Tatteredjaw looked at the larger she-cat for a moment, ears flicking as she thought over her response. “My wounds will require treatment to ward off infection, but other than that, I’ll be alright. How are you? Settling in well?” The small warrior hummed, gently bumping her shoulder against Mintwhisper’s in a friendly manner. It was just something she’d do to those she felt comfortable with. Her paw pads stung, something she hadn’t noticed beforehand, but they’d heal fine with some treatment.

Birchheart - 24 Moons - Warrior - Injured - Territory - Mentions: Terrastar, Tatteredjaw, Open!

Birchheart winced when she saw the look Tatteredjaw gave her. It was harsh, but Birchheart knew Tatteredjaw was right. What was she thinking, she could have hurt herself more; and most importantly make Terrastar more worried about her. She felt awful making him worry about her, but something in her just wanted to be around him. Whether it was for the mission or for comfort she’ll never confess.

She could understand where both cats were coming from; she would be worried sick if either of them were hurt. In her thoughts, she realized that Tatteredjaw had mentioned Aetherclan’s status. “Tatteredjaw’s right,” she squeaked, “Aetherclan needs our help! Please let us help them, Terrastar!” She whined. She didn’t want to act like a kit, but with her physical state and what she saw at Aetherclan, all she could do was beg! Birchheart desperately wanted to help. All she could to way pray to Starclan that Terrastar would let them.

Mintwhisper hummed thoughtfully, trusting that the smaller warrior wasn’t lying about her injuries. The burns didn’t look too bad. “Make sure you get them checked out though. Shouldn’t you have gotten your injuries taken care of as well?” She shook her head in wonder, “I get that the message was important but for starclan’s sake you all need to look after yourselves.” She lightly chastised. The she-cat bumped Tatterjaw’s shoulder back a smile flickering across her face as she replied to the question. “I’m good, adjusting to being in big groups is a bit hard admittedly but I’m starting small.” She glances at the small group, “I can do this size pretty well.”

Tatteredjaw chuckled softly, her shoulders relaxing since Terrastar wasn’t looking at her. She knew her fellow warrior was right, however, it wasn’t good to leave without treatment. “I’m still not quite used to having other cats treat my wounds, in all honesty, but I’ll be sure to check in with Maplestream when we get back. I’m glad you’re not having too much trouble adjusting to clan life, I was a bit intimidated at the thought of a group at first too.” She said, picking up her pace to keep up with the other cats. Paleshine trudged out of the camp, she couldn’t stay here, this wasn’t the life for her. To have to put your trust in somebody else made her wary of betrayal and she realizes that now. Moving forward her expression was one of pure saddens, she hasn’t known these cats for long but they haven’t wronged her and to think bad on them would be an unjust action so she’d move on quietly without malice and remember those around her as another would family.

Here she was once again traveling towards the unknown, maybe this time she’d learn on her own and make a true cat of herself.

As she stepped with weighted legs she turned and spotted a small group of her former clan mates who were just out of earshot.. a part of her wished one of them would turn, see her, and call her over, but, she wouldn’t give them the chance as she dashed off into the distance where the territory’s ended and the uncharted began..

There goes Paleshine and here comes Valentine, she leaves her warrior behind.

Stormstep looked at Terrastar. "You have to help them. I can stay here with Mintwhisper, unless you would like me to go and you can't just let them die." He gazed into Terrastar's eyes. He dug his claws into the ground. He liked Mintwhisper and wanted to spend more time with her ut he also needed to help the other cats.

The scarred she-cat looked at Stormstep, straightening her posture once more as she thought over his words. She agreed with his statement, it would be awful if Aetherclan was lost because of this. She suddenly stopped, recognizing the yellow petals of a marigold. This will save Maplestream some time.

After taking a moment to apply the poultice to her wounds, Tatteredjaw ran to catch up to the much faster and taller cats. She already felt the helpful plant begin to draw out infection.

Mintwhisper’s ears flicked forward when she heard Stormstep say her name. She didn’t quite catch the whole sentence but caught the jist of what the deputy was saying. She raised her head slightly to look over Tatteredjaw and entered the conversation, her name was mentioned after all. “Stormstep while I appreciate your concern I’ll be fine on my own. I am a warrior as well so if I can help out I won’t just stand idly.” Her tone became slightly annoyed at the end as she had guessed that Stormstep suggested they stay behind because she was new and needed protection. As if, she was very capable of handling herself. She soon relaxed her posture however and hid any further irritation, shaking her head as if to clear it.

