A Literate-Advanced Feline/Canine Roleplay

A group of cats known as Iliad roam the ruins of a lost Greek city, the crumbling buildings untouched by man for centuries. This place is known to the cats as Olympus, home of mighty gladiators and looked upon with affection by the great gods. These cats, descendants of those first owned generations ago by the city's inhabitants, have embraced the religion of the ones who owned their ancestors, naming their kits after the gods they worship.

Similar to Iliad, a combat-centered nomadic pack of dogs who call themselves Trojans have been encroaching on Iliad's territory for moons, wanting to expand their rule. Though their numbers are lesser than Iliad's, their skill in battle is far greater. Will Iliad be able to defend Olympus from these canines? Will Iliad's diplomatic Empress be able to devise a truce? Or will the Trojans drive the felines from their ancient home?

Meanwhile, Iliad's Empress, a beautiful, intelligent molly named Athena, has recently taken the throne after her father and mother's retirement. However, before she can truly take her place as Empress, she must find a deserving mate to name as Emperor and rule beside her. In these political matters, one may sometimes be required to value strategy over emotions.

The dogs of Troy are facing their own challenges as well. Their General, Mars, a brutal and tactical male has fallen ill in his old age. In his absence, he has enlisted his young sons, Romulus and Remus, to take over the campaign. However, the brothers are little more than amateurs in the field of war and have made constant mistakes in planning and strategy, costing lives and slowing Troy's campaign. Will this be the Trojans' downfall?

• All LioDen roleplay rules apply. •

• Powerplay and godmodding are unacceptable. You WILL be called out. •

• All mature content must either fade to black or be taken off-site. Mild violence and innuendo should be fine so long as you are mindful not to overdo it and respect the boundaries of your fellow roleplayer. •

• This is intended to be an literate/advanced roleplay. You will be required to post at least one paragraph (5 sentences) with proper spelling and grammar. Occasional writer's block is understandable. •

• Please be active. Let me or know if you are taking a hiatus or need to drop the roleplay. Keep in mind if you take a high position and disappear without warning, your character will be replaced to keep things moving. •

• DO NOT answer questions from/welcome brand new RPers. Direct them to me or instead. •

• You may have as many characters as you wish so long as you are active with all of them. •

• Swearing is allowed in moderation. •

• Your character MUST be named after a character in Mythology; Greek if in Iliad (cats), Roman if with the Trojans (dogs). •

• Hate the character, not the player. •

• Restrict 1x1 to just conversations. Make sure that you are not cutting anyone else off/ignoring them or making too much time pass. •

• Your characters can't have be in an amorous relationship with each other. So no crushes or mates with your own characters. •
