Terrastar watched the patrol leave, turning his attention to Mintwhisper when he noticed she had not come with them. He perked his ears as she approached to show he was listening, nodding his head at the greeting. He purred softly at the request, jumping down from the high stump to join the warrior in the camp clearing. "It would be my pleasure to hunt with you." The leader responded kindly. "It's okay that you take your time to adjust to such a big group, not many can adjust over night." He assured. "Are you familiar with our territory yet?" He asked, his tone still kind and warm. He admitted to himself that he was a little unsure about how well most of his cats knew their territory, and he certainly would not mind if any cat asked him to show them around.

The deep red she-cat smiled at Terrastar, her expression brightening. She appreciated the leaders patience with her adjustment, clan life was admittedly a little overwhelming. “Hmm, I believe I have a general idea of our territory. Though I wouldn’t mind a more detailed tour if you want to show me.” She slowly started to pad toward the entrance, looking back to see if he’d follow and continue the conversation as she walked. “You must be proud of what you’ve done so far, I doubt creating and leading a clan is very easy.” She looked at her surroundings thoughtfully, pausing when her gaze landed on the rising smoke. She hoped that the flames stayed where they were and would die down soon.

Stormstep - 26 Moons - Deputy - Healthy - Territory - Mentions: Rainpaw & Terrastar

"Woah!" Stormstep said, impressed. "That's quite a big shrew! I think we might do some fun battle moves later if you catch some more?" With that he lept over Rainpaw, showing off and smiled then followed the trail of a crow. It cawed and he lurked on the ground, looking up at the branch the Crow was in. It was a plump one. He slithed to the back to of the tree and saw a huge rock. He ran and jumped off of it, not making and sound. He glided over the branch where the Crow was and grabbed it with his teeth. He landed on the ground and squeezed the Crow dead in his teeth. He dropped it and spat out feather and coughed a little. "Ugh. Bird feathers." He brought his Crow over to Rainpaw and dug a little hole. He then proceeded to bury his mouse and crow along with Rainpaw's shrew.

Terrastar nodded his head, following Mintwhisper so they continue talking while they walked. "I'll gladly show you around, there is much to see, I will show you around our borders first." He purred softly. He puffed his chest out at her observation, emitting an aura of pride and the veiled praise. "I do my best, I would not have been able to create Terraclan without any of you, and Stormstep has been an excellent help along the way." He doled out some praise to his Clanmates. He paused when Mintwhisper did, following her gaze to the smoke. "No need to worry about the fire, it's on Aetherclan territory and Birchheart and Tatteredjaw are inspecting our neighbour."

Mintwhisper nodded and continued to follow Terrastar along the borders, slowing down once or twice to scent for prey but otherwise enjoying the tour. “Ever so modest I see.” She raised a brow and smiled, her tone teasing. She hummed contemplatingly as she thought about how to continue the conversation. “Stormstep seems to know what he’s doing as a deputy, and everyone works hard to help run our clan. I’m glad I came here.” She purred, though the sentence trailed into her talking to herself slightly. She looked over at Terrastar curiously, “So where are we going now?”

Paleshine - 25 Moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Open!


Paleshine decided to seperate from the group, heading off as to not embarrass herself in front of anyone. It didn’t take long for her to pick up the scent of a small field mouse nibbling on a berry. Paleshine crouched into position and slowly stocked forward, eventually pouncing, paws forward, mouth agap, a technic she’d used many times before.. on fish. When her paws crashed down on the ground the mouse bolted and Paleshine was left with a mouthful of dirt. She spit out the dirt and sighed “what a great start..” moving forward she lifted her muzzle into the air and fallowed another scent trail “A vole...! Yay..” less than enthusiasticly Paleshine made her way to the vole and repeated her earlier stance.

The vole scurried away as Paleshine’s tail swished in irritation, she’d coughed and the critter made its escape! The cough was obviously unintentional but it still dashed any chance of catching the rodent. “Maybe i could sneak up on a lazy bird?” she looked up into the trees but the current feathered prey was fluttering about, she ignored the thought of diving into the lake and tried to think up other sources of prey.

She ended up catching an unsuspecting muskrat.. it would make a good meal but she still felt defeated considering she’d ended up by the lakes edge.

Heading back she felt slight disappoint but reminded herself that what she had caught was much larger than a mouse, which, did cheer her up abit so when she did finally make it back into camp she proudly plopped her wet prey onto the fresh-kill pile in secret hopes that none of the younger cats would touch it, then moved to a warmer spot in camp to clean herself and dry up.

Maybe it would be best if I found someone else to tag along... he thought pitifully to himself. The combination of thinking about the abnormal rush from his leader and the eeriness of the heavy air was much too distracting, anyhow. Having another clanmate might help keep him focused and on his toes. With a sigh, he turned back and hurried back to camp.

Once he pushed his way back inside, he briefly shook his coat off. His gaze hurriedly observed who was still here, resting upon the long, cream coat of Paleshine, who had only just dropped her prey onto the fresh-kill pile. He always admired her, as evidenced by the petite smile that curled on his muzzle. "Hello there, Paleshine," he meowed kindly, "that's a good find you have there!"

