Snowpaw trotted over to the fresh-kill pile, expecting Runningpaw to follow close behind him. As he reached the pile, the snow leopard picked up a large fish and turned around to look back at his best friend. Snowpaw gave Runningpaw a smile, it was slightly coy and funny. Looking around for a place to eat their pray, the apprentices eyes landed on Raincub. The small cub was sitting all alone eating a large squirrel, Snowpaw smiled and nodded his head to the young she-cub. Walking over to Raincub, Snowpaw laid the fish next to her. "Mind if we join you?", Snowpaw asked, sweeping his tail to include Runningpaw.

Snowpaw scowled a bit, as Runningpaw laid down next to him with his own prey. The small anger disappeared though, when he fell Runningpaw press up to him. Snowpaw smiled a bit, but tried to hide it, when he took a large bite of the fish lying between his paws. Hearing his best friends words, Snowpaw quickly swallowed his prey. "Ya, do you know how you want to be named as your mentor?", the snow leopard asked. He remembered back to when he had been named an apprentice, he had been so excited.

Stormcub blinked his bleary eyes as he looked around from his quick power nap and stretched his long legs as he flicked his two tail tipped tail and looked up to see Raincub talking to Snowpaw and Runningpaw and ran up to them as he jumped around and said " Anyone wants to play? I'm bored!" he said as he jumped around. But he then stopped as he saw the paws' had food and said " I can't wait till I become a paw!"

Stormcub let out a purr as he felt her jump on his big back and he started to run around before he rolled onto his back taking her off of him as he let out a playful growl and said " I got you now!" but then looked at her closely and saw that she was quite sad. Stormcub didn't really know why she was sad but knew that she was sad so he got off of her and buried his nose in her fur and said: " Why are you sad?"

FalconCry turned the bend just in time to see his son, StormCub, and the new orphan, RainCub, begin to flutter around the fresh-kill pile jovially. He sat down a little ways away to watch them with a sad smile.

Falcon loved cubs, and he felt concerned for the little one. After all, how hard would it be to try and be raised without a parent? He thought back to SandPaw, but that young boy had so much spirit in him, it'd be hard to not let him grow up. With RainCub, however, it seemed as the young kit was already feeling lonely - and that saddened the bobcat.

With a small sigh, he gets up from his somewhat secluded spot and walks over to the small group, his small form non-threatening.

"Hello, everyone." He says, greeting the apprentices as well as the cubs with a nod of his wide head.

"How's everything going?" He asks, his eyes searching the expressions of his fellow Pride mates as he takes a seat nearer the fresh-kill pile.

Stormcub lifted his head as he looked around his ears perked as he heard the voice of his father, then he saw his big body a little away and with one last look at Raincub he said "We can talk later if you want!" he said before running over to his father. Ashe ran at his father full speed he landed in his poofy fur as he nuzzled in it taking in the warmth and said: " Hey dad!"

FalconCry chuckles at his Cubs enthusiasm, ruffling his head fur with one great paw.

"Hello, son, how's everything going?" He asks with a quick glance toward RainCub.

Stormcub let out a higher pitch giggle as he saw his fathers' eyes flick to Raincub and he said " she is sad because she has no mommy.." he said as he trailed off as he thought about his own mother who he didn't know. As he thought about it he looked up at his father and said " daddy... Wheres our mommy?" He had always wanted to ask but the thought would he swiftly was gone within the big tornado of thoughts in his mind.
