The ones below this have a coloring mistake. The brown is supposed to go all the way to his nose.

Barkstripe, out of his resentment for Aldersong, takes his friend as a mate, who has romantic feelings for him that he doesn't return. However, she was his friend, and she died in labor having Slitherwing; as a result, the remaining beebs that she hadn't yet birthed die.
Barkstripe raised Slitherwing alone after that, and ingrained his own harbored, deep-seated grudges into him. At some point, Slitherwing decided that the LGBT+ cats are a problem, and began to organize a coup de'tat of sorts among the other clans to kill them all. At this point, Barkstripe thought this had gone too far, but he quietly played along for his son, not realizing the full scale that Slitherwing is taking this until the night the attack is going to happen. He tipped off some friend of Aldersong and Pinefleck's, who warned the not-evil people everywhere, and they all prepared for defense and retaliation, with their own daughter leading the charge.
A battler ensued.
Slitherwing found and separated Aldersong from Pinefleck and their daughter, and he tried to kill him, but Barkstripe fended him off and helped Aldersong, to Slitherwing's shock and hurt.
Slitherwing pins down Bark, about to kill him, when Alder kills Slither instead, and he collapses, dead, on top of his father, who is wide-eyed and unable to make a move with his son's body on him (inspired by the lovely Nate Draikinator's MAP part)
