Terrastar - 43 Moons - Terraclan Leader - Dead - Aetherclan (temp.) Camp - Mentions: Fernstar, Open!

Terrastar barely noticed a cat attacking him, as luckily Birchheart got rid of her before any damage was done. He made a mental note to thank her later on, then made his way to where he assumed Fernstar to be. He found her and did not hesitate to launch himself into an attack on her, catching her by surprise. He slammed her to her side and bit into her neck the best he could. Unluckily for him, he bit into a mouthful of fur. Still, he churned his hind legs against her and ripped out tufts of fur from the large Aetherclan cat.

Fernstar soon managed to gather herself and did the trick of going limp, then throwing her attacker off her. She got to her paws and Terrastar got to his. The two leaders glared at each other, their encounter wordless. Blood seeped from the wounds Terrastar had inflicted upon Fernstar, but the she-cat seemed to pay no mind. Almost unexpectedly, she leapt at Terrastar again, the tom barely able to jump out of the way. He hissed loudly, above him, clouds gathered. Just as the two leaders were ready to leap at each other again, lightning struck from above, striking Terrastar mid-leap.

"Wait no. This wasn't supposed to happen." The thought flashed through him as quickly as the lightning as he soon realised what was to come. He was supposed to strike Fernstar down, make everyone see he was the stronger one, therefore more capable of protecting them. He was supposed to gather all the cats under himself and form a big strong clan that functioned like a big family. He had even managed to re-find the kit he had with that loner so long ago. Sassy, that was her name. Hopefully he would be able to return in the form of a Dark Forest cat to guide Birchheart in the direction he wanted his clan to go. At least he would lead them all in death.

Thunder rumbled loudly shortly after his body hit the ground, rain starting to pour down heavily. Fernstar stood a few tail-lengths away, safe from the wrath of Starclan. If she had been any closer, she would have lost another life. At least for now, Terrastar was a threat of the past.

Ravenkit watched as Sweetheart brought in more kits and sat still. But he could only sit still for so long. His Clan needed him, and the little speech Stonekit had had inspired him. He waited until cats seemed busy, then slipped out of the nursery and ran towards where he knew Fernstar was. If he protected their leader, surely the grown ups would see that kits were just as powerful! He stayed in the shadows as much as he could, and when he finally got there, Fernstar and the Terraclan tom were already fighting. His plan had been to defend, but he was unable to. He simply stared at the large tom, that same thought from earlier jumping to mind. They were so similar... Could this tom be his dad?

The kit did not have any luxuries of thinking about the issue, or even talking to the dark brown tom before it happened. Lightning struck, momentarily blinding him so he had to close his eyes. When he opened them again, the tom lay dead on the ground, and Fernstar was safe. His mouth fell open and he could do nothing but stare.
