While I don't find the encounter particularly bothersome for personal lore reasons, it did kind of confuse me when it happened as it was very unlike the rest of Wenet's quests.

I don't particularly care, as it didn't effect my standing in the game in any way, but I don't see the harm in adding an option for those who would prefer to stay in line with their king's personality. Support from me~

This is old,but I think this would be something very easy to implement and would make people who like to roleplay more happy to have a choice.
Sure you might not give a single fuck about the story aspect, but some do and it doesn't hurt anyone to give them something.
I have barelly touched code in my life, but even I could figure out under max 20 minutes how to add a second button with a different text on it while everything else stayed the same.
Very little effort from me that makes some people's experience with a game better.

isn't point of novels to invest you in story (just how movies and books want same)? esp the way it is written?
if someone isn't invested, ok, fair. but no need to push it on noses of people who do get invested and tell them they shouldn't feel the way they do - sorry that I feel bad for characters I guess

so, the fact that the only option is to steal eggs doesnt personally bother ME since any king i have is going to have karma deep in the negatives bc imo that gets better encounters in explore. most players have bad karma on their kings, actually. im thinking that might be part of the reason why trying to steal eggs is the only option, but the thing is, it doesnt NEED to be the only option

even just a button saying "investigate eggs" alongside the steal option could lead you to the exact same page with wenet misinterpreting what you were doing. itd be like the current event in january, where there are extra pages where you can ignore laharu but ultimately you still need to progress. (which i also opt for since, 1, karma, and 2, any excuse to see more laharu lmao)

also, "itd be too much work" as an argument is really stupid. of course itd be work to implement a suggestion. ANY adjustment will take work. id LOVE to see a website where improving it took literally zero effort, someone let me know when one exists?

all this to say, support! it could either be a really quick and small adjustment, or even a whole other page! either way i see no reason not to do this

Support. My king's all the way in the negatives, but he's still not a thief! There's also no reason at all for there to only be one option when January has multiple extra pages and artwork of Laharu being upset you won't feed him.

All they would have to do is:

A) Make there a second option where you only touch the eggs and she interprets it the same way. Simplest since it doesn't require anything new but an added button.

B) Same as above, but the dialogue changes to show that she thinks you're trying to steal. Maybe a line where you try to explain yourself but she doesn't listen. (Would be best since it keeps king personalities in mind and is only a few extra dialogue lines.)

C) New page! Either you just wait for her or play with them, she comes back, something else happens since they can't just entirely skip forward a day in the quests. Maybe she's doing something with her cousins and/or has something else to do. Just something friendlier.

i am actually so, SO confused about why this suggestion is something to get angry about? .-. like, this is the least harmful suggestion i've ever seen.

anyway, support! i always play good-hearted kings, so this would make sense for roleplaying purposes (for me anyway).
i like the idea of your king just admiring/organizing the eggs for her, and she misinterprets that as you trying to steal them. only thing that needs to be changed if we go that route is maybe edited dialogue? something mentioning you trying to explain yourself, but wenet doesn't believe you.

Support! Maybe if you have good karma, you end up deciding not to steal the eggs and wait for Wenet. Once Wenet comes back, she gives you a new quest with some rewards. If you have bad karma, you steal the eggs successfully but don’t get the special reward.

Wait, people get genuinely UPSET and STRESSED about... THIS?

... It's an aspect of a GAME that has zero effect on the game itself. Just... I can't understand why this makes people upset or hell, STRESSED? Why?

The real world isn't all rainbows and sunshine, no matter how much we might want it to be. Games are the same. I don't feel like the site staff should have to walk on eggshells for every single event, not adding stuff in in case it happens to upset a tiny percentage of players.

I'd rather staff use their time to add more fun or beneficial things to the site. Maybe people need to step back and reevaluate if playing a game is for them or not, not asking stuff to be changed in the game because a handful of people don't like it.

This is a roleplaying game, self indulgent silly little fiction with silly little sparkly lions on some silly little lion breeding sim game, you know, escapism. If I wanted to experiencethe bleakness of reality every corner in reality, I would turn on the closest chanel with tv news.

It's not like the suggestion is asking a big change of theme either- this isn’t one of the serious or grimmer events like the March, January, August or October.

Once again, coding a second button can't possibly be so much effort that it would steal time from larger mechanics. It's a secondary cosmetic icon to let people get more enchanced in the event, in a storyline that's also there for the very same reason. Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean that other people wouldn't be really gratefull if an option was presented to them.

I just really don't understand the negative arguments because in the end it boils down to "I don’t care so you shouldn't either" which is kind of... not really a good argument in my opnion? I don't particularly care for the flavour text either, but if a simple change can make people more invested in the event and have a huge type of players be included in a story, then the minimal effort should be worth it.

In the end it's up to staff to decide what is useless or what needs to be prioritized

Wenet getting angry at you taking some of her eggs is part of the storyline and is needed for the next quest in line. Adding another option would make both of these quests need the be rewritten. I'd rather see staff's time go towards parts of the site that desperately need to be updated before starting to edit event options.

A story is a story and many here Love to have options.
It's not a big deal to add in a 2nd darn button and a slight change to One part. That's it.
It doesn't have to be all re-written Just for that one thing.
People like to have a choice so let them have it. Not like it's gonna break the whole thing.

Also Wenet just just make a mistake like she assumes your stealing and she can normal on RO with the slight change being that 'oh you weren't stealing, just looking. I feel bad' kinda thing.
The rest can be as is.
I mean the July event that was once removed was given an overhaul and that was most of it this is just one tiny part.
