CJB's Lion Eggs

Traipsing through the savannah one fine morning, you come across a confused looking lioness minding her nest. She stands to greet you, and you notice that she's guarding no cubs, but a handful of strange looking eggs.
"Um." She begins, "I'm not sure what happened, but do you want one of these eggs? I seem to have too many care for."
The young lioness introduces herself as Connie, before lapsing into awkward silence.
"Oh!" She exclaims, shifting quickly "They're moving! I can feel them moving!"
