on her face. "Though it also said, look to the water to even the score..." ShadowLeaf thought, then perked up. "A few winters ago, we helped riverclan by giving them prey, because their rivers had frozen over. By asking them for prey, we'll be evening the score!" Her happiness died as she thought about the fie in the sky part. "Though im lost at the fire in the sky part..." She said.

The tortoiseshell tom stayed silent for a few moments, playing the words back within his mind. Every bit of the prophecy sounded bad, that was for certain. Stormsong's voice jolted Emberstar out of his thoughts. RiverClan's going to try something in winter. 'Water' did seem to point to RiverClan; those cats loved the water. "It definitely has something to do with RiverClan, there's no doubt about it. But I'm not sure if they'll be our enemies in this..." he mewed. Begging, pleading, even the score... He didn't really like the sound of that. "We need to prepare for something big, whatever it is," he eventually responded after listening to what Shadowleaf had to say afterwards.

(Guys, riverclans not trying something. im just having an event coming up, and the cland have to look for riverclan for food. You'll see why a lil' later in the roleplay, just dont think theres gonna be an attack )

"Nevertheless, we should try to fortify our camp, and increase patrols." Tail lashing she quoted, "...Camp no longer..." Kneading the ground with her paws, Stormsong added, "If Riverclan actually does help us," nodding at Shadowleaf, "we still must be vigilant about the fire in the sky."

ShadowLeaf nodded. "Yes, it would be good to increase patrols, as well as making new pits to store prey, if prey really is going to start getting scarce." Shadowleaf trembled thinking about those words. She thought about Riverclan. How could they be sure Riverclan would help them?

Lightningpaw's ears flicked. "Hope you like the mouse. I'll go get something myself."
He limped out of the den again and returned to the pile. The air around him felt... heavy. His fur prickled as tension around him rose. He looked over at Emberstar and the two she-cats, who talked close together, hurriedly. He grabbed a vole and laid down near them (not too near, he didn't want to get snapped at) to try to eavesdrop.

Blossompaw heard the older cats talking, but knew better than to try and listen. even though she was technically a medicine cat. But if her mentor had wanted her to hear, she would have called her over. And she wasn't too keep to get in trouble. Being blind, there wasn't much they could use to punish her, and she surely didn't want to be suspended from medicine cat training.