Terrastar offered Birchheart the support she needed as they headed back, soft purrs escaping him every now and then as he heard the she-cats purring. He narrowed his eyes slightly when he heard that their neighbouring clan needed help. He felt like he was in a pickle. He wanted to show his cats that he was a kind and just leader, but he also wanted to expand their territory, perhaps even take some of Aetherclan's cats into his Clan. Quickly, he thought of a path that was somewhat in the middle. He gazed at Stormstep as he came up to him, he had a feeling the deputy wanted to be with Mintwhisper for other reasons than showing her around. "We will help them, we can help hunt for them, gather herbs, and I'm sure Maplestream can help their medicine cats if needed." He eventually said. While helping Aetherclan, he would slowly move the border further into Aetherclan territory."But first, we tend to Birchheart and Tatteredjaw." He asserted, resting his tail over Birchheart's back and leaning closer to whisper in her ear. "Please be more careful when I send you out on a mission."

"I actually had an idea in mind for you, Stormstep, and Rainpaw." The leader mewed, turning his attention to the three. "While I would love to show you the island myself, I was thinking to expand the border to engulf all the easiest ways to get there." He explained. He had not seen any Aetherclan cat swim there, so he did not see why they should have territory close to it. "I want you three to do the expansion, perhaps Mintwhisper could teach the two of you to swim." He added a soft teasing tone towards his deputy.

Stormstep smiled at Terrastar and purred. "Of course." He nodded to Mintwhisker and Rainpaw. He passed the bushes and flicked his tail at Terrastar, thanking him. He walked up to where the original borders were. "Here are our borders. But now we can expand them down to there." He flicked his tail to where the lake ended. It was a quarter into Aetherclan's territory. He stepped onto Aetherclan lands, now Terraclan lands. He strutted up to the edge of the lake and started to mark the borders. He stopped at rested his eyes on the sunset for a moment.

Tatteredjaw swallowed back the lump in her throat, her ears burning with shame. With a quiet sigh, the short but sturdy she-cat straightened her back and replied in a soft voice. “My wounds will heal quickly, I can assist Aetherclan as well.”
She felt ashamed of herself, how could she be so stupid as to go near the fire?! It was humiliating.

She felt shame rise in her, it seemed that the whole clan was scolding her. She held her low, she really disappointed her clan mates and especially her leader. She muttered a small apology to both Tatteredjaw and Mintwhisper. She continued to lean on Terrastar. “Of course Terrastar, I’ll try to be more careful.” Birchheart whispered back to him.

She desperately wanted to redeem herself, but figured the best way to do so was to heal and get better.

As Birchheart started walking to camp, she gave him a quick lick on his chest. “Thank you for helping me.” She meowed sweetly. She purred constantly, to make her feelings somewhat known.

Rainpaw - 12 Moons - Apprentice - Healthy - Territory - Mentions: Stormstep

Rainpaw nodded her head at their leader and scampered after Stormstep. She followed Stormstep’s actions and started to mark what would be new part of their territory. She saw the island in the distance and a wave of excitement flew through her. It had been awhile since she last has the chance to swim, and she was eager to slip into the cool water. Looking a little ways further, Rainpaw caught a glimpse of Aetherclan territory. She thought of what the older cats had said about the Aetherclan cats. Birchheart and Tatterjaw ended up injured, so who knows how badly the other clan was hurt? She considered the idea of new members being welcomed into the clan from Aetherclan. After all, Terraclan was currently the strongest of the two at the moment. Surely some Aetherclan cats may think of joining. The idea of new apprentices interested her. Owlpaw didn’t talk to her often, and she missed having cats her age to talk to. The sun was starting to set. She took another glance at Aetherclans territory, and when back to marking the new land.

Tatteredjaw watched the two, her heart slightly twisting as Birchheart showed that bit of affection to their leader, but quickly brushed it off. The injured she-cat was her friend, she wouldn’t let them being interested in the same tom ruin that. She lagged behind until she was no longer within sight or earshot, stalking off to do some hunting for herself.

Hopefully Stormstep and the others will be alright, what am I thinking of course they’ll be, they aren’t as foolish as to venture near the fire.

Her mind raced as she tracked the scent of a shrew, careful as to not rustle the leaves with her large paws. The sturdy warrior’s muscles tensed as she prepared to leap.