Paleshine chewed on her shoulder in attempts to rid herself of the watery scent that came as a cost for her hunting style, it’s not like she hadn’t come to be accustomed to the natural smell but at the same time she didn’t want to smell like a walking fish, that be gross.. and confusing.

Almost dry she resorted to just shaking her limbs and risked looking like a living bush, unfortunately, she heard someone approach and looked up to see Risingstorm whom greeted her “Hello Risingstorm!” she glanced at her kill “Thank you, i actually caught it not to long ago.” She sat up and shook an itchy damp paw “Burry any prey?” Paleshine inquired while attempting to clean off the extra water caught in her coat considering she probably looked ridiculous in the eyes of the tabby.

His smile beamed all the more when the she-cat acknowledged him, the feeling of kind recognition making warm feelings swell in his chest. It was certainly one of the things that he always wanted to experience, and now that he was among a group, he could.

While the she-cat was certainly still a tad damp from her previous escapades, he certainly must be the embarrassing one; after all, he was the one who gave up on his hunt rather quickly for once and returned to camp from his order empty-jawed. It's so unlike me, and so shameful, he thought to himself, but I can't just lie to her. It's not as if I didn't just come back into camp. He briefly looked toward the ground bashfully, grasping the corner of his lip with one of his fangs. "N...No, I haven't buried any prey yet. I actually haven't caught anything yet."

He returned his widened gaze to her own, seeking out, and hoping for, a social relief. She was a kind soul like him, but would she just humor him, or genuinely support him?

Paleshine haulted her actions and a gentle smile graced her as her forest eyes connected with his mixed ones, reading his look, she placed a paw above his heart for a moment “There’s no reason to be ashamed of yourself, your a great warrior Risingstorm and i promise if you go back out there and try again you’ll do great” she removed her paw from his chest “as long as you don’t give up everything will be okay” her ears flickered back and she looked to the side “Ah, sorry i didn’t mean to embarrass you or anything..” her gaze shifted to his once more “But i‘m serious about you doing great.”

Her paws danced nervously ‘I probably did embarrass him! Oh noooo i’m such a mousebrain, why couldn’t i have just told him the first part and then shut my maw!?’ She sighed inwardly ‘Calm down Paleshine you meant what you said and what has been said can’t be taken back.’ She straightened herself and masked the slight fear that was felt ‘What if that made him.. mad.?’ her heart sunk at the thought.

He wanted to avoid the area for now, he had seen twolegs there. "I'm taking you to the border closest to horseplace, I want to show you something."

Mintwhisper chuckled in amusement. “I’d like to know more too.” She purred and gave Terrastar a very exaggerated ‘wink.’ “But thank you, that means a lot to me.” The she-cat noticed they were heading away from the rising smoke and looked at Terrastar curiously until he provided an explanation as to where they were heading. When hearing he had something to show her, her ear perked with intrigue. “I do hope your not showing me your secret love child with a barn cat Terrastar.” She mock accused, “Tsk, how improper Monsieur.” She lay her ear back and held up her head dramatically, strutting now instead of walking, pretending to act like a self important kitty pet. Her long fluff helping the image. She let the act drop however after a few strides, snickering at herself. The posture was quite uncomfortable. How did those poor pets manage to walk like that, she wondered idly.

Terrastar let out a soft chuckle, returning the 'wink' with one of his own. "Perhaps one day." He bowed his head a little and lead the way more towards the lake. He let out a soft mock gasp at the fake accusation. "I thought I swore that barn cat to secrecy!" He exclaimed, pretend shock etched onto his face. He held back amused laughter, finding that he should keep this little act up a little bit longer, even if Mintwhisper's walk was very entertaining. He finally let his laughter escape as the she-cat snickered, speeding up a little to catch up with her. He held his tail high and tried to mimic her previous strut. He let it falter after stumbling. "I will never be able to walk like that. Kittypets must have been raised from kithood to walk like that." He shook his head, he was glad he had grown up rogue. He had in mind to show her a beautiful island. It was close to Aetherclan's borders, but they could access it from Terraclan territory.

Risingstorm - 26 Moons - Warrior - Healthy - Camp - Mentions: Paleshine, Open!

He purred momentarily as he felt relieved by her words. Thank goodness she was the cat he came across first on his early, downtrodden trip back to camp without prey. Ever her touch was still an unfamiliar comfort that soothed his nerves. It was certainly one of the benefits with linking up with so many others. He tilted his head warmly, a small smile on his maw. "Thank you for reassuring me," he began again, momentarily touching her shoulder with the base of his paw before retracting it. "I appreciate it. I certainly need it on a day like today; I have no idea why I'm exceptionally lacking my confidence today. Maybe it's just from the odd sensation in the air today?"

He looked back toward the spot his leader had hustled from not too long ago. "Or maybe I'm just distracted from Terrastar's brash departure>" he inquired, fishing for his clanmate's opinion. Did she notice it the same way he had?
